IDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network)
An Integrated Digital Enhanced Network (IDEN) is wireless technology that combines a digital cellular telephone, a two-way radio, pager, and a data/fax modem into a single device. An IDEN also offers push-to-talk (or PTT) functionality, which works similarly to a walkie-talkie.
What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About IDEN (Integrated Digital Enhanced Network)
While IDEN technology is outdated today, SMBs used IDENs to communicate before the widespread adoption of smartphones and other mobile devices. Around the turn of the century, IDENs were unlike anything else in the workplace and were seen as a revolutionary piece of technology.
