CLV (constant linear velocity) is a term used in data storage to describe the rotational speed of discs. For discs to rotate at a constant linear velocity, they must spin at a specific number of revolutions per minute (RPM). As data is read from the outer to the inner edge, the disc must maintain a linear velocity for accurate data reading.
