Home-Area Network (HAN)

A Home-Area Network (HAN) is a network control point for a variety of devices that are connected to a home network and located within a home. These can include any sort of computing device, smartphone, entertainment system, etc. A HAN is generally used for wireless devices and can serve as a master control system, allowing new connections and monitoring the performance of existing ones.

What Small and Midsize Businesses Need to Know About Home-Area Network (HAN)

Small businesses will only interact with a HAN if that business is based inside/works out of an individual's (such as a freelancer or home-based eCommerce business). In that instance, a HAN can help prioritize the data needs of the business during working hours, and can be modified to allow guest devices to connect.
