### "MISERABLE TO USE SOFTWARE THAT IS UNNECESSARILY OVER-COMPLICATED" — 1.0/5

> **Cons**: Need an accounting degree to use and understand any of the accounting functions. Even then it is so impossible to get any of the amounts to work out correctly because any changes to be made (like adjusting the principal) need to be done in many different locations throughout the account screens. The software doesn't fully integrate with Microsoft word despite Vertican's assurances that it would. Cannot batch process documents on word as promised. Have to generate each document separately. Most needed reports, such as inventory, late payments, etc. aren't pre-programmed. Reports need to be manually created which is extremely time consuming. Of course Vertican will create the report for you for a cost. All training expenses are YOUR responsibility. You would think that after spending thousands of dollars on this worthless software they would attempt to train you at no additional expense. NOPE\!  The software requires old fashioned keystrokes to operate and navigate through the system. Forget using the mouse and having the ability to click on buttons to find the information you need. Speaking of which, the information you need is usually not where you think it should be. Most of the time the information is located on different screens or there is no place for this information to be kept and easily retrieved. When you need customer support to answer even a simple question, they can do that for you...but for a price. Save your time and money and find better collection software.

> **Pros**: We've been a user for nearly 3 decades now. The program works for what it's intended. It has most of what you could ask for in a collection program

> **Cons**: It's old. And it shows it Migrating to any other software, including their updated version would be a herculean task and undertaking. Support has never been all that great in our experience, but with 30 years under out belt, we don't overly rely on it too much anymore either
