Hyperproof Taking on the Old Gaurd
Pros:
Hyperproofs tech is on par with their competitors, but more importantly, their support is top-shelf.
Cons:
Really didn't run into any stumbling blocks yet, but will update my review if something arises.
Alternatives Considered: AuditBoard
Reasons for Choosing Hyperproof: To find something easier to use for my team.
Switched From: NAVEX IRM (formerly Lockpath)
Reasons for Switching to Hyperproof: The team at Hyperproof was the selling factor.
A Compliance Operations platform that scales with ease
Comments: My overall experience with Hyperproof has been great. The product is very easy to use. The UI design is intuitive. Best of all is their customer support team, they really go out of their way for their customers.
Pros:
What I like most about Hyperproof is that we are able to add new security standards/frameworks to our ever expanding scope and utilize the Jumpstart feature to instantly map our existing proof to satisfy those new requirements. Adding additional standards/frameworks has never been easier.
Cons:
Where Hyperproof fell short in relation to its competitors is in the area of initial cloud integrations. Since the product prides itself on automating evidence collection, I expected more SaaS integrations for automation purposes. However, over the last year, I have seen vast improvements in this area.
Alternatives Considered: AuditBoard, Tugboat Software, MyVCM and ZenGRC
Reasons for Switching to Hyperproof: Jira integration was a top priority for us. We needed a product that could be integrated with both Jira Cloud and Jira Datacenter simultaneously. We wanted to ensure that when collecting evidence from product teams, we did not alter their workflows.
Streamlining GRC with Hyperproof - A Valuable Tool!
Comments: Hyperproof has been a valuable addition to our GRC processes, providing a centralized platform for managing compliance and risk. The filtering capabilities have made reporting and analysis more efficient, saving me time and effort. While there are some limitations, such as the absence of a built-in approval flow and restricted field editing, the benefits are still significant. With Hyperproof, my team can now focus on high-priority risk management activities as opposed to manual admin work, thus maintaining a strong compliance posture. I recommend Hyperproof to any GRC Leaders looking to streamline their operation.
Pros:
1. Intuitive data filtering options for reporting made my life as a GRC Leader incredibly easy 2. Robust features for managing compliance and risk 3. User-friendly interface for navigating complex data
Cons:
- Lack of built-in approval flow, requiring manual workarounds - Inability to edit certain built-in fields, such as assessed risk, limiting customisation
Alternatives Considered: Drata, Vanta and ProcessBolt
Reasons for Switching to Hyperproof: Hyper proof seemed closer to the way we were doing Risk Management. Also ease of use and set up was a key differentiator.
Hyperproof review Alex Simonin
Comments: Really good, customer support has been second to none. Best support I have gotten to date in any tool roll out.
Pros:
Really easy to deploy and start using. No coding or complicated config required.Customer support was amazing. [sensitive content hidden] was amazing at bringing us through all the features and really ensuring we understood their use and applicability. She has set us up for success.
Cons:
I wish reports and dashboards were more customizable. This would allow more effective reporting closer t the hyperproof tool. Right now I export info and create my own visuals.
Excellent product and excellent people
Comments: Overall, despite the loss of analytics mentioned above, the experience with Hyperproof has been extremely positive. The system is well designed, their people are helpful and responsive, and we were able to vastly improve our external audit capabilities in a surprisingly short timeframe.
Pros:
When compared to other systems, Hyperproof is feature rich and user friendly. But the company really shines through their people. From Contracts to Implementation and Support, their people are some of the best you will work with.
Cons:
I did not like that analytics was one of the key must-haves when we were in discussions for selecting them as our solution and then after we had signed and completed onboarding, they removed their analytics module in favor of providing integrations to external BI platforms. I understand that their sales team may not have been aware that this was looming, but it has created a real headache for us because we were looking for robust native reporting.
Alternatives Considered: Drata, Third Party Risk Management Product Suite, Origami Risk for Risk Management, Diligent Boards, Secureframe and Fusion Framework System
Reasons for Choosing Hyperproof: KnowBe4 discontinued their KCM (GRC) product completely, forcing us to select a new vendor.
Switched From: KnowBe4
Reasons for Switching to Hyperproof: We performed a thorough review of both objective and subjective measures (e.g. cost, ROI, feature set, user experience, etc.). After ranking ten products from seven vendors, Hyperproof was in first place, offering the most value by both sets of measures.
