Supercharged user engagement
Comments: My experience with Viafoura has been overwhelmingly positive. Their account reps and managers reach out to us regularly to help us with challenges or show us new ways to use their products. I highly recommend their products to any publisher hoping to add community engagement to their sites.
Pros:
The implementation of this product, as well as the moderation features, make Viafoura a wonderful solution for reintroducing user conversations on our Web sites. We are a local media provider and publish scores of stories every day. We had given up on commenting and live chats because of limited time available to moderate those conversations, but the AI and human moderation offered by Viafoura has made this a viable option for us again. We still review the user comments each day but without this proactive moderation offered by Viafoura, we wouldn't have moved forward. Also, the AI seems to become smarter over time as we manually override its choices.
Cons:
Early in the deployment the AI moderation was still learning and more local moderation was needed. But in the past few months we have been able to scale back the time we devote to moderation. A production-ready mobile app SDK would be great as well!

Two minutes for Roughing!
Comments: Viafoura help us ensure things are always running smoothly within Sportsnet.ca's commenting community, a place which -- given the naturally polarizing nature of the subject matter -- can be quite, er, "spirited" at times. Their moderation workflow allows us to see where some users may be stepping over the line and in need of a few minutes in the penalty box, to see the sports metaphor through. Beyond that, the customer support is top-notch and the roadmap of new features we can benefit from in the future is very robust.
Pros:
Although we thankfully don't utilize it as much as other sites may need to, the incremental ban functionality is extremely valuable and helps us maintain decorum within the comment threads on our news articles.
Cons:
Haven't come across anything that feels truly lacking or problematic.

Alternatives Considered:
Viafoura fits to our business
Comments: In our case, we need to offer users a ratings and comments platform in a large number of pages (more than 3 million pages) , administrator moderation, integration with a third party identity management platform, business owners could manager their comments, etc...
Pros:
It is a flexible and configurable software, it makes easy the integration in different ways (frontend, api,...) and the offer a good customer service.
Cons:
Maybe the administration application could be structured in a more usable way, but in general the software covers all the expected funcionalities with quality.

The best tool to moderate comments
Comments: The ViaFoura moderation system helps to build a loyal digital community that interacts, thinks and discusses without offenses.
Pros:
ViaFoura adds value to our subscription-based business model. This tool allows us to increase engagement, subscriptions and retention rates of readers. ViaFoura makes it easy to eliminate offensive and defamatory comments. It allows us to keep a community of readers away from xenophobia, discrimination based on gender or origin because we can moderate comments and avoid inappropriate words.
Cons:
I haven`t negative observations about this software.

ViaFoura
Pros:
Easy to use as a user and provides a lot of insights as a product manager.
Cons:
For us the migrating to V3 was hard because of the custom features we've build in.
