No one is going to log into a separate system to look at a feed, and while a written shout out is nice... if there's no value attached other than "nice," no one cares. Matter is different. There is real value attached but at a flexible and low cost to the company. Their Feedback Fridays in Slack have motivated an awesome culture of thanking people publicly for their help, and as a manager, it gives me a quick way to thank a team member for going above and beyond.
