> **Pros**: What I like best in the FTR is that I can manipulate the channels to hear each speaker clearly, especially when there is cross-talk. As well, it is useful when the audio is not clear on a channel and you need to listen to that part of the audio when transcribing. The playback allows me to speed up the audio if a speaker is talking slowly and slow down the audio if a speaker is talking too fast.

> **Cons**: This software does not reduce or cancel background noises in the audio or static, which can be harsh on your ears.
> 
> This software is easy to use, and it is free to download. I used it with a foot pedal, which is easy to set up and allows me to fast forward and go backwards to listen to the audio as needed.
