## Reviews

### "Syspeace is a great product to protect your email server from brute force password hacking" — 5.0/5

> **John** | *August 20, 2020* | Higher Education Software | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: My favorite part of the software is that it will only deny an account access to their email when it is either under attack or the user has a device sending an old password. In the past this would cause the entire account to lock in Active Directory which would deny the account access to everything.
>
> **Cons**: If users share an IP, like with a home router, one user's device that is sending bad passwords can block everyone in the house from accessing their email. The software is only checking the IP the bad passwords are coming from rather than the username and IP
>
> I have had nothing but great experiences with Syspeace. The software works flawlessly 99% of the time. When I have run into an issue, I reach out to support and they immediately look into it and have written a beta version of the software for us several times that solves the issue and then later that fix is added to the main release for everyone else who has not yet had the issue we were facing.

### "Syspeace Provides Peace of Mind" — 5.0/5

> **Mike** | *September 15, 2020* | Internet | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: This software has been pretty much "Set it and forget it". It currently protects multiple customer servers and works night and day to help prevent brute-force login attempts on RDP, SQL Server and more. Syspeace also offers a .Net interface which allows us to make a simple HTTP POST and add someone to the black-list programmatically, which means that our applications can auto-ban someone if they break any rules that we create (example, if we see a lot of attempts \[often used as preliminary reconnaissance for break-in attempts\] we can ban the IP within that first couple of seconds of that attempt). Syspeace also has a console/dashboard that we can run locally to live-monitor the status of all servers where we have the software installed. Having a centralized blacklist from Syspeace (based on shared information) is helpful to block certain malicious traffic even if it has not yet hit one of your own servers. Auto-rejection of server login attempts based on GEO-IP information has also been very helpful for some of our clients.
>
> **Cons**: There is very little to dislike here. The license renewal can be a bit confusing, but that is not the fault of Syspeace... it is the nature of having multiple server licenses where each has a different start and expire date, so not really a negative on the product itself.
>
> Having an additional layer of security for brute-force login attempts that works without us having to think about it or constantly monitor it has been great. Support has also been great, when we have a question the response is relatively quick and always very complete (not a canned response like we often get from other vendors - "Have you turned it off and back on again?")

### "Feeling after Syspeace trial" — 4.0/5

> **Gerardo** | *August 11, 2021* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I really like the ease of use, the console is small but very friendly, it has the basic you need to get the servers protected from brutal force attacks. I think this tool is cheaper compared to some other vendors.
>
> **Cons**: The console is basic, maybe it could get some additional developement to make it more visual for the admins, but that doesn't affect the software performance.
>
> I used the trial (really twice) and got very positive results. We have some critical web and file servers protected by anti-malware and a firewall but we use Syspeace like an additional security layer. After first trial expired I registered again because the tool was really helpful but unfortunally my boss doesn't approve the budget to purchase it. I know that the cost of any tool that protects your environment and/or data is really cheaper if you compare it to the cost of being attacked and loss your data or reputation.

### "Peace of Mind" — 5.0/5

> **John** | *July 21, 2020* | Warehousing | Recommendation rating: 9.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I'm a software guy... a database guy... We recently deployed a Cloud server to allow the road warriors and remote developers a centralized location for data access and development. While we are aware of server security and firewalls, we were completely blown away by the VOLUME of security entries in the Event Log... Unmanagable, and frightening. Within 20 minutes of completing the order, SysPeace immediately brought peace of mind, visibility, and a hands-off reliable solution to stopping unwanted access to the server without days worth of Firewall configuration. Easy to use, easy to understand, effective, and reliable.
>
> **Cons**: I love everything about the software, there really are no Cons. If I had to pick something I wish was better; I wish I had better analytics and reports about what was going on. I wish I could see more of this from the remote console without having to log into the server.
>
> Fantastic support. Patient, responsive, thorough, even from all the way on the other side of the planet. It's been a really long time since I've had a business partner as thorough, engaged, and as participatory as the team at SysPeace.

### "Stop Login Attacks" — 5.0/5

> **Jeff** | *July 20, 2020* | Construction | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Syspeace has been used for a couple servers in our network, starting with SBS2008 running Exchange 2007. We knew that there were attempts to get into our system and we discovered patterns of alphabetical attempts as well as hit and run attempts that occurred days apart. The rules based system was able to stop many, but not all of the attempts at the IP address level.

Our Windows 2019 Server and on-premise Exchange have been less prone to these attacks due to better security protocols and Syspeace has become a final line of defense.
>
> **Cons**: With SBS2008, there were too many attacks that seemed to be coming from unknown sources and Syspeace could not deal with them. This was likely a shortcoming of SBS2008.
>
> Tech support has been excellent and a couple suggestions have been implemented. Syspeace taught us a lot about how we were being attacked and gave us suggestions about working with our hardware firewall to make our network more secure.
