> **Pros**: We have used i-doit for many years and it served us very well. It is pretty easy to use, yet very advanced in its possibilities. Setting it up in the first place is absolutely no problem for an average skilled IT worker. The granularity in which you can configure the assets is very useful and the functional scope is as good for smaller businesses as it was for us. We do have a big vSphere environment with far more than 1.000 VMs and the according hardware infrastructure, spanning over several data centers. Still, managing all the assets with i-doit was no problem and it was ideal for quick reports in every extent. We had several support cases during the years and every contact with the i-doit support personnel was friendly, purposeful and our questions were solved quickly.

> **Cons**: To all the advantages there is one rather small downside and that is in my opinion the web backend. Everything is there but sometimes a little hidden. Every now and then I spent quite a while to find certain settings.

> **Pros**: Die Datenstrukturen im i-doit sind genial einfach und deshalb fast auf jeden Bedarf anpassbar.&#10;Die Installation und auch die Softwarepflege ist ebenfalls sehr einfach gestaltet.

> **Cons**: Es fehlt bei der Nutzung mit mehreren Mandanten die übergreifende Benutzerverwaltung, sowie mandantenübergreifende Objekte.&#10;Auch die Sichtbarkeit von Objekten über die Rechteverwaltung abzubilden wäre ein lohnenswertes Feature.

> Wir verwalten mit i-doit alle Assets der IT inkl. der Kabeldokumentation. Ebenso werden Software und Lizenzen, sowie zyklische Wartungen mit i-doit verwaltet.&#10;Somit haben wir (fast) nur ein Werkzeug in dem wir Informationen suchen und finden.&#10;Bis heute haben wir kein Werkzeug gefunden, dass diese Fexibilität bei der gegebenen Einfachheit ermöglicht.&#10;Die größte Hürde bei der Einführung von i-doit liegt im OSI-Layer 8. Wenn der Nutzer gewillt ist das zu dokumentieren, was nötig ist, erhält man ein wertvolles Werkzeug, das extrem die Effektivität steigert.&#10;Der Mensch neigt leider oft dazu Dinge entweder garnicht, nicht vollständig oder zu detailliert zu dokumentieren. Hier ein gesundes Mittelmaß zu finden ist die große Herausforderung.

> **Pros**: Die Abstimmung mit dem Hersteller gingen in der ersten Phase sehr gut und unkompliziert, die Funktionsvielfalt ist sehr umfangreich und bietet für unsere Anwendungen sehr viele Möglichkeiten, das Netzwerk für neue Anwendungen ist groß und umfangreich

> **Cons**: Die Dokumentation und der Support für die API hat uns anfänglich Probleme gemacht und in einigen Fällen auch noch nicht richtig weiterhelfen können (Performance -Probkematik beim Synchronisieren von Datenbeständen)

> **Pros**: Praktisch alles kann dokumentiert werden. Neben der IT-Infrastruktur werden auch Verträge mit Dienstleistern und der Brandschutz auf Etagenplänen erfasst. Wir haben i-doit direkt an unseren HelpDesk Zammad angebunden, wodurch wir jetzt auch Geräte in der IT-Dokumentation direkt im Ticket verknüpfen können.

> **Cons**: Das man nichts kalkulieren kann. Wenn man schon alle Betriebskosten von Geräten erfasst, wäre es gut wenn diese auch z.B. im zugewiesenen Arbeitsplatz kumuliert werden.

> Sehr gut, gibt kaum etwas Vergleichbares im Markt.
