Google meet

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Attendance tracking is very nice , price very good as you can have 1 user up to 500 attendees.

Pros:

It's very accessible to use by everyone, even without login on desktop browser, also fast and clear and have many features especially it's integrated with Google Calendar

Cons:

No private chat, breakout rooms is a bit complicated maybe we can add option to allow user choose the room he want, not only set up by the host.

Best for phones

5.0 2 months ago New

Pros:

Google Meet is free to download and use. No sign up you just use your Google account.Google Meet works great on my phone. I need to walk and talk. App is easy to get to and open. Call connects fast. If someone doesn't answer I can still say or show what I need and send the recording.

Cons:

People who are invited still have to knock and ask to join sometimes. It would go faster if they could just join.

Hangouts- not all good

3.0 2 years ago

Comments: My negatives happen to be that Google hang out sometimes can be distracting especially since we have been teaching virtually and the students will you think they’re paying attention to you on zoom or whatever but they’re not because they are in Google hangouts chatting with each other. This is where I have my negativity comes in because I can’t get them out of the chats and I can’t control the chats like I would like to be able to. I don’t like to be one of those teachers that says no but they need to be focusing on me during class time and not on their Google hangouts.

Pros:

I have to say I have mixed review about Google hangouts. When I first found out about the Google hangouts I was really excited about it and I introduced her to my students. It was working great they could do projects together after school they could meet each other and chat about some thing they could find out what the homework was things like that also I am it really works during the COVID-19 because they can’t get together and work next week on there but they can chat to each other on the Google hangouts. With all of that sad I am I also like to use it for my colleagues and to reach out real quick and touch base. But I guess I’ll put the negatives in the con box because I do have negatives.

Comments: i like this app, because it can use easily in any device like tablet, laptop, mobile etc. can share ideas to a target group, the host can decide who can join and can remove any participant at any time. Still I depend on this platform for conduct online meeting.

Pros:

This video conferencing platform is very easy to use, high-quality audio and video. We can easily schedule meeting using Google calendar and it does not need much skills. It facilitate real-time editing of documents and chat functionality during meetings. Can join meetings easily. Support multiple language.

Cons:

Free users are not able to record meetings. Require a high quality internet, otherwise we cant join the meeting. Only 100 participants allow to join. Customization is somewhat limited.
