It was not a nice-prepared demo, but a real application. As vision engineer I can confirm this case was very very hard to solve with normal vision tools. But ViDi did it is just 1 hour. Okay, the Cognex engineer was experienced with the interface, but the algorithms where not tuned. The output was.... well, again one word; WOW\! > > **Cons**: Maybe a technician may have the feeling that he is loosing control about the algorithms. On the other hand; if ViDi gets amazing better performance, why in the world would I have the need to relay on my own knowledge? We have been able to now set up the camera process independent of the production task as to not cause any scrap production parts because of a lighting issue > > **Cons**: The integration to production was completely set up wrong. The photo process should of been integrated separate from the production process. Cameras were set up to be way too sensitive for the process in which it was purchased to do.
