Customer Service can't be beat

4.0 3 years ago

Pros:

The customer service is fantastic. At the airport with flight delays, I can jump on a chat with a real person who will work to figure out alternatives. There have been some application quirks but hopping on with CS tended to fix the issues in short order. Our company also implemented "saving sharing" where the employee would get a cut of the savings - in the form of a gift card to Amazon or whatever - if they chose a travel option that was more economical then some threshold or average. This was a very popular feature.

Cons:

It didn't integrate well with Frequent Flyer status and sometimes failed to show options that were allowed under travel policy. For example, status that allowed selection of premium economy for free would sometimes not work right, and you'd have to call after the booking to get it fixed. Additionally, even though policy allowed for upgrade to business in some cases, the application still fired off a "this is out of policy" warning. It also wasn't always the cheapest option - in a couple cases booking directly through the airline was actually most cost effective.

Not my first or second choice

2.0 3 months ago

Comments: I requested my employer to stop using Navan because it was not reliable in choosing the best pricing and the most efficient and reliable flights.

Pros:

I didn't like anything about the app, and only used it when mandated by my employer.

Cons:

Navan chose very inconvenient flight routes but most importantly, Navan did not always choose the best pricing. Combining layovers and unreliable carriers with higher prices than I could find on my own led me to ask my employer to skip the usage of Navan.

Phone no more

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: No longer need to book and expense my own travel - save money out of my own pocket.

Pros:

Being a road warrior (>125 miles with Delta a year) there is never a shortage of travel issues and problems, but Trip Actions quick customer service (chat function) is always there for you.

Cons:

- Please integrate the corporate discount rate with BonVoy, I continue to book my hotels outside the system to grab the best rate.

Trip Actions

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: TripActions has vastly exceeded all of my expectations. I was very concerned when we switched platforms recently, and I have been extremely pleased with the UI and experience.

Pros:

Tripactions is a very intuitive expense report and booking platform for travel. It has more capabilities than other platforms on the market and has the ability to generate reimbursements within 24 hours.

Cons:

Thus far, I haven't seen many cons to the product. The only hurdle can be that the trips have to be approved by a an approver prior to going to the booking page. That is more of an internal issue.

Best travel software I've used

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: A+

Pros:

Customer service is likely one of the best things TripActions has to offer. Whenever a flight gets delayed/cancelled or something is going on they always let me know before the airline even does. Plus it's great to get Amazon credit for booking within the company asks. Product is easy to use and never gives me headaches like Concur used to do.

Cons:

Nothing really comes to mind if I'm being honest.

SO easy to use! I love the 24/7 hour support and the help that the Trip Actions team provides for me. They make painful travel extremely painless. I have recommended TripActions to several of my friends. Also - the rewards are awesome!

Cons:

The colors, sometimes the vast number of options can be confusing... other than that - really nothing!

Ease of using the app. I also enjoy that you can book personal or professional trips.

As a user, I hate this app and this company.

3.0 2 years ago

Comments: I hate it. I hate everything about it and would dump these guys in a heartbeat if they weren't tied to my employer.

Pros:

Nothing here that I don't already have on Trip It and/or the airline app.

Cons:

Limited options, poor orientation from the company, flat out refusal to discuss benefit losses suffered by the frequent fliers who can no longer access their accounts with the big airlines.

Horrible Software, Makes You Wait HOURS for Even the Simplest Tasks, EVERYTHING IS OVERPRICED

1.0 3 years ago

Comments: Nightmare. DO NOT buy this product, it is horrible

Pros:

Nothing, overall horrible overpriced software.

Cons:

For every change, you need to wait HOURS so an agent can talk to you. If you need to change your flight, be prepared to wait 8 hours so an agent becomes available Also, EVERYTHING IS OVERPRICED. They charge your company 2x-3x the available price

Great for companies who have travel, but has some bugs

3.0 5 years ago

Comments: We don't have to spend as much time manually scheduling flights/bookings which is very helpful, but there have been a bunch of bugs that detracts from that experience.

Pros:

I like that it's very easy to send candidates a link where they can book their own hotels/flights. We can see everyone who has booked/hasn't booked and follow up with them. I no longer need to spend time booking those things for them, unless requested.

Cons:

There are definitely some bugs that have led to a poor candidate experience for us. For instance, sometimes requests for the candidate/guest to enter their personal CC information even when we have already specified that we are using the company card on file.

Thank you for your review of TripActions. It's great to hear you're able to offer candidates a fast and easy solution, but definitely a concern to hear you had billing issues. Please always feel free to contact TripActions customer service at 1-888-505-8747 or submit a support ticket directly from in our app. We want to make it right!

TripActions self-serve booking is a must

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

TripActions is the next best thing to having a travel planner for each employee. I've used it both as an admin and a user. I love being able to book for myself, customize the trip to my own schedule and know I am booking within the preset company policy.I am also able to book for the executives at my company, through the delegation feature, which is essential for executive assistants. Being able to store all of our travel info -- rewards accounts, KTN, etc -- in the same place is invaluable. For companies on the go, it is the best option.

Cons:

You won't have access to every available flight or hotel. That said, I've always found a wide selection of options included and never felt overly limited.

Customer Service and Amazon Cash out is shady

3.0 3 years ago

Comments: It is convenient but I would be interested for the IRS to take a look at their business practices

Pros:

It is not bad if you get a decent customer service rep. but it is like 1 out of 5

Cons:

Support is weak and will at times just tell you to do what you need to do instead of assisting. The Amazon rewards is a shady program that works but they don't offer verifications of cash out or receipt. They have a system that will clear out your balance and not indicate in any way that you got the money or provide any way of tracking. They pass it off as Amazon's issue but will not assist further

TripActions has made organising travel so much easier for me

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: TripActions has made organising my travel so much easier and allowed me to save the company money while doing so.

Pros:

TripActions makes it incredibly easy for me to book travel in the most cost effective way for the company. I love the incentives to save the company money, but it's actually the ease of use of TripActions that is the best part. I can get travel booked on my phone with a handful of taps.

Cons:

The only downside for me of TripActions is the fact that all travel is booked in US dollars, which results in foreign currency conversion charges on my credit card.

Fun way to book work travel

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: I really look forward to booking work travel on TripActions so I can try to earn Amazon dollars. It can just be tough to do so when traveling to the Bay Area because everything is so expensive.

Pros:

As an employee, I really like that I can earn Amazon gift cards for booking affordable travel options. And I’m sure my employer likes that more budget friendly options are incentivized.

Cons:

It can be kind of tough to search for hotels, if you’re looking for a specific place that you’ve already decided to stay.

Great options and service when something goes wrong

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Great solution for business related travel, but some options are a little too personal travel based and can create some clutter. Solution can be used for personal travel, but I tend to book personal trips directly with my preferred vendors to use points, miles, perks, etc. In some cases I can find hotel or car options outside of app not available in TripActions, still learning source of their availability.

Pros:

1) Incentives (employee kickback percentage) is awesome way to keep cost conscious but not force employees to pick the cheapest options. 2) Recognition of my status with vendors makes getting appropriate seats, room options, or discounts easy. 3) Information and views into flights, aircraft, amenities, and seat availability is convenient.

Cons:

Rarely book a pre-paid hotel or pulled options from priceline style sites where I can't cancel or earn status for my business travel. These options often clutter the listing or make for several filters to apply to narrow choices. Same applies to apartment style options, bed and breakfast, etc. that require more filtering. No way to limit choices in profile so they don't continue coming up.

TripActions - So easy to use

5.0 5 years ago

Pros:

- It is very easy to use for both business and personal trips. The search features for flights, hotels, and rental cars are very easy to use and manipulate. - It definitely finds the best pricing on all aspects of trips. I routinely find the pricing to be 10% cheaper than what I can find using other methods. - I like the reward option which allows you to reserve cheaper options and bank Amazon rewards. - I like that I can easily (one toggle) switch from business to personal trips.

Cons:

- So far, my only (very minor) compliant is that you cannot reserve Exit Row seating on an airline during your initial booking. You must call the airline after the reservation is made. Minor annoyance and most likely a requirement of the airline industry.

Great platform for booking travel

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

As a person who likes to save money, TripActions has a great features that allows the company to save money and the employee to earn amazon gift cards. While I enjoy a fancy hotel room as much as the next person, the chance to earn $$$ helped change my booking habits. And the company saves money as well so it's a win win. The site UI is clean and responsive, it's able to search through many listings quickly.

Cons:

Sometimes the search results would not include certain pricing, or the pricing was consistent with the hotel vendor but it did not allow for points. This is confusing, TripAction should at least provide pricing consistent with the hotel website.

TripActions makes booking travel a breeze

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: The customer support has been great and the agents on chat get things done quickly.

Pros:

TripActions is so much better than any travel booking software I've used before. When using other software I've often been frustrated that hotel rates were more expensive than I could find elsewhere, but TripActions often has better rates than I've found myself. Couple that with the reward system that rewards employees for saving the company money and it's a real win/win situation.

Cons:

Very little. It would be great if they had the option for billing in non-US currencies and I've had one issue where the flight I wanted wasn't available through the site, but other than that, it's been great.

Easy to Use with good customer services

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: I use TripActions mainly for my business trips. Overall good experience as the tool is easy and intuitive to use and make my trip planning organized. The customer support is very responsive and supportive. TripActions automatically adds my expenses to my reimbursement reporting.

Pros:

Easy to use,User Portal is clear and intuitive! TripActions can be integrated with my company 's expense system and make my reimbursement so much easier. Notifications are useful as reminders before the trip. Customer support has been helpful!

Cons:

Hotel and Flight prices seem to be higher than market price. Refundable hotels are higher price than non-refundable hotels, I wish they are all refundable options for safety and in case of unwanted emergency.

Comments: Fun and pleasurable. The gift card aspect creates a gamification experience that makes booking work travel fun... I honestly can't believe I just typed that, but its true!

Pros:

Cons:

No complaints--I have had only good experiences using tripactions

Streamlines bookings, with no real disadvantages vs booking direct

5.0 5 years ago

Pros:

I'm not particularly airline loyal, and Tripactions seems to provide all the same flights that are available in search engines like Kayak, at the same prices, and passes all of my traveler information back into the airlines booking systems. It's totally seamless, and prevents me from having to keep my info up to date in multiple airline websites. It's cut down significantly on the amount of time I have to spend booking flights for work. Their support has also been incredibly helpful in rebooking flights when I've needed it. They get things done quickly without any hassle.

Cons:

I've heard that folks with high status don't love it because they don't receive the same customer service they'd get if they were booking direct, but I haven't experienced that.

Trip Actions Review

4.0 5 years ago

Pros:

Trip Actions Customer Service is excellent. I use the chat, and the personal are extremely helpful.

Cons:

Frequently I find cheaper deals by going directly to the vendors
