Reviews of Looker

Google Looker, ideal both for experienced and new users
Comments: Overall, we are very happy with Looker and we will keep using it. However, improvements on speed & connectors are crucial in order to make the product even more useful.
Pros:
Social Media reporting is the primary reason for using Looker (ex-Data Studio). The numerous connections with the social media platforms and the ability to create reports in a fast, efficient & scalable way are the most important benefits of the platform.
Cons:
Although our experienced team members are able to create Looker reports from scratch, the newest members need numerous training sessions to understand how the platform works and how they can use it to create custom reports. Also, the fact that data connectors often fail, creates an additional burden for everyone involved, from team members to end clients.
Alternatives Considered:
Looker's by far the easiest to use visualization tool out there
Comments: Looker's been a treat to use for our business. It's so easy to use, but at the same time you can maek very professional looking charts and dashboards with it. We use both for our internal things and for showing our clients our data. It's also pretty reasonably priced and easy to set up. All in all, can't complain, it's definitely been useful for us.
Pros:
I love how easy it is to chart data based on data you already have in your Excel or Sheets. So, basically, you can design charts and dashboards like you'd do if you were doing it on Sheets, but they look much much better and can take data from multiple sources at the same time. So the ease of use is probably my favorite aspect of Looker.
Cons:
The charts tend to be a bit too prone to crashing in my opinion. We regularly have to make tweaks that've caused one of the charts to stop working. Not a huge headache but it would be good to have autofix recommendations for easy to spot fixes
Looker Review
Pros:
Very powerful tool on the backend side with a great semantic layer which allows you you easily navigate through data and make explores.
Cons:
Lack of dashboard customization options makes the look stiff and takes away from a user experience that could have been.
