Obervium Review

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Overall, I have had a very good experience using Observium as a tool and would definitely recommend it to my colleagues.

Pros:

We use this for network management. It helps us infer route conflicts and power consumption. It is a great tool to visualize distributed network.

Cons:

More customization for dashboards would be really good to have. Some more documentation would help with the learning curve for beginners.

5.0 7 years ago

Comments: Gave me a very good overview of my network and my devices

Pros:

Very good overall monitoring solution for any kind of SNMP-able network device. Fast and simple to setup and get going. The user interface is easy to understand and presents just the right amount of information without getting messy.

Cons:

Not yet very good support for custom graphs and polling of devices that is not supported out of the box.

wonderful tool with loads of features, but some more stuff could be cool

4.0 7 years ago

Pros:

versatility is the strongest feat of this software. It can do a lot, with a lot of equipment, and does it good.

Cons:

Scalability. The solution is scalable, up to a point. Right now, with 75000+ ports and 1200+ devices, the hardware is barely managing it's 5 minutes poll cycles.
