Easy, efficient and without surprises

5.0 last year

Comments: The registration tool was very efficient and I was able to create custom registration forms and collect all the necessary information from my participants in a clear and organized way. Additionally, the checkout process was simple and secure, making it easy for attendees to complete their registration.

Pros:

It exceeded my expectations in every way. What I liked the most about this platform is how easy and efficient it is to manage my events. From the moment I checked in, everything was very smooth and hassle-free.

Cons:

Even though the platform offers a lot of features, I felt it was missing a bit more flexibility in terms of customization. I would have liked to be able to further customize the registration forms and add a few extra fields based on some of my specific needs.

Pros:

Online registration and payment processing; event website all in one.

Cons:

We have some users that do struggle with registration but some of that is due to not reading the instructions thoroughly.

Alternatives Considered: Cvent Event Management

Reasons for Switching to Eventsquid: Pricing - did not need all the bells and whistle and associated costs.

It does what you need to do without the fluff

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Overall my experience has been great. I was able to accomplish what I wanted through the use of it and hope to be able to continue to do so.

Pros:

What this platform is at it's core is that it get's you just what you need. Building the event for the second time went much easier than the first as you learn a lot and then can use more of it's functionality that you didn't know about. As I am about to go into my third event using Eventsquid, I will be using the in person check in that we haven't used and I am looking forward to seeing another feature at work. The support for issues was good and stuck with you until the issue was resolved.

Cons:

Sometime the nuts and bolts aspect wasn't what we needed. If we could have customized the look of the website/phone view we would have done so. Sometime it took the help desk took a few times to get them to understand exactly what has going on and what we needed. The first day we launched registration the website went down. Unfortunately, that did show a vote of confidence in the program to my Executives which I have had to reassure that it was probably a one time deal. I could have used some extra training time after the first 6 months. It would be great to do a quick touch base with how things are going and the issues that we were having. Even 1-2 hours would be incredibly helpful without having to pay the additional money.

All in One Solution

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: We have had a great experience with EventSquid. We have recommended the platform to our sister regions who now use it and to others that put on events.

Pros:

Creating a simple event structure is very easy. I enjoy the fact that I do not have to pay ala carte for features and this platform is an all in one solution.

Cons:

There is a bit of a learning curve in the beginning and multifaceted events don't always work perfectly. It also does not integrate with other services like ExpoBadge.

Alternatives Considered: Cvent Event Management

Reasons for Choosing Eventsquid: The treatment by EventSquid [sensitive content hidden] and his staff is top notch. It made us feel like we were important to them and not just another contract.

Eventsquid makes it personal!

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Our organization was planning to host an event of 2,000+ attendees, and we knew we had to have a registration and management software that could keep up with our demands, especially since our event is incredibly complex. After comparing and contrasting many options, we did decide to take the plunge with Eventsquid. Its offerings, ease of use, price point, and support staff really stood out when making the final choice. In fact, the staff and leadership of the company really made the difference, compered to the other companies and options. They were patient and understanding, and always ready to help and assist us with any questions or concerns we had. You aren't just another client or just a number with Eventsquid, they make it personal from the start and for us, that made all the difference!

Cons:

The reporting and statistics portion of the software left a bit to be desired. A lot of information is certainly available, but customizing the reports and nailing down specific data was difficult and sometimes simply not possible, due to the limitations of the software in categorizing the stats and figures. Also, when searching for specific attendees that have registered, to make edits or gather information, the search criteria has to be entered exactly as is was entered by the attendee originally. This makes searching for some attendees not very user friendly.

Alternatives Considered: Brushfire and Cvent Event Management

Reasons for Choosing Eventsquid: Due to the size and complexity of our largest event, we found we needed a more robust registration and event management software. Eventsquid checked the boxes for us!

Eventsuid is still rocking it!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Overall, we love Eventsquid! The price is fair and we are looking forward to renewal!

Pros:

Integration was easy, the team at Eventsquid is very responsive to questions. Over the last year, we have learned several features that we didn't know the software was capable of and we plan on renewing for another year with them.

Cons:

Nothing about Eventsquid is difficult. However, the exhibit booth layout section can get confusing if you don't know what you're doing. The E.S. team is always available for us to ask questions & get ideas on the best way to use certain features.

Alternatives Considered: Cvent Event Management, Eventbrite and EventUp Planner

Reasons for Choosing Eventsquid: Cvent was very difficult to use and expensive - pay by the registrant in addition to annual fees.

Switched From: Cvent Event Management

Reasons for Switching to Eventsquid: We wanted a platform that didn't require us to pay by the registrant and didn't charge a percentage of the registration fees we collect.

We just finished our first year and signed up for year 2!

5.0 last year

Comments: We processed over 1500 registrations with very little complaints and system issues.

Pros:

The easily customizable forms, ability to quickly contact registrants, payment processing, dashboards, reports, and pricing are all great features of Eventsquid

Cons:

I would like to be able to pull a report to look at a year's worth of data. We would like an opening for item, when selecting the type of event. We noticed that it doesn't appear that you can add sponsorships with an event.

Alternatives Considered: Webex Suite, WordPress and Eventbrite

Reasons for Choosing Eventsquid: We needed a system that was more user friendly that met our needs and had better reporting.

Eventsquid Works for Us!

5.0 last year

Comments: We selected Eventsquid during the pandemic to helps us manage a virtual suicide prevention training course that takes place over two half-days. It has done a great job integrating with Zoom so we can deliver this critical course in a safe, secure environment. The ability to customize the participant registration questions have been key in our ability to study the success of the training in providing critical tools for the people we serve. All interactions with Eventsquid have been professional and customer service-oriented.

Pros:

Eventsquid is a very robust product with a lot of features and their support has been quite responsive.

Cons:

We've always wished the calendar components integrated with Google calendar as we don't use Outlook. And we wish the registrant data were available across all of our events, instead of on an event basis. From that perspective, Eventsquid is much more of an event management system as opposed to a learning management system -- but we have made it work by combining event-specific exported reports to a whole picture view.

EventSquid Excellent Choice for Higher Ed

5.0 last year

Comments: We are extremely pleased with EventSquid and would highly recommend.

Pros:

This product is extremely easy to use and intitule. We have used the platform for 2 large conferences with multiple registration profiles. We loved the ability to make changes on the go as we encountered confusing questions.

Cons:

We had an issue with our institution not allowing us to use the payment features. we would have loved to have integrated those into our system. This was not an EventSquid issue.

Eventsquid Review

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: The people at Eventsquid are very easy to connect with and obtain assistance. The product itself is worth the investment for all of the available options it provides.

Pros:

Eventsquid provided the most features and options for the price than other companies we reviewed

Cons:

Learning the various features and options was a little more time-consuming than some that were turn-key. A more user-friendly version with an easier 'look' about it would improve functionality.

Alternatives Considered: Engagez, Cvent Event Management, Guidebook, Eventbrite, Sched and Eventleaf

Reasons for Switching to Eventsquid: It offered the most options for the variety of workshops and conferences our employees.

Great Product at Affordable Price

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: If you're looking for value and affordability then definitely look at EventSquid. It gives you options (i.e. mobile site and webpages for events) that would cost extra with other competitors. We solved the issue of needing a robust event management tool at an affordable price and realized that we got more than what we initially thought we wanted. However, there is room for improvement.

Pros:

I love the webpage that EventSquid automatically generates for each of my events/trainings. It's included with the price so I don't need to pay extra to achieve that professional look. The first event we ever used EventSquid, we had more out-of-state folks (and one person from another country) register than ever before! I believe part of the reason is because the website looks so much more professional (and legit) than it did with my previous event management site. Also, the mobile site is amazing and our attendees loved adding agenda items to their itinerary!

Cons:

Three main issues: 1) The Group Payment option is ONLY available for initial checkout, meaning an admin needs to enter 15+ people all at once in order to get to the final group payment page. However, if an admin needs to check-out & "pay later" so that they can get an invoice or await grant funding, then the next time the admin logs in, they will NOT be able to regroup all the invoices and pay with one credit card. That's when an admin will have to make 15+ separate payments (which locks out their card because it looks like duplicate charges), and the only way around it is for folks to call me to run a credit card over the phone on a separate payment portal, then I have to go into EventSquid and mark everyone off as paid. 2) The reporting function doesn't provide the most up-to-date balance due, which is a problem when I'm looking at 1,100 people to figure out who still owes money or run a report for our bookkeeper. Instead, I have to export everything into Excel and create a custom field and formula in order to figure who owes. 3) There are still bugs with the system. When I duplicate an event (and everything stays pretty much the same), I have to check everything over and make fake registrations because guaranteed I'll have to submit a support ticket to fix a random issue or link. Or, attendees will call me around heavy registration times (e.g. early bird deadline) and tell me that the website froze and kicked them out.

Truly Works Like 8 of YOU

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: This product saves prior settings and archives the previous event. I have an entire platform that has stored all the information from the last event. I can reference the settings and event to ensure all aspects of the next event sync!

Pros:

The easy of changing the agenda, time, presenter, and registration! This product decreased the amount of time to do all of these things for a huge event!

Cons:

The software does not work off of an app. When attendees sign in at the event they MUST be logged into the internet. This seems simple, but people think they are on Wifi when in fact they are on their own data plan. Next time, I will have written instructions that include the first step being "Go to your Settings - Select Wifi"

Great Support

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

I love the simplicity of building out the site, and the quick support we receive when we have questions.

Cons:

As a govt organization, lots of times we have security requests and work arounds that are needed to support our clients. We tend to have requests that are just not available within the system currently. Understanding that we are most likely the outlier in a lot of these situations!

Best Software I've Used Yet

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Our needs are usually difficult to fulfill due to the complexity of our registrations and the niche market our organization serves. We've run into systems with registration question caps that did not work for us, among other issues. This system helps us collect a lot of data on our attendees as well as displays the information in graph form to help our Sales team overcome the "no." This system is amazing! Quick and easy for our staff and admins to use, which is all we ever ask for!

Pros:

From the smooth look and feel on the front end, to the numerous (but not overwhelming) admin customizations, this system has everything covered. Every feature seems to be carefully planned and executed to function the best way possible and the customer service is that of a small business.

Cons:

Sometimes updates are made and buttons/sections are moved or features are condensed into other areas. Even with the update notes that describe the changes and lists where features are moved, it slows you down a bit after learning and getting comfortable with the UI.

Outstanding Event Software and Customer Service

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Customer service is top notch from the Sr. level down and everyone on their team was very responsive. Training was thorough and timely. Quick turnaround time with questions. Renewal process was very easy. Happy to see that they are enhancing their systems to meet the current trends and needs of their customers. We definitely made the right choice in selecting Eventsquid.

Pros:

The software is user friendly, easy to set-up, it covers everything you need and more. The reporting capability is very comprehensive and detailed.

Cons:

There is learning curve to setting up your event, but once you understand it, it flows very easily.

Finally...a company that gets it!

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: This software will allow us to consolidate many of our current systems over the next few years. It will also give a more professional and simple way for our exhibitors to register/sign up for booths which will free up significant time for our staff.

Pros:

My favorite part of this software is its simplicity. It does everything you need it to in the most straightforward way possible. And it's done in an attractive, user-friendly way to boot! We have a very complicated event and software such as Cvent, Event Brite, AtoZ, and even a custom made database struggled, or were unable, to provide solutions for us in various parts of our event but Event Squid seems to be a good option for the ENTIRE event. The staff is amazing and they are at the perfect level of being helpful but not pushy. They seem truly interested in our event and growing a relationship with us. They know they have a good product that speaks for itself so the demo and sales process is very pleasant. Also, the price for this product is unbelievable. I've looked into dozens of software solutions over the years and this one is BY FAR the best for your money.

Cons:

Currently, the only con we've faced is that you cannot search for Exhibitors in the web version of the exhibit hall map. However, they are working on a solution for us since they have this capability in the mobile app. I don't expect this to be a con for long.

Pros:

Learning the Ins and Outs of Eventsquid

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: Our finance department has a much easier time with Eventsquid than other platforms, especially for tracking payments.

Pros:

Our team has been using Eventsquid now for over one year. We really like the ease of use and the report system. As with any new system, we have had a learning curve, but the customer service with Eventsquid has been prompt and the corrections were easy. Our big conference serves approximately 400 participants with three breakout sessions containing seven workshops each, and the system handled the set-up without issues!

Cons:

Our learning curve is my least favorite part. We learned a lot from our conference last month.

Eventsquid User Friendly Software

Comments: Overall the experience with Eventsquid was positive and the software was very easy to learn and use.

Pros:

I enjoyed the ease of use and customer support/ ability to add functions specifically requested for our organization

Cons:

Happier Atteedees

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: The use of Eventsquid reduced our workload of responding to attendee questions by at least 80%.

Pros:

Our 800 attendees expressed their great delight in the ease of using Eventsquid to sign up for our annual training events. Attendes appreciated the on site features like access to their agenda and site maps during the event. Pre-registration and on site registration for our event team was exponentially improved from our former in house web site platform.

Cons:

Fairly steep learning curve to get started. A few administrator tools need more development.

Customizable, Structured, Logical, and Intuitive!

5.0 6 years ago

Pros:

The customizable nature of EventSquid makes it an adaptable platform that can be used for almost any nature of event. As a non-profit event planner, I need a platform that works well for social events, trainings, conferences, and free events, and EventSquid registration forms can be tailored to fit the needs for a broad range of events.

Cons:

Currently, the Communication Center does not have the types of design features that I would prefer in an event email, so I have continued to use the Mailchimp platform for event communications. The Communication Center does however have enough customization to send a utilitarian event email, and will do the job.

Best event management software and GREAT price!

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: EventSquid helped bring our Conference management and website appearance into the current times! Our old site looked old and outdated and did not have the agenda and room management options. Or the "click n buy" space options. So much easier to manage, set up and deal with from beginning to end.

Pros:

The ease of setting up the event - from registration to speakers to sponsors/exhibitors to page appearance. The App is included in the price and is a great addition for our attendees. The customer service and technical support is STELLAR!

Cons:

Wish it had onsite badge printing option available.

Great overall experience!

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: EXCELLENT! I highly recommend the Eventsquid platform and know that the white glove experience we received from their staff will be felt with any client they work with.

Pros:

Our company offering a cloud-native solution ourselves we found the Eventsquid platform to intuitive and easy to set up and manage events of all sizes. We came with an urgent need to have something stood up and an event created and ready for registrations within a week, and their staff really delivered!!! Not only did the application get set up, but their staff ensured we had everything needed to make the event a success, followed up with us before, during, and after the event to provide assistance. What a great company!

Cons:

None. After our first event, we did have some enhancement suggestions and their staff eagerly listened and provided feedback to us on their plans moving forward.
