D365 transformed our UK non-profit.

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: Dynamics 365 has transformed our organisation. We've moved from an on-prem system with around 20 users, to over 75 using a solution for a number of online cloud based applications.
You need to work at it, but when you do, there's real value.

Pros:

As a non-profit, we find the flexibility to develop a number of different applications and processes to manage multiple revenue streams, track donor, supporter and customer data, giving us a genuine 360 view of those we engage with.

Cons:

The capability that allows us to adapt and develop solutions, brings with it a complexity that needs a lot of configuration and development. We needed Microsoft partners to get us to where we needed to be.

Comments: My experience is amazing as this help integrate data and manage collaboration with team members.

Dynamics 365 needs a lot of updates!

3.0 10 months ago

Comments: Overall experience has been poor. Everytime they update the software it seems they do not consult their customers and the changes are major and you have to learn how to use entire sections again with no warning, and they don't make changes that help the customer. Bank recs used to take me 2-3 hours and after the last update it now takes me 8-12 hours. Not Good.

Pros:

I don't like much about Dynamics 365. None that I can think of.

Cons:

Very antiquated bank reconciliations and reporting. It is also very difficult to make corrections, not user-friendly at all. Every action takes at least 5 times longer with this software than with other software. This includes simply printing anything at all. When they make updates they don't ask the customers what improvements they would like that would help them.

The Ever Improving Dynamics

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: I have found through the years my experience to be very positive. If I have ever had any issues the Microsoft customer support have always been quick and mostly good. The improvements to the settings and configuration have been really good, and the whole cloud system is so much quicker than it used to be.

Pros:

Dynamics 365 has improved so much over the past 6 years I have been using it for NFP clients. The integrations with other products is getting better and the natural integrations with Microsoft products is fantastic. The whole Power Platform is really good now and Microsoft are constanting making things better and easier to use and configure. I love the low/no code as I am not a programmer but I have studied and learnt enough to be good at configuring Dynamics for my clients.

Cons:

The licensing and the fact they stopped the not for profit grants for 5 free licenses. It is still reasonably priced, but for a NFP every cent counts.

One stop shop!

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall, I would recommend this software to anyone! It’s easy to use, has all the necessary features, and is really a one stop shop!

Pros:

Easy to access from all devices. Many different organization features, especially for outlook.

Cons:

Have to re-log in numerous times, especially with double authentication. This may be just for educational Microsoft accounts.

More robust and feature-rich than competition

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Overall we had a fairly easy journey to implement it and so far it has met all of our expectations.

Pros:

Of all the CRM products out there that are SaaS delivered, we found Dynamics to be the most robust and feature-rich. We tested it against similar competitors such as Salesforce, and Dynamics simply did better on many fronts. Not to mention Dynamics is reasonably priced compared to competition. The best part of MS Dynamics was its native integration with many other MS products such as DB Warehouse, Copilot, Azure products, etc.

Cons:

There wasn't much downside to it. Perhaps its UI can be more intuitive in certain areas.

Dynamic 365 Review

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: Dynamics 365 is a powerful tool that’s helped us streamline operations and improve customer relationships

Pros:

The integration with Microsoft products is seamless, and it’s super customizable

Cons:

Setting it up can be time-consuming, and the licensing and customization costs are quite high, which might not suit every budget.

Excellent, comfortable, quick, safe, and reliable

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: my overall experience using Dynamics 365 was amazing, it is nice software, easy to use. The UI is also good, net and clean. It's very easy to navigate and if you need help, the help box is right there. If you need live help, you can always contact a rep to help.

Pros:

Microsoft offers an excellent programme called Dynamics 365 to help you manage your business. Being a member of Microsoft is really beneficial since it gets more integrated with other MS Office applications

Cons:

When they have to wait for a live representative, some consumers become disinterested in the product; worse, it's their only choice. I didn't prioritise this because I don't fit the description.

D365 - a viable Legacy ERP replacement

4.0 10 months ago

Comments: Once we got past the cutover pains (about 6 months) it has gotten easier to live with. I can also see why at an executive level, they made the decision to go with this solution. When compared to products like SAP and Oracle I think you will be far happier with your investment in D365 (buy with confidence).

Pros:

Flexibility - It does take some custom coding, but it is a based product that you can tailor to meet all of your ERP related needs

Cons:

The server based technology has bandwidth issues constantly (make sure you scale your system properly). Expect your IT staff to grow significantly if you are coming from an AS400 based environment. Requires isolation of support work (in an AS400 environment you can have generalist who do everything -- that will change drastically in this environment.

Leading SME ERP S/W in the marketplace

4.0 last year

Comments: Reluctant to upgrade as the costs are almost as much as a new implementation, however, as new functionalities are introduced, the reduction of 3P add-ons or bridges are becoming a +.

Pros:

Integration of functions into Windows & Office are a +...many API's are now capable of integrating w/ online platforms from freight, logistics, & expenses to Shopify, Magento, & AMZN.

Cons:

Cost of maintenance is high for smaller businesses seeking upgrades from QB or Sage. Support from MS is minimal & requires VAR to ensure proper uptime.

5.0 7 months ago

The platform's robust features, seamless integration with other Microsoft tools, and powerful analytics capabilities enhance productivity and decision-making. However, the complex licensing structure and occasional customization challenges can be a drawback for some businesses.

Cons:

The least appealing aspect of Dynamics 365 is its complex licensing structure, which can be confusing and expensive, making it challenging for businesses to choose the right plan and manage costs effectively

A powerful tool that is a necessity in many cases for a CRM product

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: A powerful tool that is a necessity in many cases for a CRM product. Once the user gets more familiar with the product, then the similar layout on different pages make sit easier for the user to navigate in different

Pros:

Ultra high customizability when teamed up with a development partner team. With the possibility to modify standard functionality, Dynamics 365 can be morphed into a million different products for specific business needs. A lot of functionality can be used out-of-the-box.

Cons:

High customizability regrettably also means that design, development, implementation and testing take a huge amount of time. Additionally, bugs are frequent, and seem to appear and disappear in sync with Microsoft updates. Rather expensive.
