Reviews of Diligent Boards

Easy & secure
Comments: Overall, a secure place to keep all of our Board data in one place. Easy gif new Board members to review old materials for onboarding.
Pros:
It’s a safe pls e yo organize our documents.
Cons:
If not configured correctly with the right “books” it can be hard to find materials. I hate that our administrator has it looked down to not print. Hard for 10ks and 10Qs
A Safe Old School Platform
Comments: Generally good - it's certainly up there as one of the preferred platforms used by our clients and our internal team. However I do feel they need to seriously compare their offering to others now available on the market to make sure they don't fall behind.
Pros:
A few years ago, Diligent was certainly the preferred provider. Although since the move of all historic Diligent-owned platforms (Board Effect etc) it feels as though there hasn't been a lot of investment in developing the platform to make sure it keeps up with peers.
Cons:
Compared to other current platforms, it's quite clunky, especially building packs and navigating through them in meetings. The pricing structure also doesn't work for a number of our clients who are now looking to other platforms who provide different fee formats.
Excellent product for Board books
Comments: Have been extremely happy as a client of Diligent for over 15 years.
Pros:
User friendly admin experience and love the search feature.
Cons:
Losing user notes when having to replace a document.
Dashboards are good
Comments: Not very user friendly, should be easier to navagate.
Pros:
Dashboards are customized, everything is right there.
Cons:
Customizing the dashboard is extremely difficult.

Reasons for Switching to Diligent Boards: My [sensitive content hidden] felt it was more in line with what larger companies use.
Diligent Review - RNC
Pros:
Most important is the fact that Diligent Boards is a secured platform that shares the information between the whole board avoiding diferences on the amount of information to each member of the board.
Cons:
During the implementation phase, some members of the board were already had their e-mails registered in the platform. So, to link the same e-mail in different organisations, Diligent required the user approval and that the user informed the organisations which he/she had the e-mail registered. As this information is pointless for the person that is implementing the platform (me) and for confidentiality matters this same person should never had the information, I understand Diligent should check this information by itself or exclude this requirement, keeping only the user's formal approval for linking the e-mails.
Alternatives Considered: Atlas Governance
Reasons for Switching to Diligent Boards: Company's shareholders already used Diligent.
