My Favorite EHR

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Incredible! Such great customer service and an amazing product.

Pros:

This EHR is so affordable for a group practice compared to others that I've used. The customization is incredible as well. While the front-end work is a lot, it is so worth it to set up your systems well.

Cons:

I wish there was slightly more of an ability to customize insurance billing information.

Comments: My overall experience with IntakeQ has been positive. It’s a reliable and user-friendly platform that has significantly streamlined our patient intake process. The ability to customize forms, send them digitally, and gather responses quickly has saved us time and improved patient satisfaction. However, the lack of full integration with our EHR has created a bit of extra manual work, especially when updating demographic information. Despite that, IntakeQ has been a valuable tool for enhancing our practice’s efficiency, and I would recommend it to others looking for a solid intake solution.

Pros:

What I liked most about IntakeQ is how incredibly easy it is to use. The interface is intuitive. Navigating through the forms, customizing questionnaires, and managing appointments has been a breeze. It's saved us so much time and reduced administrative hassles significantly. I highly recommend it for any practice looking for a user-friendly solution to streamline patient intake and improve workflow efficiency! the cost of the service is reasonable.

Cons:

The thing I liked least about IntakeQ is that it isn't fully integrated with our EHR. While it handles intake forms well by uploading them into the EHR, it lacks the capability to automatically update the demographic information in our EHR based on the results of the forms. Another company we know has this feature, which would make the workflow much more seamless and efficient if IntakeQ could offer similar functionality. This integration gap means we still have to manually enter some data, which takes extra time and effort.

Hi Aleya! Thank you for such a thorough and well rounded review. We really appreciate it! Your feedback is very much appreciate and I will provide the feedback you shared with our team. We're grateful for your continued patronage! While it may not be the exact solution you're looking for, we do offer an open API since there are so many EHRs with different variables. This allows for custom integrations if that is of interest to you! -J

ABA therapy practice use

Comments: I love it and recommend it. But there is a lot of room for improvement.

Pros:

The ease of sending out an intake form and the creation of a client profile.

Cons:

The lack of automations and the ability to share a document to sign as a docusign. I would like a parent portal.

Comments: IntakeQ has been so beneficial to our team and patients! We love how easy it is to fill out paperwork for our patients and the team can easily manage several forms and be organized. It really allows our office to be efficient, professional, and responsive to our patients

Pros:

The ease of sending customized forms to patients and monitoring if they have been received and completed

Cons:

The only thing I can think of that I like the least is the occasional formatting difficulties when creating a new form. It takes some practice but luckily the support videos and support team have been very helpful!

Small practice - lots of forms

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: It works just how I'd want it to an fills the need we have for user friendly online forms, and even better it saves paper!

Pros:

The form creation is very easy to use and straightforward. Sometimes I have to try a few times to get the boxes how I want them, but it is not too difficult.

Cons:

Nothing that I can really think of. There might be some additional fields I would like, but overall it works how I would like!

Intake Review

Pros:

Ease of use and templates available to be used/modified easily

Cons:

It allows multiple forms to be created for the same patient and there is no easy way for the patient to come back and finish their unfinished forms. The system does not recognize the returning users and let them start duplicate forms.

Enjoying IntakeQ

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: We switched from Practice Better (PB) to IntakeQ in July 2022 and it's saved me on average 8 hours a week just in insurance billing alone. PB does not have an integrated clearinghouse, which meant manually tracking claims via a Google Sheet for every clinician and every client. With IntakeQ, all it takes is 3 button clicks and the claim is submitted, and the integrated clearinghouse options automatically update status and communicate this back to IntakeQ. Such a lifesaver!Note functionality is also much better than PB. Namely I disliked how PB would display every single checkbox and row in a chart even if they were not selected or answered. It made notes extremely long, cluttered, and virtually impossible to read. IntakeQ is customizable to where you can choose to show unselected/unanswered questions or not. There's also loads of options with conditional formatting and the ability to automate a task based on the answer received. The IntakeQ team is highly responsive and they work hard to implement feature requests that are strongly supported by the community. So far we are very pleased!

Pros:

Highly customizable forms and features with task automation and pinned notes. They are also very active in their Facebook support group and highly value the feedback they receive from their customers.

Cons:

Limited ability to transfer/upload patient records from another system (when transitioning the practice over to IntakeQ); no document library; inability to fax more than 1 document from a patient record at a time; no meds list or allergies function yet.

Alternatives Considered: SimplePractice and Kalix

Reasons for Choosing IntakeQ: Lack of an integrated clearinghouse in Practice Better in addition to the high costs and poor note template customization.

Switched From: Practice Better

Reasons for Switching to IntakeQ: Features and price

Perfect for small practice

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Overall perfect for providers with their own cash pay practice and especially those focused on wellness. Because everything has to be created (ie no pre-installed icd codes , you have to put them in manually) this may not be best for physician in regular practice.I hope they increase a few features without making it complicated

Pros:

I should first emphasize I am a solo practitioner , with focus on wellness and limited services. I wanted a program that allows online patient scheduling, visit notes , pay via credit card and some billing of insurance and Hippa communication. Most programs that offer this have excessive features and design for practices with front desk and support staff instead of the practitioner. IntakeQ offered all I needed but simpler format that largely builds on creating own forms and rules. The set up guide and using help feature explains everything you can think of. The plus was it allows sharing of documents and creating journals for patients to complete, which was something I was struggling with, seeing patients via telehealth. The visit notes can take a while to perfect because it doesn’t feature templates physicians would use, but I am still playing with it to create the perfect template. They created a snippet feature which allows you to create text you would re -use , ie lung exam . You can also duplicate previous note and just adjust what is new. Some other programs look more esthetic but have poor execution of needed features. Intake Q doesn’t look grand, but it thought of everything you need. Works exactly the same on the phone without having to download an app. I’ve tried at least 5 other programs, this was the most intuitive

Cons:

Patient portal and emails could be more simple . Sometimes patient get up to 3 emails for steps related to appointment. Patient should be able to complete consent and intake while making appointment instead of after . Wish you could pull journal and intake entries in to visit or SOAP note. I would like them to add features that may be more helpful for advanced practitioners such as labs , or pictures into note . I have submitted claim yet , so not sure how smooth that is.

Alternatives Considered: Jane

Reasons for Choosing IntakeQ: Features of other apps looked great but needed easy online patient scheduling that integrates with my website .

Switched From: SimplePractice, CharmHealth and vcita

Reasons for Switching to IntakeQ: Still considering both

Best Practice Management!

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: I have tried other top brands trial and I'm sticking with IntakeQ. It's easy to use, reliable and efficient.

Pros:

IntakeQ has everything a clinician needs and for every budget. I don't one one complaint about their services. Whenever I have questions their customer support is impeccable. Most of the time in less than 24 hours I received the support I need. It has so many features and is less expensive than other known brands.

Cons:

This software it's as close to perfect. I wish it would have note entries to select but for the affordable price and the several features it offers, I'm happy with intakeq.

Alternatives Considered: SimplePractice

Reasons for Switching to IntakeQ: Less expensive. It has more features. Impeccable customer service.

A great investment for practice management

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: In the past two years as a user of IntakeQ, they are constantly improving their product. They listen to and strive to meet their customer's needs.

Pros:

The responsiveness of IntakeQ's staff when you send an email is fast - usually within a few hours during normal business hours. The client portal is exceptional with the client's ability to self-schedule, view and pay invoices, change credit cards, submit forms and journals, and message the provider. The forms creator, booking module, and billing module are easy to use once you learn the system.

Cons:

The task manager can create automatic tasks, but they do not automatically disappear off the task list when completed. There is a learning curve to setting up IntakeQ to meet your specific needs, but that is too be expected when the system is so customizable.

Still in free trial but struggling to commit because of one critical missing feature

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: I want to join IQ because of the robust nature of the platform and the support they offer, but there is one feature missing that is non-negotiable for me given the client populations I work with.

Pros:

The customization and automation are both robust in this platform. There are multiple question types when creating new forms/templates. Almost every aspect of the platform is customizable to your needs and business. The support/help part of the website is also super helpful, and the facebook group is great for finding answers to questions that may be time-sensitive usually.

Cons:

According to the facebook group for IntakeQ (this doesn't include any private requests for this), over 15 clinicians have requested the feature to be added where two people can have separate and independent access to the client portal of a client. For example, a minor client with separated/divorced parents who are high conflict -- this is the only feature preventing me from committing. I don't want to go back to another "simple" EHR but it seems to be one of the only platforms that offers this. It's pretty much the only feature missing from IQ.

Clean and simply designed intake and patient management platform

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: Using intakeQ as a patient interaction, eICF, and eCRF/ePRO platform for clinical trials. For simple trials with simple follow-ups that the coordinators don't mind setting up, this is an extremely budget-friendly way to obtain eICFs and some ePROs (less than a hundred dollars vs minimum $5k for HIPAA-compliant SurveyMonkey). You can configure roles to control access and security

Pros:

Extremely affordable and extremely fast customer service while boasting HIPAA compliance, eSignatures, recurring forms and appointments, automated follow-up emails, and secure patient platform. Sending and re-sending forms is easy.

Cons:

Cannot choose which variables to show as columns under Client list. Cannot calculate average scores from multiple questions. Cannot cause a notice to send to the site coordinators or doctors if a certain response is recorded. Cannot set up forms in a set schedule so that one form is sent after another at a certain time and then view this schedule (but that is fine as this was not designed for this). Lack of version control of forms.

lntakeQ

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: I really like IntakeQ and I love being able to have organized information of my clients. It saves time by sending completed forms right to their file.

Pros:

Working in the Mental Health field, we need software that is HIPAA compliant, but also reasonable in price. IntakeQ offers both!!! It also has a sleek design that looks professional. Auto-save is also a life saver. I have had several notes lost due to internet cutting out. Notes take a while and not having to redo them makes life so much easier. Customer service is friendly and always there to help whenever things may go wrong.

Cons:

One thing I would like is that if you click on a Client's name, then it would take you to their home page. An app would also be beneficial since the forms don't convert well to phones.

Ease of non contact paperwork

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: I overall love the ease this has make paperwork. Not all patients like it, but we do.

Pros:

I love that we can send all forms needed to patients to fill out prior to the appointment. The ease of checkin is a huge importance to use. The non-contact is also helpful with recent events. Intake uploads these forms directly to the patient's chart.

Cons:

I would like the schedule to be synced from Rev to Intake. That way we wouldn't have to type in each individual patient.

Unparalleled Customer Service

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: My experience doesn't matter as much as my clients' experiences: they all love the intake and consent forms going right to their email, and they love the appointment reminders (text and email.) It really goes a long way to make my practice come across as professional.

Pros:

The software is intuitive and amazingly flexible. There are templates built-in for consent forms, assessments, and notes, but you also have the ability to customize each template to suit your practice's needs and create completely new templates. I use IntakeQ for everything: scheduling, billing/invoices, notes, diagnosis, Superbilling, appointment reminders, and secure communication with clients. The customer service department is ABSOLUTELY amazing to the point that I asked them "where can I leave you a review because you deserve recognition." I've had a few questions for them, and I've always got a response within an hour or two. I can't recommend this service enough. It runs my entire practice.

Cons:

Initially, I was a little hesitant about the idea of having to create my own forms, but the templates provided made it super easy to tweak them to suit my needs.

The BEST way to automate my busy practice!

5.0 8 years ago

Comments: WOW! The ease of use is crazy simple....and if you get stuck-- if you send an email to support, you WILL hear back from a rep within the day, and I mean if you send it at 7pm you will get an email back at 8pm. yep even after hours. I secretly want to hire their staff because their customer service is top notch. But not only is the staff amazing, the product is THE BEST solution for my functional medicine practice. HIPAA compliant. Getting started with them-- they were able to convert my current forms into digital questions for a mere $9 or something like that. I would've wasted HOURS trying to figure that out. If you are considering intakeQ, look no further. I would do a video testimony for them because I have been so impressed. (and no I don't work for them)

Pros:

-Ease of Use -Ability to fit within my digital practice -Staff -Staff always coming up with solutions to my questions

Cons:

-Wish there was a feature to have clients put things in chronological order like some other Functional Medicine Software companies.
