Since initial implementation in 2001, we have expanded use from basic time computation and tracking of offenders to biometric verification of staff and inmate visitors; certified EHR; electronic documentation of incidents at each facility, Internal Affairs investigations including PREA related incidents; Inmate banking and canteen; KIOSKs for inmates to view some of their inmate file information, health service requests, transfer funds to inmate phone account from checking accounts, place canteen orders. Software is fairly user friendly and processes are self-explanatory. Workflows can be established in the menu based on staff work functions. Reference option allows you to include specific "how to instructions" through print and video. Software can be interfaced with outside sources for expansion of functionality (biometric verification, GIS, ASCL-DNA results, ACIC-criminal history, etc). It allows us to track offenders through incarceration, supervision and discharge across the state. > > **Cons**: Some sections could be streamlined to require fewer "clicks" to complete data entry add/update process. Programmed reports when ordered in excel format instead of pdf contain page breaks instead of true excel format that is sortable by user. Training material contained in reference tab contains programmer language and may be difficult for non-technical staff to understand. Some browse sections do not have the ability to sort by data field headings or the ability to retrieve/view the information by all rows instead they are limited to twenty entries per page.
