Nutshell has transformed our lead management

Pros:

Our primary goal was to have a high-functioning CRM that supported lead nurturing and helped us close sales. Nutshell does that exceptionally well, but that is just the starting point. Automating tasks and communication through multiple sales pipelines is easy and intuitive. We are already seeing results from the automation. Tracking our current clients for upsells and renewals is also intuitive and easy. Our next step is to use the marketing potential of the platform to increase our lead generation as well. The implementation went very smoothly, support from Nutshell staff was great, and I was up and running with Nutshell in days, and now I can track leads, make calls, and send emails and never have to leave the platform. It has greatly increase my efficiency.

Cons:

Not sure how to answer the cons. There are a few areas where I would like to customize fields, or change their location, but it is a small complaint

Nutshell is budget friendly and helpful

Comments: It is not exactly what I thought I was signing up for but overall it is serving its purpose.

Pros:

Nutshell is an all in one place database that can be used for planning and building connections with people.

Cons:

There are some steps that are not as user-friendly, such as capturing and pulling detailed data, and imports are a bit tricky. There is a white glove service to help you if needed.

Nutshell at a glance

Comments: Overall it is a minimal way to organize clients and priorities. I would prefer that the software handle more of my work such as Quotation, Commercial invoicing, some Accounting, Payment tracking, Request payment reminders for partial payments. Pros:

Customer information storage, Lead priority organization. I like that I can get on any computer when out of the office and the screen looks exactly as at my desk.

Cons:

Slow recall for data, Search feature often does not find client easily. I feel that the system was never set up properly by our team. I am certain that we are nut using the best of the software's capability.

My thoughts on Nutshell - I LOVE it!

Comments: Extremely good. I have tried almost every CRM on the market, including Salesforce and their $50K annual Pardot (marketing add-on) tool. Nutshell gives me the exact tools I need (and the ability to modify) for my business model. Others were simply too rigid.

Pros:

One of the first things that I want to see in a great CRM platform is excellent, and timely customer service. The nutshell team delivers that in spades.

Cons:

Some of the "lookup" tools do not get me where I need to go. It might be user error or not knowing how to use the available tools, but I sometimes have to give up on getting the data segment I need.

Pros:

What I like most about Nutshell is the ease of use and transparency. The dashboard is a great tool. You can create it to fit your professional lifestyle. I believe in customer service as the backbone to any company and Nutshell has great customer service. Their reps are there to help you whenever needed. You are never left out to dry.

Cons:

What I like least about Nutshell is the sorting ability within the dashboard for activities. I wish there was a detailed way to sort your activities within the dashboard.

Pros:

I like the contact forms and how I can embed different versions on each page of my site. It helps me pre-qualify and understand the needs of the customer who contacted me.

I would prefer a better UI. Some clicks are unintuitive and features aren’t well described or located.

Nutshell is just what we were looking for!

Comments: Nutshell has been so much easier to integrate than other sales/crm platforms I’ve used in the past. The team at Nutshell are friendly, knowledgeable, and responsive whenever our team has had questions. It’s a great value!

Pros:

It has a great interface, is very user friendly, and the price is right.

Cons:

It lacks some functionality with forms, drip campaigns, and merge tags and is not as customizable for exactly what I need, so I’ve had to use some workarounds.

Pros:

Good reference tool for your customers. It keeps track of all your correspondence with each entered customer.

Easy, Convenient but Some Paint Points

Pros:

I like that Nutshell is straightforward to build. As an admin, it's easy to set up the pipelines, add users, and the interface is easy to follow. Some of its capabilities are very helpful, such as tasks/automatic tasks, automatic emails, email integration, RingCentral integration, etc. The fact they track audience engagements is also helpful to get a feel for the audiences. There are some limitations, of course, but it's possible to use it well based on the lower price point than other competitors.

Cons:

The features are sometimes limiting. They intend to be helpful but actually cause more work. For example, I dislike how you can't choose a certain date for an automatic task but rather have to delay it by X amount of business days—it becomes such a pain. I also dislike the same feature for the automatic emails, it becomes a pain point. The pipelines are good to use but have a limit on how many steps can be created as well, which is also limiting. I also dislike how you can't use the same trigger in different stages of a pipeline—this can be so unhelpful at times. Lastly, there's something very off with the AI used to identify duplicates. Sometimes the suggestions are close to each other but sometimes they're VERY unrelated and it keeps getting flagged as a duplicate.

A value for money product but be warned it is very buggy!

Comments: Generally speaking, the software is easy to use and also easy to setup however it is frustrating that there are bugs in some of the basic software components

Pros:

Nutshell is a cost-effective product. Most other similar products are a lot more expensive. One of the unique things about Nutshell is its custom email templates which engage placeholder settings. This means you can customise an email template but include elements or placeholders that need to be customised on a per-email basis so the software will not let you send the email unless the placeholder is attended to.

Cons:

Sadly Nutshell is very buggy and the CS and developer teams seem completely uninterested in resolving my complaints about the software. These are basic features mainly within the templating software which I have told Nutshell about countless times, yet they seem uninterested in resolving them. Sadly the bugs can make for a frustrating experience on some occasions. What is even more annoying is that they continue to turn out useless features that are half-baked rather than spending some time fixing the issues at the centre of their core product.

Comments: Nutshell contact software is something I have used every single day for the past 12 years! I keep all of my customer information and there are thousands. If I lost access to Nutshell I would not be able to sell!

Pros:

I love the email feature! I can send customers emails right from Nutshell and track when and if they open the email, click on links, etc. Such a great feature. Email Templates are great too.

I like everything about Nutshell. It makes my life easier so I see no cons.

Easy to set up, easy to use, very intuitive and uncomplicated. Reasonable price

Cons:

The integrations for financial reporting needing to be charged separately. The cost of the integrations would be double the cost of the monthly subscription.

A great resource

Comments: I have used Nutshell with several companies and from sales teams ranging from 2 people to 15 people. The platform has always risen to the level needed without the crazy expense.

Pros:

I like the fact that Nutshell is not overly complicated. I have been in sales for decades and Nutshell is all I need to be organized and successful.

Cons:

To be 100% honest I do not see anything in the platform that I do not like. It really is all I need to do my job efficiently across our small sales team.

Streamlined Success

Comments: We all love the fact that we can add notes and tasks for each other when something needs to be done. I can go in and see my boss's tasks and make sure there is nothing he needs from me. I can see my staff tasks and see if they are on target or need more or less.

Pros:

Integrating Nutshell into our business was pretty easy. My favorite option in nutshell is how customizable it is. My second favorite is the support team. Always there to help and offer suggestions.

Cons:

I need a duplicate button. When creating a calendar event /task for a specific lead or contact, there should be a way of entering a default address. Or duplicating an event or lead would really cut down on data entry.

Comments: Our team is extremely happy with Nutshell. I sold CRM for 6 years before coming to this company and right before using Nutshell. I have been pleasantly surprised by the platform. I have used Sales Force and many other CRMS that can be overkill in features and size for a small team. We are 60 employee company with only a handful of users in Nutshell. For a small team, this tool has been perfect for us.

Pros:

I love the ease of use. Intuitive UI. They launch new features and improve existing ones.

Cons:

It has been really difficult to manage duplicates. Lots of dups are created instead of updated. Dups are also suggested when they are no where close to being the same.

Comments: Its user friendly and one can use it even when offline which makes things easy since you can be somewhere where there is no network. The App can be downloaded on pone and doesn't eat up a lot of space.

Pros:

Its an App that is user friendly and saves a lot of data. Anyone in your workplace can have a glance of what one is doing and can also be used to rate staff on the contacts saved and also scheduled activities and meetings.

Cons:

Since I started using Nutshell it has been great and very smooth I am yet to find out any issues or something that is not sitting well with me as I use it.

Works well for mobile lead tracking

Comments: The application is very easy to learn for new employees and retrieves data quickly on the desktop and mobile version.

Pros:

The desktop reporting functions are very fast and help us to generate ad-hoc insight into our sales. Competing products tend to take several minutes to generate reports.

Cons:

The mobile Sales Analytics generates reports on a 30-day window as opposed to a month-to-date view. This means that we have to use the desktop reporting to get accurate numbers.
