However given the unresponsive support team, this is not the cost effective option I would recommend > > **Cons**: Customer support ghosts you, leaves you to bots and overseas staff with no context so you can start from scratch. This was most frsutrating when there was misbilling and repeated false promises, include fake confirmations, of a refund to make us whole. LH has still not reversed the overcharge and it's been 2 months. > > After years of using LH, which served our basic needs (we had little to no support requests), the worst I've expeinced in the hotel/vacation rental software business - and we have numerous tech stacks in different markets. I don't know if the team has hollowed out and SiteMinder is no longer investing anything into LH, but it is just bad. I would strongly reconsider any decision to use them. The issues started on renewal, when a sales manager agreed to send back a better proposal when we spoke a week prior to the auto renewal. I told him that I would not renew at the existing rate, and to turn off my auto-renewal, which he confirmed. I thankfully took detailed notes of the call and identifying info. I never heard back from him and my numerous calls and emails went unanswered. I then received and auomated email that the subscription was autorenewed. I then called it in and spoke to \[sensitive content hidden\] , Senior Customer Success Advisor. She reviewed the info and agreed that the past rep did not action what was agreed to. She provided the new rate and assured me that the refund would be processed and that my account was removed from auto renewal. It has now been 2 months, and we still have not received the received and \[sensitive content hidden\] has not replied to a 6 weeks of requests for updates. We received 2 emails from general support with "confirmations" it was processed, only to now hear it could not be processed at all due to "internal issues". We will now have no choice but to involve our bank, or send a demand letter. I can no longer believe that this is simply administrative error; it's hard to belive there are companies that still exist with this model of overcharging, promising refunds to keep a customer (even providing an updated contract with the refund amount) and then never promising it or responding. No reminder for payments. > > The people answering the support tab are 99% very nice. I have talked to couple of them, and I always found nice, polite and competent people. Those who had to help with installation, however, were totally inexistent. They convice you to buy it and then they do not follow up at all. They make you feel inadequate as if you are not computer literate you can die\! they make you download give you few hints and you need figure it out yourself. We had no support on how to fix rates, how to understand things and how to continue.
