Reviews of Aha!

Good product for strategy and roadmap planning
Comments: Good product and one of the best SAS solutions in the product strategy space. Hoping the new service model they are adopting doesn't alienate existing customers but time will tell.
Pros:
Ease of use, thoughtful design, ability to manage backlog of ideas and promote to a roadmap and subsequently JIRA for execution
Cons:
The service model that Aha! is evolving towards is self-service unless you subscribe to their Enterprise+ licensing tier and meet a certain minimum number of seats. Disappointing to not get the same level of service commitment that the company provided in their early days but they claim a "lean" servicing model per my recent discussions with their Customer Success department.
Aha: a must have for Product Management
Comments:
Aha is by far one of the best software on the market (if not the best) to manage a product, from small sized products to very large.
I'm using the product from many years now, and I was able to build a lot over it.
Via customization I can adapt the workflow and the data displayed in a very detailed manner.
The integration with DevOps is providing almost everything which is needed, and what is missing I was able to integrate it developing on the API framework of Aha which is very complete.
Pros:
The customization options (especially if you have an Enterprise+ plan) and the APIs available make it possible to really do everything. Support is very good, they answer in a good time and the answers are always able to solve the problems.
Cons:
Sometimes some APIs could be extended, but they are constantly evolving and usually you can get what you need in a relatively short time.
Not worth
Pros:
It was simple to use, but this is only thing i can say.
Cons:
Sorry, but I did not like this program at all. It was not my cup of tea.

Hi Jakub, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry to hear that Aha! was not a good fit for what you were looking for, but glad that you found it easy to use. If you are ever in need of a product management solution in the future we would be happy to help get you started and answer questions at [email protected].
This tool has become critical to my success as an executive
Pros:
The ability to connect strategy with plans and work being done towards business objectives.
Cons:
It takes some time to setup and understand but well worth the upfront effort
Simple light tool for requirements management
Comments: A very light tool that works as intended for requirements management.
Pros:
A simple light tool for requirement elicitation and management.
Cons:
Any user can enter requirements, comment on requirements and track the progress.
Good for feedback
Pros:
It's so easy to use and allow users to submit their ideas and proposals thru the platform
Cons:
There isn't anything specifically, sometimes I feel it is a bit barebones, but when deploying to tons of users and customers, it honestly is better that way
Aha is a great tool for product managers
Comments: Overall my experience with Aha has been excellent. The Aha team has made direct enhancements based on feedback I have provided. I enjoy using their product and working with them
Pros:
One place for all product related outputs that can be internal or external
Cons:
It can be confusing to find a roadmap once it is made
Game changer. If you can afford it, you won regret it
Pros:
As a software developer, I've been following Aha!'s evolution for several years. I've always admired its strategic approach to product development, which was particularly evident in the early days. Its strong focus on product discovery and its seamless integration with tools like JIRA have made it a popular choice for product teams. The platform's ability to quickly generate presentations and reports from project data is a significant advantage. Overall, Aha! is a well-rounded tool that continues to impress me with its thoughtful design and powerful features.
Cons:
While Aha! offers a robust suite of features for strategic product management, its pricing can be prohibitive for individual users or smaller teams.
Amazing Support - Ideas portal capability which is easy to use and feature rich
Comments:
Evaluated Aha and primary competitors, this was an ideal solution for us, with great private portal capability, and staff proxy voting.
The support during the trial was exceptional, well beyond that of the others we were evaluating.
Pros:
Amazing support with well thought our Ideas portal capability, which was easy to setup and deploy.
Cons:
No cons thus far. We imported users, emailed went out and client engaged with assistance.
A robust solution for project management and agile execution
Pros:
Robust visualization toolbox. Highly customizable, with clean and professional design.
Cons:
Requires lots of clicks, could benefit from utilizing more suggested shortcuts / machine learning
Best customer service, hands down!
Comments: Aha! is so robust. I am learning so much, but it is already making a great impact on the transparency that we needed with our team. Having watchers on projects and activities and the ability to tag anyone that's just a viewer or reviewer is fantastic! We manage over 100 events a year and more than 40 sales people, so keeping them in the loop with our progress is great. It's helping us get out of some paper/e-doc templates that we can now have built into our project card templates so all information can be entered there for ease of reference. I believe that we can pull reports on any field as well. The presentation and reporting features offer a lot. It's a matter of us determining the best views for our team. Their customer service team is outstanding! They respond super fast and are always helpful. They will get on a quick 30 minute call to talk through and walk through issues to empower you to get it right! I know I'm driving them bonkers right now with so many questions.
Pros:
Aha! allows you to tie higher level goals to initiatives that can dial down to the most granular level. We wanted the capability to pull reports for our C-level executives to see what we're working on and our previous project management system didn't have that as an option.
Cons:
We also loved the workflow features, however there's a little snag in the way we need to visually see our activities and tasks so, unfortunately, right now they don't have the capability to have a true workflow (phases and milestones) tied in with our processes because they get buried in the top level schedule/project. Since we work in the marketing world, our processes are different than the product release projects. If we could have the phases and milestones as a part of the activities so that if we push back the project (schedule) date or postpone in the status field that it would push back all assigned dates accordingly - that would be ideal. Right now, we are managing manually... The notifications are another issue. There's a LOT of notifications that come through my email on a daily basis. Even though I have it set to a daily and weekly digest on each workspace, I still receive too many emails for every task completed or created in projects that I follow. But I don't get an email when somebody comments on something, I have to go to my notifications for that. The my work view is really robust as well. Once you get the hang of where you need to look, it's helpful. However, the naming convention of the records doesn't allow you to know right away which task is tied to a particular project, so we're trying to make sure that we title the tasks and activities accordingly - but that's tough to do manually for project templates with generic tasks.
Alternatives Considered: Asana
Reasons for Choosing Aha!: We needed transparency, a department wide overview of all projects and campaigns that we could easily share with the powers that be. There was little project management capabilities that truly helped the team move campaigns forward - so the robustness of Aha! takes care of that and so much more! Now we have a birds eye view of every detail of what we do.
Switched From: Basecamp
Reasons for Switching to Aha!: Because Aha! is even more robust. I used Asana in my marketing firm for years and loved it, but we are not a Google based company and it still had limited options that Aha! beats.
Best Idea Management Software
Pros:
With Aha!, we have had a great experience thanks to its document management, knowledge management and idea management features It comes with great strategic planning features
Cons:
Aha! is not the the most cost effective idea management software.
Best roadmap tool ever!
Comments: Really like to tool both configurability and functionality, outstanding customer support - every time.
Pros:
Completely configurable, even terminology, that meets our internal needs, custom roadmaps, export to presentations and links that can be embedded in dashboards
Cons:
Nothing missing but the level of configuration presents a learning curve. It's flexible and once learned not hard to use or train people.

Solid product
Comments: Really good... integration with JIRA is great and saved a lot of pain initially.
Pros:
Fills a real gap in strategic product management
Cons:
Parts of the interface are still a bit tricky / unintuitive to use.
An advanced strategic tool with lots of functions and possibilities
Comments: Aha! is the only tool we are using for common road mapping all over the company. Our plan is to also use the idea portal in the future. That will be step no. 2 for us, we just have tested it a bit so far. Roadmaps are prio.no. 1.
Pros:
Aha! is our first common road mapping tool in our company. It helps us to get a common focus on the work to do, and for aligning towards our company strategy. We are getting more and more advanced with different views = roadmaps, but also with the minimum alignment between the different divisions. We use different Release layout, e.g., for SW and for mixed SW/HW.
Cons:
I would say that it is a challenge in the beginning for users like me, that have not a product manager background, to see what to do and where it all fits. So a very easy "Aha! for dummies" guide, like the really good film clips that are found in the Aha! internet pages, that would have made my working life a bit easier. But a really like the short film clips, they are very useful. Maybe that could be an option, to make them available from the data model? The you get a bit more info than the text there, they could be linked to the short films directly. =)

Great tool!
Pros:
Great tool and great customer service - all of my questions are always answered timely and accurately!
Cons:
Sometimes it's a little hard to find what I'm looking for. There's a lot of real estate! but I'm navigating it as I'm newer to the system

Aha for Product Management
Comments: It is quite powerful, and learning will take some time. Overall, quite impressed with the tool.
Pros:
It is very visual, don't need a separate tool for workflows, folks can work on something together, love the whiteboards.
Cons:
There is a huge learning curve, can get quite complex, whiteboards need more options like lucid charts, white boards don't maintain zoom level when you go back to it.

Where would we be without Aha!
Comments: I have been using Aha! for approximately 8 years and implemented at 2 different organizations. Support is top notch and I would highly recommend this software for any Product Owner/Manager.
Pros:
The interface and UI are very intuitive. We are able to use this for 3rd party application releases as well as internal dev team roadmaps.
Cons:
No enterprise licensing is available and the license cost per full user is a bit high.

Used Aha ! to communicate back with my Product managers
Pros:
I like the separation of ideas and features, compared to other tools in which all feature suggestions are created in the same way, in aha features are first suggested as IDEAs and the PM promotes them. It was very easy to track features that were promoted and getting notified for features being too long in the backlog.
Cons:
The integration to Salesforce was bad, I ended up creating ideas directly instead of creating them from salesforce as I should have as a CSM. Furthermore, the main drawback of Aha is that you don't manage bugs or development in it unlike SCM tools or Jira (bitBucket) which makes Aha! an expensive tool since it's used only for PMs and there is a limit to the number of dashboards one can track when my developers managed bugs and code in Git.
