LogicNets as base for Synoptic Reporting in the Netherlands for Pathology on a national scale

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: At PALGA we have been working with LogicNets since 2014 and are world leaders in Synoptic Reporting in pathology. With LogicNets as a platform, more than 1.6 million pathology records have already been produced and with more than 450 users every day, it offers a system that works perfectly in the flow of laboratories in the field of pathology and molecular biology. All pathology laboratories in the Netherlands use the PALGA Protocol Module that runs on the LogicNets platform.

Pros:

LogicNets is a flexible platform that offers the possibility to meet the complex requirements for synoptic reporting within Pathology and Oncology. And still growing with new demands from the field of users. LogicNets offers very good support and thinks along with solutions that can also be realized quickly. In addition, there is the advantage of the community where solutions or parts thereof can be used. Moreover, it is easy to link / integrate with Laboratory Management Systems (LMS). And futhermore the modeling in the designer is very simple.

Cons:

Actually nothing. In the last 6 years we have not encountered a problem that could not be solved.

Modeling Synoptic reports using LogicNets for PALGA

4.0 4 years ago

Comments: For me, the game changer using LogicNets is, creating functionality by modeling instead of programming. No need to understand complex programming languages but using functionality building blocks and creating a logical flow of functionality. It is easy to explain and discus with peers or even customers

Pros:

Creating functionality with LogicNets is not programming but Modeling. The easy of use, using predefined functionality building-blocks, makes it really easy to create the right functionality for synoptic reporting. The Standard delivered LogicNets framework fit’s perfectly the needs of the users of the dutch pathology laboratories. Small customer specific modules can customize the look and feel to fit the need of the customer in this case PALGA. Because you create a model it is easy to explain and maintain it, also for none IT professionals. I have explained the modeling job with LogicNets to multiple users from different backgrounds. All can create and maintain the desired functionality after a short training.

Cons:

Of course, in the 6 years I have been using LogicNets as a modeler for PALGA we encountered issues. But the support has always been very satisfying.

Easy to use, a little knowledge of development is required

4.0 4 years ago

Pros:

The biggest advantage is that you don't need to write code but you can see the protocol visually.

Cons:

We can't use pictures in the protocol, maybe is it possible but we don't have that option

Hi Rick, thank you for your review. Your protocol modeled in the LogicNets Designer can make use of pictures. Our support team will reach out to you and show you how you can do this.

Excellent decision support system for data collection from electronic health records

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: The implementation of this software allowed us to achieve improvements in both efficiency and quality of our data collection. It also enabled independent functional management by a number of our own staff. As a consequence, we became less dependent on third-party support.

Pros:

It is a decision-support system and allows information to be structured in protocols that have been programmed within the system. Our data collection protocols are now integrated within the system, allowing more efficient protocol management. The quality checks are now carried out during the primary data collection phase. This supports the data collectors in achieving even higher data quality. Data validation has now also become a fixed component of the data collection process for the entire patient population.

Cons:

The performance of smart grid: it quickly becomes slow at> 20 records; that should be better. Cursor focus cannot be modulated now. That would be a nice addition.

Wegmans Review of LogicNets

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Overall we have had a great experience with LogicNets. They are very accessible and always willing to help us with different questions or problems we may encounter. We are very satisfied with the product and the company as a whole.

Pros:

What I like the most about LogicNets is the ability to customize the work flows and how easy it is to learn the programming. LogicNets has done a great job of working with our team of programmers and being able to walk us through different features so we could learn the system.

Cons:

It took longer than expected onboarding the application because we didn't know the programming that needed to be done in the framework. It wasn't until we reached out to LogicNets and started using support hours that we really started making good traction in the onboarding process.
