Vidyard Review

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: Vidyard was a lot to understand at first, mainly because we haven't used another website like this before. The training and customer support we're able to help us get a firm grasp on it though. Now we have integrated it with Hubspot and it gives us all the analytics we need to help understand our customers better.

Pros:

Vidyard provides us with a great solution for using embedded videos on our website. We're able to track everything and because you can connect it to Hubspot, we get all the analytics we need! The customer support is extremely responsive and very helpful. The training we received as well as exactly what we needed to get everything set up. You can add CTAs to all of your videos, which helps us greatly.

Cons:

The platform is very clunky and extremely hard to navigate. Thankfully, we had many meetings with people at Vidyard to understand this platform. I still get lost in certain areas though, but the customer support is available to fix my problems!

One of the best Video Marketing Platform

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: My overall experience with VidYard has been exceptional, and I love what I am able to accomplish through video messaging. In my field, research shows that people are more responsive to video emails that are personalized than traditional emailing methods.

Pros:

What I like about the platform is that you are able to customize the platform and videos you record and are able to trim and edit the videos to our thumbnails and send them directly from the platform or through an email.

Cons:

The only thing I think might need a little improvement is integration with other platforms.

This tool is creepy and pointless

1.0 7 years ago

Pros:

Nothing. This tool was forced on me and has been nothing but a time waster. They claim a number of successful use cases but can't provide examples and in practice - across a team of 20 inside sales reps who had to use it daily (as a pilot test) not one person saw success.

Cons:

The platform is clunky, pops up unwanted. The videos rarely saved correctly. But most of all the ROI on the time it takes to record these things is 0%.

Vidyard is what sets me apart

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Vidyard is great and definitely a tool that all salespeople should be using daily.

Pros:

Vidyard is seriously the best things ever when you're prospecting. It works so well to have video in any cold outreach and makes the whole process of prospecting less weird.

Cons:

I honestly love Vidyard. I don't have any complaints besides that fact that it doesn't integrate with Outreach.

VidYard Is Great For Enablement & Marketing

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: I've used VidYard for creating training/enablement video playlists and I've helped set it up for my sales team to use in prospect Outreach and it's an incredible tool for both at a fraction of the cost similar solutions cost.

Pros:

I love that you can customize your videos and playlists to match your brand. I love that you can track clicks/watches/watch time. I love that you can integrate with Salesloft.

Cons:

No cons yet! Maybe one thing is better adoption practices

I use Vidyard everyday and love it!

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: We have loved Vidyard!

Pros:

As an SDR, I love Vidyard's platform. The biggest selling point for our team was their integration with SalesLoft. We can easily create personalized videos for our prospects, layer on case studies and other marketing resources and send them through a SalesLoft template or via gmail.

Cons:

I wish that Vidyard allowed for scripts to be running alongside the screenshot while you are making your videos

Great quality and easy to use

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: It requires little training to get started and how to use effectively. Easy to download, use and share. Happy Vidyard user!!

Pros:

This platform is very easy to use and the browser plug-in makes video recording and option selection very easy. It helps me give the best service to my clients because I can send them visual instructions on tasks they need assistance with so they do not have to read a "step by step" guide on how to do things.

Cons:

No major issues at all. I wish there was more options on how the screen & camera format could appear but thats just a personal preference.

Good video platform for easy video recording and sharing

4.0 7 years ago

Comments: Very good tool that helps me share video fast and easy with other people through links. I use it a lot when I have to make a tutorial of something I'm doing on my notebook.

Pros:

This platform is a really useful tool when I want to record myself talking, or when I want to record the screen of my computer and share it to someone else. It's nice the way it get connected with your google drive and the video automatically generates a link that you can share to everyone.

Cons:

You can't download your video in the free version, that could be a problem if you want to use it offline in a presentation.

Meets You Where You Are

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Vidyard is extremely easy to use, has a great chrome extension, and allows you the basic functions you need to get videos out to any audience.

Cons:

It is VERY difficult to make a clean recording sharing a powerpoint given that Vidyard is web based. I frequently found myself recording a Zoom session and uploading to Vidyard for this reason. This is a niche complaint that won't affect most users.

Great Video Communication Software

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Vidyard is great. It allows us to connect with our customers more as well as understand our customers. It is great for training as well as promotions

Pros:

There are a lot of things I like about Vidyard. Firstly the ease of use of recording your screen or yourself is quite simple. The second is the analytics. In today's competitive market, it is important to hear from our consumers and how they are interacting with us. Looking at how long they watch videos for, or how they respond to certain videos is important for our growth. Social sharing is also important for our team. Our team can easily send out email blasts for videos they have recorded straight from the website, or they can share through multiple social media platforms. Also, the chrome extension is very useful to create and send quick videos.

Cons:

The only thing is that some of the more complex technical marketing ideas take too much technical knowledge and is hard to coordinate with the IT team to fulfill some of the more challenging requests. Otherwise it is a great product.

Vidyard is a necessity!

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Our sales team could not function without Vidyard.

Pros:

Vidyard has been instrumental in my career. I increased my response rates by 9% using video in my sales outreach. Vidyard is what gets me to my quota, and I would not be half as good at my job without it!

Cons:

My only complaint about Vidyard is when there is a software update. Only because the first video I make after an update doesn't save and I have to redo it.

Vidyard is perfect for creating quick screen cap videos

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Much of the time we use this to create step by step videos of how clients are able to update their website and be able to edit/update different types of content. It really just takes seconds to get started using the chrome extension. it's great.

Pros:

I like how quickly I'm able to make a screencap video, which we generally use for trainings both internally and externally.

Cons:

For my purposes, there is really nothing that I especially dislike about the software. I know that it's much more powerful than the purposes that I use it for, but it's honestly perfect for my needs.

Vidyard Video

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: I enjoy using it. I enjoy the fact that I can do a quick video explaining to my client what I've come up with for them. Rather than trying to write it in text where it could get misunderstood.
It's super easy to use and super easy to attach to emails

Pros:

Vidayrd is a great tool to quickly make small video clips to attach to emails and the likes. It allows you to video yourself, or video your screen of your are doing a demonstration. There is also the option of having yourself on the screen whilst you do the demo. The integration with hubspot is great and makes it so easy to attach videos to emails. I like how it attaches with a thumbnail too.

Cons:

There is not much I don't like about this. The videos are hosted on their site and if you delete from your library the video is no longer available to view. I'm just using the free version so not sure if you can sort your library of videos in the paid version.

Great business tool for Sales & Marketing

4.0 8 years ago

Comments: Vidyard is a great business tool for Sales and Marketing teams to use video in a way that contributes to revenue. Adding Salesforce integration is vital to a) sales reps using video content b) demonstrating the # value video actually contributes to the bottom line.

Pros:

Easy to use, integrations with Sales/Marketing tools, great for producers to get insight into how their videos are being consumed

Cons:

Would like more options in reporting

Best videos for quick tips

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Vidyard has been a great solution for making it easy to show our customers how to do specific actions on our platform.

Pros:

I love the ease of sharing my screen and easily capturing what I am demonstrating in my product. I also like the search feature and being able to embed videos.

Cons:

The trimming tool only works at the end instead of inside the video which would be more helpful. And the version I have I don't have folders.

My customers love my videos!

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: I use Vidyard to answer customer questions and it works!

Pros:

I love being able to answer a question with a video. It is much easier to create a quick video on how to use our product than to type out a reply. Furthermore, my clients have told me that they love my videos.

Cons:

I wish I could create folders for my videos so searching would be easier.

The best option for screen capture and demo videos

5.0 4 years ago

Pros:

So easy to use and setup. The chrome extension make it easy to record and send videos right from your browser. We use it for client outreach to make personal introduction videos, which always get a better response than normal test emails. The best part is you get a much more generous recording time than Loom on the free plan, but upgrading to paid open up all the analytics you need to see how many people have viewed your videos which is super helpful for sales teams.

Cons:

Some of the high end paid plans are a little expensive, but the benefits are there to see. A must-have tool for teams that do lots of demos for clients or for sales teams to make personalised videos for outreach

Take some time to get familiar

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: Needed some professional help to get it setup at first, due to unfamiliar with the terminology used in the software.

Pros:

Upload of video seems pretty fast and the service rarely becomes unavailable. The uploaded video very 'portable' for use on different online platform like SharePoint and Lithium.

Cons:

Buttons and labeling in the user interface not always make sense. Folder structures also take time to get used to.

Incredibly easy screen-cap software for creating training videos

5.0 7 years ago

Comments: I am able to share best practices with remote users without having to schedule skype or zoom calls with each person. This saves me a lot of time.

Pros:

I love how Vidyard is free. I use it to screen capture my actions to share with people outside of my office, so they can see how to do specific things. It's incredibly easy to use and it has been totally hassle-free.

Cons:

I have no negative issues to report with Vidyard. As I use a free version and it does everything I want it to, I am totally satisfied.

Decent Outreach Tool

3.0 3 years ago

Pros:

I liked being able to customize videos to send to prospects.

Cons:

It seems like Vidyard was not a fully fleshed out tool (circa 2019). The tool would not allow me to make edits or revisions to an existing recording - rather it would only allow me to record one video and then have to delete it and re-record a new one. I spent an entire Sunday making customized videos for about 25 prospects and even after all of that effort had no return on that investment as no prospects responded.

Free version, easy to use, great way to stand out in email, friendly customer support.

5.0 7 years ago

Comments: Increased lead generation. Easier to personalize emails. Simple video customer support.

Pros:

Chrome plug-in makes it so there are just a few clicks to create a video, and it doesn't take you far out of your normal Chrome/Gmail routine. Free version is as good of a value as you'll get. Quality of screen recording is high.

Cons:

Not many complaints. A few more robust annotation tools for the videos would be nice, but it doesn't need much more.

Vidyard Review

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: I would definitely recommend this product to my colleagues.

Pros:

It is very convenient and easy to make a video. Chrome plugin makes it very quick to launch and use this product. Vidyard helps to give a personal touch to the emails.

Cons:

Analytics could be made more intuitive. User interface can be improved but its not a major drawback. So far I haven't come across any major drawbacks while using this product.

Solid enterprise platform video product but isn't the best

3.0 6 years ago

Pros:

Very good videos platform that can do a lot of neat stuff for external customer videos and also comes with a great library feature if you want to add it to an intranet

Cons:

Reporting is not very robust and it is a very expensive product. I wish it came with more features for it being considered an enterprise level software
