Hands down the best payment processing platform

5.0 3 weeks ago New

Comments: I've been using Stripe for many years and I had very few issues. On the few times I had to ask for their support, it was 5 stars. Staff is really nice and response times are super fast.

Pros:

The flexibility, the easy of use, the ability to implement online payments with a simple JS drop-in. I also appreciated all the features offered even in the basic tier.

Cons:

Funds withdraw takes longer than most platforms, but it's only a few days so it's manageable.

Alternatives Considered: Authorize.Net, WooCommerce and Square Payments

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: PayPal's lack of support and being denied of some features, despite having an account in good standing for years.

Switched From: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Stripe was by far the easiest one to setup (offers several different integrations), the most cost effective and the one that wouldn't lock me in specific platforms.

Seamless Payment Processing for a Smooth Guest Experience

5.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: Stripe has revolutionized how I handle guest payments. Its seamless integration, reliability, flexibility and security make it the perfect payment processing solution for my small business. I highly recommend Stripe to any business owner looking for a trusted and efficient payment partner.

Pros:

I've been using Stripe as my go-to payment processor for accepting guest payments, and it has been an absolute game-changer for my small business. Whether it's integrating Stripe with my booking platform or sending guests a payment link directly, the entire payment process has become incredibly seamless. I can easily track payments, view transaction details, and generate reports to stay on top of my financials and I've never encountered any issues with payment processing or delays, which is crucial for maintaining a smooth guest experience.

Cons:

One concern is the platform's fee structure, as some of the transaction fees can be relatively high compared to other payment processors but based on my overall experience this does not affect me greatly to move from Stripe to another tool.

Alternatives Considered: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: Stripe provided greater flexibility in customising the checkout experience, allowing my business to maintain the branding and offer a seamless payment process. It was also cheaper to process payments via Stripe and the integration with my booking platform was seamless.

Stripe does offer any seller protection for fraudulent orders.

1.0 4 weeks ago New

Comments: Recently we have has several fraudulent order on our website that seemed suspicious. However, Stripe software failed to reject or flag the fraudulent orders. So, we held the orders and did not ship them because billing address, shipping address, and phone numbers did not match. A month later, stripe notifies us with an early fraud warning. With no warning, the banks already collected the transaction fees plus dispute fees.Tip for consumers:Stripe doe not cover it's customers and has horrible customer service.Products used:Stripe has no kind of seller protection for fraudulent orders. They simply award the banks and automatically charge you dispute fees with no questions asked

Pros:

There is nothing positive about using stripe when they do not cover their customers for fraudulent order placed on your website. They will automatically award the banks and charge you dispute fees. Rather than their software detecting it in the first place and rejecting and flagging the payment.

Cons:

No seller protection and horrible customer service when trying to work on a fraudulent dispute charge.

The Best Payment Processer For Freelancers

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: I have had an excellent experience with Stripe and have been using it to receive payments for over 4 years now. I've never had any issues in that time or had to contact customer support.

Pros:

Stripe is very easy to integrate with invoicing software (I am using Zoho Invoice), and allows me to accept client payments by credit/debit card as a freelance writer. It is also trusted by clients, and since I started offering Stripe payments, I have found that I am now getting paid in half the time as when I offered bank transfers/Paypal. The fees are also a lot less than PayPal.

Cons:

The only con I have had is that it took a long time (about 1.5 weeks) to receive the very first payout due to verification processes. But after that, I now receive a payout to my bank account within 2-3 days each time.

Alternatives Considered: Square Payments

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: I really don't trust PayPal anymore. I've had many issues where they withhold funds, and also they have some of the worst fees and exchange rates from any platform ever, which is a huge problem when accepting large payments or funds in different currencies as I do regularly.

Switched From: PayPal

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: I had many other freelancers also recommend Stripe to me, so ended up trying it out, and was very happy with the service. It is easy to set up, reliable and processes payments very quickly.

STRIPE Lifer

5.0 last week New

Comments: Going from paying numerous monthly fees with a merchant service to using Stripe…it’s been a blessing to me. I use it for all my business needs and products.

Pros:

I just like the overall operation and features of Stripe, I went from using a merchant service that charged a monthly fee, plus additional fees per transaction, plus the credit card and back fees, to using ONLY Stripe!

Cons:

I have not found anything I dislike about Stripe. Going from paying numerous monthly fees with a merchant service to using Stripe…it’s been a blessing to me.

Alternatives Considered: Square Point of Sale, Square Payments and Mindbody

Reasons for Choosing Stripe: I have saved A-LOT of money switching to Stripe.

Switched From: iGo Figure

Reasons for Switching to Stripe: I still use Square for some things, but choose Stripe to link directly to sales pages, point of sale products and services. Stripe offers more user friendly features.
