> **Pros**: Easy to deploy once you have all your targets supporting web-based or web-oriented API standards: you define the times of calls or executions in cron format and you place the webhook/web-address for the action to be initiated.

> **Cons**: Your accessed software needs to support web-based API standards, requires extra work to bridge other software for such access.Limited definition of parameters for calls.Reports status from the webhook call, so if the app fails but processes its run successfully it might be incorrectly reporting end status you might be interested in. There's no multilevel/multifactor reporting by design, so you can't add extra options to logic defining success rate.

> We tried to find an option for multiple types of applications deployments to centralise batch operations as an alternative to currently still in-use UC4 Automic Job Scheduling. However the restrictions and web-oriented approach made the solution not useful enough to warrant switching.Ivanti AC on the other hand gives far more options for applications management and reporting. Web-oriented approach means the cronhub service needs to be able to access targets. As such it was not the best option for cordoned off deployments.
