Performance Testing GATED AI
Pros:
NeoLoad 6.9 was the clear choice after conducting a Performance Maturity Assessment again the leading Load Testing products. Combining ease of use with powerful features that allows end users of any level of Performance Engineering skill levels to quickly develop and maintain Performance & Load Tests. Additional 3rd party integration with Dynatrace is excellent with the ability to view realtime results via NeoLoad Web and natively built into both platforms along with other APMs (CA APM / AppDynamics). Native support for both SAP, Java and Oracle provides excellent technology coverage.
Cons:
Integration with SCM tools can be heavy even in XML mode - however the support for Performance as Code improves this dramatically.
Good product for Load Testing requirements
Comments: Very pleasant experience working with NeoLoad. Their support is also very responsive.
Pros:
Variety of protocols are provided in this product for completing the load testing needs of most companies. It also has nice GUI which helps tester being more focused on the request and its body rather than worrying about the syntax of NeoLoad specific API. The integration with version control tools like Bitbucket and git is cool. We can also initiate tests using an API provided by NeoLoad. This reduced the hassle of logging on to a machine and running a test.
Cons:
There are problems with LoadGenerator where sometime it takes longer to connect to Load Generator machine than expected resulting in failure of test launch. Once connected, the test run fine. Another thing to improve on is to provide facility to work on branches and checking in /out specific branches. May be provided in newer versions.
Alternatives Considered: LoadRunner Cloud
Reasons for Switching to NeoLoad: Ease of use, good support for GWT based testing, cost effective compared to LoadRunner
A powerful tool for Performance Testing
Comments:
Overall it is a great tool for Performance testing.
Team members who are not familiar with performance testing should be able to use it with the help of tutorials that are available.
Pros:
Scripting is very user friendly. Parametrization features are great. Test Cases are easy to create. UI is very easy to understand and use. Even the record and play feature is matured and works great. Reporting & Monitoring is great that makes analysis easier and effective. Performance for Mobile apps can also be tested. You also get (free) assistance from their dedicated team of experts. Someone from their team called me and offered any or all the help that I may need.
Cons:
Not really that I could think of at this moment. For me it worked great but you can go for the trial version to see if it caters to your requirements.
