Here are the reasons why:- Natron is completely open-source which means it's entirely accessible to anyone. It's what I got started with back then when I was still struggling to find my way out of the mud.- It provides powerful compositing features such as retroscoping, keying, smooth color grading, and 2D/3D tracking which essentially makes up motion designing.- It supports a wide range of video and image formats such as PNG, JPEG, MP4, AVI... you name it - allowing flawless integration with most third-party industry-standard software.-It takes full advantage of GPU acceleration for faster rendering and processing of complex visual effects. This can be time and stress-saving. > > **Cons**: Besides those, Some of the main reasons why I switched to better software are :- Natron is not currently less in demand compared to After Effects. I like that Natron has enough nodes to satisfice my compositing needs for every project I do, both CG and film. So if we want to have completely free compositing software with great potential, this is a very interesting option. > > **Cons**: This compositor may seem to be an imitation of Nuke but with some limitations, the programming can be somewhat difficult to master as it has a somewhat large learning curve.
