Saving more than money

Comments: Zeffy has changed the way that I do things - it has made my life so much simpler. By having everything on Zeffy, I can take care of so many things in just one place, and in a more intuitive way than some other platforms. The staff have been helpful and friendly. Seriously, Zeffy has saved my sanity and renewed my ability to focus more on the work I do rather than scattering my energy every which way.

Pros:

I love how Zeffy has made my work life so much easier in many ways. I can manage my email list, send messages to different segments, tag individuals and their interests, sell tickets to events, collect membership fees, and track income and engagement throughout. Best of all, I can do all of this (and more) without having a portion of our income being snatched up by a supposed 'ally' of non-profit organizations.

Cons:

There is nothing that I dislike about Zeffy. I love that they have regular introductory workshops that you can join to learn how to use the platform. It still took me a little bit of time to learn some of the ins and outs of the program, but I feel confident that, if I had a question, they would answer it quickly.

Easy and Effective Event Management for Non-Profit Organization

Comments: Overall experience has been very positive. The platform is easy to navigate and customer support is responsive and helpful.

Pros:

Zeffy provides an ideal platform form for event registrations for my non-profit organizations. Setting up events and managing registrations is quick and easy. Registration forms can include custom questions which is essential for our events. The ability to accept optional donations has proven helpful. The fee structure which ensures our non-profit receives 100% of the proceeds from registrations and donations is terrific.

Cons:

We experienced some challenges in setting up our payment processing through Stripe, but this seems to relate more to Stripe than Zeffy, and Zeffy support was helpful in resolving the issues.

Disappointed and Upset

Comments: I will file a complaint with the authorities about Zeffy's practice.

Pros:

I do not like anything a bout the way you do business!

Cons:

After we opened an account with Zeffy, within the first two months, Zeffy didn't pay two out of 4 donations we had received. I followed up with customer service and was notified that our account had been canceled because our nonprofit (501 c3) religious charity, which has a spotless record and has been active since 2001, was considered high-risk. No other explanation was provided. Also, it will take up to 60 days to refund the donor who paid two donations. My understanding is this can happen to anybody and not worth it. Once you open an account with Zeffy, please provide all the information they need and receive their approval. If your customers make payments to your business, you still may not receive your money without an explanation, and your account may be canceled without explanation. Your customer refund may take up to 60 days. I don't recommend this company and will file a complaint with the authorities about Zeffy's practice.

Comments: Overall, I would 100% recommend Zeffy to any non profit. Without question or hesitation, Zeffy is rocking it for the little guys.

Pros:

Obviously the fact that we get 100% of each donation. No other company out there that I could find gives 100%!

Cons:

Nothing yet. I need to spend a little more time on the portal understanding the ins and outs of how to use Zeffy

Great Support for Nor-for-Profits

Most user-friendly platform ever!

Comments: I work in IT and have used many applications and platforms throughout my career and I've never been so impressed with a product like I have with Zeffy. Bravo to you for creating such an amazing tool that nonprofits can benefit from for years to come!

Pros:

The entire process was so seamless and pain-free. I found the customization and branding super straight-forward and simple to follow. I will continue to use Zeffy for all our fundraising event needs!

Cons:

Can't name a thing because the every feature Zeffy provided our organization was value-add from beginning to end.

Comments: Their platform is easy to set up, and if I have any questions they get back to me within a few minutes. They also never made me feel like my questions were unwise. Plus, anything that the platform did not do in the beginning, it now does. It wasn’t months that I had to wait for them to change either, it was often very quickly.

Pros:

I love that I can embed the ticketing platform into our website. I’m not sure if Eventbrite now does this, but at the time it didn’t. It is very good for us that we don’t have to send our purchasers to a different website. Our ticket purchasers mentioned that it’s great that they’re not redirected to another page to purchase. They’ve also said that the platform is very easy to use. We haven’t had any complaints, and we’ve had a few ticketed events in the past few months.

Cons:

I find that the form that we embed on our website can sometimes be finicky design-wise. Although, I know a lot of it is our website. I'm just picky about how everything looks.

Comments: Overall my experience has been fantastic! It has been easy and effective, plus it's FREE for nonprofits.

Pros:

It is very easy to use. I am not particularly tech-savvy, but I was able to navigate the program and create the forms that I needed. Tech support was available when I did have questions.

Cons:

I would like for there to be an easy way to manage payments for Silent Auction items. While there is something in place for on-line auctions, I had to create my own make-shift way of managing our in-person auction.

Zeffy is a 100% FREE resource that you NEED for your nonprofit!

Comments: Incredible. We will use this as long as it exists!

Pros:

Zeffy is an amazing platform. It is created by a nonprofit and for nonprofits and they are not here to take anything off the top. With an easy-to-use system and helpful staff who you can actually speak to on the phone, this is an amazing resource. I don’t even want to think about fundraising without it!

Cons:

No complaints. It is incredible. (If you need fast donations you will need to plan ahead though. Instant donations are not a thing but you can do Weekly donation transfers or monthly!)

Zeffy is Crucial to our Non-Profit Operation

Comments: Love it. Won't ever use another platform.

Pros:

The platform is easy to use and understand. All of the features are helpful to our organization. The ability to export data to Excel is excellent. The ability to accept online credit card payments if very useful. It is so versatile from ticketing, to donations, to registrations - we use it all. Not only is it free, it is functional and genuinely useful.

Cons:

I like the Volunteer features that no longer exist.

A smooth transition and ability to tailor to our needs

Comments: My organization had previously used other fundraiser sites including GoFundMe Charity (previously Crowdrise), who decided to strip down their offering and remove almost all functionality. Zeffy was there to respond to those needs and more. Overall the experience was smoother and more tailored to our needs than any services we have used in the past.

Pros:

Zeffy's features and functionality most closely matched our needs, and the fact that there were no fees taken from donations was a huge bonus. It was easy to learn and use, and the customer support was excellent and attentive. With the help of Zeffy my organization was able to meet our ambitious fundraising goal.

Cons:

There was a bit of muddiness in sorting out the event registration vs. become a fundraiser vs. donation functions for some users, so there seems to be something lacking in the clarity of some of these processes and how they are communicated to users (I would have to spend time looking into and asking users for this feedback to be more precise). There was also a technical issue with the site within the first few days of the fundraiser; it did get resolved within a reasonable amount of time but added a lot of stress and extra work on the part of the organizers to deal with the inquiries that came as a result.

Zeffy is the Real Deal - Drop GoFundMe - Go with Zeffy!

Pros:

The features and the zero transaction fees make the platform ideal for NPO's. It truly is more intuitive in design and features than any other offering. We have saved $1,000's in transaction fees for our organization. We even use the system for tickets for events. It wonderful.

Cons:

Would be nice to have a messaging system to send updates out to donors who have donated via the system.

Perfect for a low-use Senior Center

Comments: I am so grateful we found this product! It is just what we needed.

Pros:

Our small-town Senior Center base basically disappeared during Covid. We are struggling to rebuild our membership. Many of our older population are not computer savvy, so we needed something simple to use and that we could easily add off-line (cash) payments to for tracking purposes. Zeffy suits us perfectly.

Cons:

I cannot get images to load no matter what size or shape they are. Customer Support has been great about getting them to load for me, but I hate to keep bugging them, and I'm not sure why I can't get it to work. Plus telling me what pixel sizes is not helpful for a non-graphic person :\

We ❤️ Zeffy

Comments: Overall I loved using the Zeffy platform to sell tickets for our fundraiser event. Once I set it set up, everything went smoothly. We’ll be using it for more events in the future. I found being able to sell tickets online to be a huge help, in the time it takes and also for planning purposes. And we also now have a list of people who bought tickets with their contact information for future events (which we didn’t necessarily have prior to using Zeffy). Thank you Zeffy!

Pros:

No cost to our service organization and no cost to our customers. Easy to set up, easy for our organization to get paid. Easy for our customers to go to the site and buy tickets.

Cons:

There were a number of times when I had questions about the set up or how to make changes after we were up and running. But there was no one manning the chat feature and when I left a message it took 1-2 days for a Zeffy person to get back to me. When they did I was not near my computer or I had already spent a bunch of time trying to figure it out myself (and being frustrated). I did appreciate that you got back to me to answer my questions. It would be much more helpful if the help was more readily available. I’d love it if the chat feature was truly live, at least during regular business hours. That would be a huge help.

Beyond Impressed

Comments: The customer service and integrity are second to none. Simplyk's team is so cohesive. They answer my emails quickly, professionally, and with great helpfulness. They arranged video calls to get to know our agency and goals; it's obvious to me that they know our agency personally and care about our success. As far as integrity goes, every promise Simplyk made has been delivered. We were shocked when the first donation came through at 100% of the donated amount. When they say "no fees," they actually mean it. I trust this company completely, and it has been a pleasure working with them on our projects.

Pros:

Simplyk is a dream solution for our fundraising. It is great for the donor, with easy navigation and few clicks. At the back-end, it was so easy to set up our pages and make them look beautiful on the interface.

Cons:

We are hosting an event that requires people to register before they create a fundraising profile. We have had a few people create a profile on the fundraising page without registering beforehand, which requires a bit of manual follow-up. However, Simplyk has some great features in place to prevent this, like auto-directing people to the event page after they register.

Keep every cent of your donations! No CC/Platform Fees!

Comments: Overall the experience has been very good for a free platform that lets us save cc fees. It honestly does more than I thought it would, and we've been happy with it. If Zeffy charged for the platform or cc fees, we would look at comparable platforms. The great thing about Zeffy is that there literally is no comparable platform. EVERYONE charges fees except them. They seems too good to be true, but they're not!

Pros:

Most people thought Zeffy was too good to be true. I begged them to let us try based on reviews from reputable sources like Capterra. We are SO glad we found Zeffy. It's provides more than I hoped for in terms of a platform, and it saves us so much in terms of credit card fees.

Cons:

There are definitely things we've run into that could be more convenient, but we've always been able to fix user errors on the back end or rework things to compensate. The biggest annoyance that we've run into is that once you sign up for a volunteer slot on an event, you can't change it. We will not be using the volunteer service anymore due to that, but everything else has been manageable.

Looking Into Using Zeffy Is Worth Your Time and Effort - you won't be disappointed

Pros:

The features that was most important were the ability to offer existing members pre-populated forms that made it easy for them to renew annual memberships by paying dues and making donations on-line. This replaced our legacy system that was painful to the membership because it forced them to fill out a form with the same info they gave us last year and then mail it to us.

Cons:

The ability to arrange the information presented on the forms is somewhat limited so the process flow did not match our existing process. An example was the form for a renewal customer required them to answer first how what donation they wanted to make the Historical Society over and above the dues. Then the form asked them to choose whether they wanted an Individual or Family Membership. This sequence should be reversed.

Comments: Our experience has been very good. Customer support responds quickly and so far have resolved any issues.

Pros:

Saves time tracking donations. Easily generat reports for monthend. Easy to set up and navigate, very user friendly. It was easy to add the donation page to our webiste. It works well.

Cons:

We have had a few complaints from donors about the section to donate to Zeffy defaulting to a percentage they feel is too high.
