About Duolingo
Cloud-based learning management system that helps educators provide language training and track student's progress.
Those things are incorporated in to the lessons, yet the user almost doesn't notice because it's so well integrated.
Sometimes the theme or words become repetitive, and even the fact that you stop accessing the application makes you go back to the beginning, this demotivates you a bit.

The Best Language Learning App I Have Ever Experienced So Far!
Comments: I like that it is a very efficient way to learn a new language. I also like how it is gamified so that it makes it more fun and engaging. Besides, I can enroll in more than one language at a time and keep practicing simultaneously. It has a learning streak which is like if you don't practice for a few days in a row then your progress will go back to down level and you have to start again from the past although you can freeze the streak a few times. Overall it really helped a lot in learning the basics of language.
Pros:
There are many things I like about the Duolingo language learning software. Firstly, it is free which makes it accessible to everyone. Secondly, it is very user-friendly and you can learn at your own pace. Finally, it provides a great way to learn a new language or brush up on your existing language skills. I like that Duolingo offers a variety of languages to choose from. I also appreciate the fact that it uses a game-like format to make language learning fun and engaging.
Cons:
Every product comes with a con but to be frank I didn't find any major cons for the app. Hence it is really enjoyable. But sometimes the repetitive tests may seem boring for the users as the app sometimes brings up the same lessons again and again. The learning process is a bit slow.

Cons:
Some translation issues can be inconsistent or confusingThe limited availability of languages for learning in some countriesMore customization options to let users focus on specific skills like speaking or grammarMore features to practice speaking skills, such as speaking with native speakers or recording and listening to your own voiceImprovements in correcting grammar and spelling errors to provide more detailed feedback on user performance.I think Duolingo's interface can be a bit confusing, especially for beginners.I also think that the teaching method can be very repetitive and boringProblems with voice recognition and error detection accuracy.Duolingo is a language learning platform aimed primarily at personal use. Duolingo beware of bugs!
Comments: Ignored when I report a persistent bug. It’s gone on for MONTHS but my patience has run out now because the same bug has occurred again preventing me from progressing to next exercise
Pros:
I was enjoying making progress and learning Italian. Until the bugs started happening and my reports have been ignored. I’ve tried reinstalling App but bugs are still there. I would advise people to avoid this App at all costs
Cons:
The bugs are preventing any progress and are frustrating to the point of distraction

Duolingo: Making Language Learning Fun and Easy
Comments: I like how Duolingo leverages technology to make learning languages interesting and accessible to everyone. It's interesting how the app uses artificial intelligence to tailor courses to each user's proficiency level, and its emphasis on relevant, real-world language abilities is helpful for anybody wishing to apply their new language in a professional setting.
Pros:
Users may easily learn a new language with the help of Duolingo, a fun and engaging website for language learning. The bite-sized courses are easy to fit into a hectic schedule, and the gamified approach motivates students to keep practicing.
Cons:
It might not be sufficient to completely grasp a language. Additionally, some users might find the app's gamified approach to learning to be too easy or distracting.

Awesome software for effective learning of new languages
Comments: A very effective and well-developed software that makes learning languages fun and interesting. I would 10/10 recommend! I love that there is an online community to support you!
Pros:
My favourite feature of Duolingo is that it tracks your progress really well. I can see a clear trend that Duolingo provides me with in my learning as well in other users which gives me motivation. The point system is useful in that it motivates me to study more and use Duolingo more to achieve a better score and as a result become better at the language I am learning. Duolingo is very user friendly. When I used it for the first time, I could figure out its features with little guidance. Therefore it is a well developed program suitable for both beginners and advanced language speakers. I have had a pleasant time learning new languages (French and Italian) thanks to Duolingo's programming that makes learning new languages interesting and engaging. I find that when I am learning something new with Duolingo, it is not as overwhelming as I think it would be. There are also communities that help encourage users to make progress. I would highly recommend Duolingo if you are looking for a fun and interesting way to learn new languages. Duolingo is especially useful if you are looking to get a basic understanding of a language, it will cover all the basics you need!
Cons:
I don't have any dislikes about Duolingo. I have used it for 1.5 years now and have seen a major improvement in my French! One suggestion is for Duolingo to add perhaps more engaging tests - something like reading comprehension? That would be really cool to see! It would be also nice for there to be no ads so that one can really focused on learning.

Best way to learn a foreign language
Comments: I have used Duolingo several times to learn a foreign language. Once, I even studied for over a year every day without a break. I recommended it to a few friends, and they were also satisfied. It's a great solution for someone who prefers to learn on their own rather than with a native speaker or in a group.
Pros:
Price (it's for free!), ease of use (the app guides you step by step by your hand), extensive language courses, UX of the app
Cons:
Apart from minor mistakes in a few lessons (which I reported and which have been corrected), Duolingo works perfectly.

A very excellent tool for learning different languages
Comments: An excellent experience. I advise everyone to try and learn more about different languages in useful ways
Pros:
- Ease of dealing - Multilingualism - Having a free copy - Suitable for all ages - Completely safe - There are many means of encouragement even among learners and some of them to increase competition
Cons:
- The paid version is a bit high on a segment of not a few people - Increased chances of error in tests to provide an opportunity for permanent learning

I liked my experience with Duolingo
Comments: A fun and different experience that develops many skills in a short time and occupies free time in an effective and educational way
Pros:
I liked the diversity of the courses and the gradation in the level, as the application serves a large segment of users, from beginners to excellent students, and it starts with you from the beginning easily and flexibly
Cons:
The ease of use and the simplicity of the interface and navigation in the application make it very special

my practices with duolingo are the best
Comments: perfect to improve or to start practicing another language
Pros:
I had no one to rehearse the Spanish and French language that I had studied with, so I decided to install Duolingo on my cell phone and start practicing and I was fascinated by its perfect learning tool where I learned more and perfected my language, I really like using it when I have time
Cons:
All of its operation is phenomenal, there is nothing I don't like, on the contrary, I like everything and I love it

Single app for different Language
Comments: The overall experience was awesome, If anyone looking to learn new language this is the best application or platform which I recommend.
Pros:
The good feature which is available was various language which can be explored and the certification for that languages.
Cons:
The least I like was the voice pronunciation which was little bit needs to be improved to understand for beginner. At first I tried to learn German language I felt somewhat difficult to understand the pronunciation.
Tim
Excellent start for learning languages - Tries to turn it into a game
Pros:
I dont think i've seen other learning tools and apps succeed in gamification in the same way as Duolingo. This gives a great advantage for casual learners and can help them develop basics of a language as opposed to a standard learning environment. It also provides a relatively productive way to handle 'slack time' that you may have during a bus, train or underground trip on the way to work or somewhere else.
Cons:
The software is great for casual learning. But should you become serious about learning a language to the point of intensive lessons you may find Duolingo lacking compared to a traditional course.

An Interactive place to Learn New Languages in a Fun Way
Comments: Duolingo has a knack for inspiring students. All of the app's features, including the daily tasks, leaderboards, progress reports, and peaceful atmosphere, are ideal for my passive learning style. Since the lessons are brief, I typically begin one without devoting a lengthy session to it. So far, the experience has been fantastic.
Pros:
You can enroll in a variety of language classes. The way the entire learning process is organized on Duolingo — gamified, soothing, bite-sized courses to dip into whenever, even on the road — is among its most appealing features. Everything is well-organized and simple to use, including progress monitoring, looking back at previously taught materials, leaderboards, and communities for discussion with other learners and professionals. One fantastic aspect is that anyone may start learning any language right away without spending any money and avoiding receiving any advertising.
Cons:
The program, in my opinion, is excellent for novices because it provides a solid starting point for language study. However, as you develop into an intermediate or expert level, you start to understand that the software can't really help you much more. The courses start to seem a little too robotic and calculated, which is bad if you want to advance. You will need to forego the app and experiment with different language learning strategies that provide more impromptu learning possibilities. The free version's restrictions are another drawback, but those are to be expected with any application, so we can't strictly blame Duolingo for them. In conclusion, I heartily endorse Duolingo for anyone learning a new language.
Anne
Best language learning app
Comments: Generally, i have had a great experience with Duolingo. I am actually still using it at the moment.
Pros:
What i like most about Duolingo is the fact that it is absolutely free and out of all the other language learning apps, it has the widest variety of languages to learn; 37 to be exact. I also like the simplicity of the app. It's so easy to use even for the most ordinary person. The way the app is designed with funny animations is so welcoming that you can actually look forward to learning a language. I also love the way the app is designed to encourage the learner to not give up even when he or she has made a number of errors. Duolingo recognizes that language learning is not easy and patience is a required virtue so when one feels like throwing in the towel, the app is there to remind you in some way that it may be challenging, but it will all be worth it in the end. With all the positive attributes that the app possesses, i believe it is a great and fun tool that can even be used by children and families not just for learning, but for spending leisure.
Cons:
What i dislike about this software is the lack of option for learning offline. I think learning should not be limited to strong internet connection. If there is a way that the software can be adjusted just a bit to accommodate learners who have poor internet connection, that would be wonderful so that learning goals can be reached faster. When it comes to the ads, there are some ads that are displayed that make me feel uncomfortable even as an adult. For instance If i was using Duolingo in public and some of these ads are shown, then people can question my character and probably any other learner's character.

Great Beginner Language Learning App
Comments: My overall experience was really good. Everything was easy to follow and the app itself is quite fun!
Pros:
I like how user friendly and interactive the Duolingo Software is. It’s very easy to track your language learning progress and the layout of the app is very fun. It kinda mimics a game, which is great to hold interest especially for young language learners. I like that you can start to learn a language from scratch using Duolingo. I started learning Italian using the app about 2 years ago and I learned quite a bit of vocabulary and also how to form simple sentences to express myself clearly as a beginner. It’s also impressive how the app provides you with a built in feature that guides you as it relates to the correct pronunciation of verbs. The activities also include listening comprehension which is great when you’re new to a language and don’t exactly have anyone to talk/ listen to. I know there are thousands of free videos on the internet but at times it can be a bit hard and overwhelming to keep up with what the speakers are saying when you’re very new to the language. With Duolingo, everything is perfectly paced for a beginner to understand with ease and I like that a lot. Another advantage worth mentioning is the numerous languages that the app offers. I like the flexibility a lot; and honestly, whenever I start to learn another language, back to Duolingo I’ll go!
Cons:
I think the app is great for beginners, it gives you a strong foundation for your language learning journey. However, as you begin to progress into an intermediate or advanced level, you begin to realize that there’s not much more that the app can do for you. The lessons become a bit too calculated and robotic which isn’t good if you’re wanting to advance. You will need to bypass the app and try other language learning methods which will offer more spontaneous learning opportunities. Another con is the limitations that come with the free version, but like any other application, that is to be expected and we can’t necessarily blame Duolingo for that. All in all, I would highly recommend Duolingo to any beginner language learner.

How to Master new language? Try Duolingo
Comments: After using it for a couple years so far, I can say that I am more than satisfied with Duo, especially after I started learning German daily with the use of it ( currently I am at my 358 day with 234 crowns and I want more knowledge, more skills and of course more Duo ). I would like to see more improvments in Duolinguo and if possible, that they return as officially recognized by LinkedIn as well, as I would like to boost more my German, share it with my connections and eventually land a new and better job thanks to it.
Pros:
I love that feeling of accomplishment after new skill was acquired or new level gained ( and crown for it too ). It teaches me the basics of some language and it is free too, but I would like to see even more chapters in future, as you can't get enough of it.
Cons:
I don't like the new system with five hearts ( for five negative answers, after which you fail a lesson ), but I understand it is there in order for this platform to keep being free for everyone and because of that I don't mind it too much. In the other hand, I would like to get more things which can be bought in the Duolingo shop, maybe some new outfits for Duo and especially more advanced skills for languages.

Homework, homework, homework
Comments: My overall experience is good, but not excellent (some of the sentences are kind of weird and not very useful). But it’s a good way to gain confidence on your grammar when it comes to write in a different language.
Pros:
I think there are not such a thing of too many tools to help us learn (or improve) languages, so it’s good news that we have apps like Duolingo, one of the best known by the way. And that’s for something. I feel like I’m carrying my English teacher in my pocket, I can do the homework literally everywhere and at my own pace. I think it’s especially useful for beginners or for the lowest level skills.
Cons:
This app is convenient and easy to use, but I’m not sure if it’s the best way to gain fluency in a language. I’ve been trying to be proficient in English for a while now, and I find it helpful to learn grammar, writing and reading, but not as much to improve my listening or speaking. Nothing like practicing dialogues and conversation with native speakers to do so, these language apps won’t do miracles.

Duolingo is changing how people learn language
Comments: I have nothing but good things to say about Duolingo. It's the first app I open every day, and one of the last apps I use every night. The way they have gamified learning and paired it with AI to customize learning paths, for language learners of all skill levels, is utterly remarkable. I spent 12+ years learning French in school and Duolingo was able to break grammar and conjugation issues that had plagued me for more than 20 years. Merci Duo!
Pros:
The way that Duolingo has built a community of language lovers through a gamified learning system is truly worth noting. The customized learning paths created for each user offers language learners of all skill levels to start confidently. Having tried all of the major language learning platforms before landing on Duo, I really can't think of a better place to get your family learning language.
Cons:
The only con that I could list is that the profiles could be expanded to allow people to include their social media handles. It would be great to connect with other Duo users on, and off, the platform!

Easy Language Learner
Comments: Was using the free version for a while and it's been great. Those ads have been realy obnoxious and feel my Spanish reading and vocab has improved a enough to order the 12 month plan. Definetely recommend full version.
Pros:
I really like the app. It is great to learn the basics. To be clear just using Duolingo to learn a language is not enough. You need other methods as well and most importantly you need to practice with native speakers. Btw, not only is their platform pleasing, fast, and fun, it works as promised! the only downside is of course the ads (and hence the 4 stars -- program and content is 5 stars for sure), but hey, IT IS FREE! IGNORING THE ADS IS A SMALL PRICE TO PAY!
Cons:
Quantity of material varies among languages. And I was really enjoying the program and the motivation it provided to keep my daily usage streak going., but reporting the bug is not easy, I did my best and after 3 days they have responded. That nippers little bit.
Priyanka
Uses of Duolingo
Comments: Duolingo is one of the most used and most popular language-learning applications. Many are satisfied with this application since they are practically at their home itself. For people who want to learn a specific language but do not have enough tie, this is perfect software as you can allocate your time per day.
Pros:
1) It is the best beginner-friendly app for people who wants to learn languages. 2) It is cost-free and very effective as it starts with simple sentences for target languages. 3) The app reminds them to practice by itself which keeps users motivated. 4) It has different parts to make users try like listening drill, fill in the blanks, matching pairs, and mock conversations.
Cons:
1) Users do not have control over vocabulary, the order that topics come in, or choose to skip them. 2) Since it is online application software, it lacks the feeling of human interaction. 3) Lots of ads in between.

Love Duo!
Comments: I love duo! It helps me to keep learning and is fun and easy to use! I find the stories are really nice for 'real-world' applications of using the vocabulary. Honestly, highly recommend!
Pros:
Duo is so easy to use and fun! It keeps me accountable and helps me to remember words that I may otherwise forget if it wasn't for the good timing! I like that it's a quick daily lesson and that Duo sends reminders if I fall off from Daily use. User friendly, cute graphics, and most importantly useful for language learning!
Cons:
There's very little that I would list as a con with Duolingo. I use the free version so not all features are unlocked, which works for me, but you do have the option to pay to unlock more features. They give you the option to flag answers that you believe may have an error, but it does that a while for those to be reviewed.
Zakaria
that's why i use Duolingo to learn any language
Comments: overall experience, I would say that Duolingo has such great results, and everyone should use it.
Pros:
Duolingo is a really common software to learn any language as a beginner, it has multiple versions, you can use it on your mobile, computer, tablet... Duolingo is using great technics to make learning easy for you, there are audio exercises, short stories...Duolingo has a great rewarding system, to make you really motivated to learn, you can practice any language you want anytime and there are no limits, the thing that I really liked more, that the app is always in touch with you and sends you notifications every day to remind you of your lessons, to be honest, the software is soo fun, I really enjoy it, and i use it most of my time.it has such a big impact on our lives.
Cons:
the thing that i liked least, The ads. I don't see that ads are a good idea, and i think that can be affecting people while learning and distract them.
Andile
Duolingo Changed My Life!
Comments: In overall, I love Duolingo. I find myself watching French movies now and understanding something that I never did but of course I still refer to subtitles to confirm that I am on the right track. My reason for learning a new language is for exercising my brain and keeping it sharp.
Pros:
For starters, Duolingo is free despite the fact that it teaches you a whole new language, a language that can change your life in terms of improving your cv, giving your brain a sharp memory etc. I like that Duolingo sends me emails or notifications everyday when he realizes I may have forgotten about the lessons because most times I would have. Duolingo has very interesting French lessons that are also part of the lessons. They are really interesting and make you want to continue reading and studying.
Cons:
When I am recording my voice in response to what Duo wants me to say, I realize that the speech recognition is not that precise. At times I hear myself pronounce badly and be ready to say it again but Duo does not hear it properly and marks as pronounced properly. The speech recognition is lacking a bit and I believe can be improved.

What is my experience with Duolingo?
Comments: It's very well, In my experience is excellent for start to learn a language. But I think is necessary more things for be absolutely professional.
Pros:
I loved it, because you can practice a new language writing, listening, spelling and all together. Also, the sections are organize for you keep learning daily. I like when send you a notification for study a new lesson, and how is easy for keep as a routine.
Cons:
Well, In Duolingo you can obtain gems for buy some extras resources such as themes, and gadgets; sometimes, Is expensive and you can't buy it. And the plus version quit ads, and give you more facilities for lessons. but I don't think is necessary for the price. Another problems is the level of languages. For be C1 (advanced) Duolingo isn't enough.
Michael
Best Language Learning Experience
Comments: I have tried a few other language learning apps, but I always come back to Duolingo. It is yet to be seen if it can help me gain some level of fluency (which will likely require more language immersion than an app can provide), but it has been an excellent tool to get me started in that direction.
Pros:
The interface is very easy to use and has improved considerably over the years. The gamification of learning has really helped me stay on track: It is fun to be able to quickly move through each task while still seeing noticeable progress. The whole experience is definitely finely tuned in order to keep you from getting discouraged while also being challenged.
Cons:
Since the base version is free, there must be ads, but, besides the ads, I wish there were not so many prompts to click through after every lesson. The calculation of points and rewards should be only one or two screens: I want to get on to the next lesson.

Best and FREE way to learn languages!
Comments: It is AMAZING because I'm able to polish languages that I already know, and learning new ones wherever and whenever I want.
Pros:
That I'm able to choose among many language options, being able to start learning more than 1 language without losing what I've advanced. Also I like that appart from written words, there are sounds of how to pronounce the words, and above all, IT'S FREE!
Cons:
Not being able to choose a method of learning in some languages. I want to learn languages like Japanese, but I'm not able to concentrate I'm not able to choose switching from the symbols (hiragana, katakana, kanji) to actual words with letters, that is what I used to see everywhere and try to speak like that.
