Costumer Service is the best

Comments: It is a very robust system user friendly everything is in one platform, continuous updates, payroll is accurate, but most important is their customer support

Pros:

Time management communicates with payroll, easy to use, very flexible, all kinds of reports can be extracted, analytics are awesome, but most important is their support team, when you have an issue, they are super friendly, professional and knowledgeable, reply or call in a timely manner and they are always there for you going the extra mile. The company is always looking for ways to improve .

Cons:

It does not communicate with benefits, and a little bit limited when it comes to performance management

Pros:

I can still remember my first year end back in 2007 with Avanti. It was so quick and smooth! I was amazed! The support team is incredible. Reply is quick and always so very helpful. Running a payroll is so quick!

Cons:

Securities is somewhat complicated in that there are so many steps. Understanding set up is confusing

Comments: Overall I find the software complicated and slow. I think that it still has a long way until it is user friendly for hr employees who use the platform.

Pros:

This software has a lot of reporting capabilities and the onboarding set up and process is fairly simple and effective.

Cons:

I often find the platform to be overly complicated, especially with regards to the access levels and role assignments. In the report designer feature and other capabilities within the platform there is often overly complicated coding needed which is something that as an HR employee I don't have much knowledge on.

Comments: experience has been good but I find the new technical support challenging. It was much more efficient when I could call the help line and get help on the spot.

Pros:

It was Canadian, it was possible to roll our current information into the system.

Cons:

expensive to get started. It was alot of work but worth it in the end

Great Solution for a SME business!

Comments: I have used Workday, SAP, Workday and Kronos systems before. Avanti is very easy to use. Performance management system could be better if it could be customizable. Currently not using this tool.

Pros:

Very easy integration with hands on support during implementation. They have an amazing CX support team, with quick resolution of issues. Very easy to learn the system, much simpler than other payroll systems I have used.

Cons:

Would love to see the performance management system be more customizable.

Comments: At first my experience was great, had a wonderful onboarding team and the support staff has been very helpful through the years. However I do feel that things are slipping as they don't seem to have the same people there or are having lots of turnover.

Pros:

I like to easy of the calculations in the background of things we use to have to do manually, such as overtime and when a unionized staff went up a grid level (change in rate of pay). I like the reporting functions and the ease of making reports.

Cons:

Some of the processes you can do on the desktop should also be available on the web services, for the same level of person. If I am an admin, I should be able to see everything i can on the desktop on the web. Also some features that were sold to me at the time of the sales pitch are still not functioning 3 years later. I do know they are working on them however.

Flexibility Galore - but you need your own internal support

Pros:

Flexibility to customize for our needs ourselves. with most other market products, that would require their programming and expertise, and increased costs as a result. Flexibility to define our own reports. Most other products on the market do not offer this, and you must pay the provider to provide you with the reporting and workflows you need.

Cons:

Flexibility requires someone within our own company with high level technical skills. Avanti works for us because we have that. We could not have done, or do what we currently do with only Avanti support. Our internal technical person appears to know more about Avanti, than Avanti does.

Comments: We find it easy to learn and train new users , the support is good.

Pros:

We mainly went with Avanti as we wanted Web time as previously we were doing manual timecards. It is working well, we have now implemented a 2nd and 3 union contract, there are some bumps in the road but we are getting there . The support we get is good.

Cons:

There should be more mass uploads eg upload biweekly deduction amounts through a report on the Employee deduction profile. instead of having to manully enter each individual

Comments: We have been involved with Avanti for more than 15 years. Original set up went well, and we amalgamated with two other agencies approx. ten years ago and had to onboard two additional payrolls. Support was very helpful with big jobs like that, as well as little questions.

Pros:

Report writer allows us to customize reports and access information quickly for analysis.The payroll module is very user friendly and maintains all applicable employee information.Time & Attendance module allows for easy tracking and balancing of employee entitlements.

Cons:

None. (I would have left at "none", but since you require a longer answer)Monthly maintenance fee once increased because we had a large retro to process, so they charged for every employee; yet other months were based on an average (high estimate) and when inquired, I was told it would change month to month. It does not. It appears as though they are fine to charge additional support (even though we didn't require any support), but will not adjust to real numbers if it falls below the estimate.

Comments: I enjoy working in Avanti compared to other systems. It is easy for employees to use as well.

Pros:

I like that it is an integrated system. The ease of processing payroll with the amount of reports that are generated while processing to ensure that all accounts are being charged correctly in your GL. The way you can customize your reports is also a plus.

Cons:

The fact that it is sometimes frustrating when making changes in a profile and you have to change it in multiple spots instead of the system updating on its own. Also when adding new codes to profile and getting it to link with the web is confusing and not well documented

Avanti has been a gamechanger

Comments: Avanti has completed changed our payroll experience. The data entry time has been slashed, the accuracy of the time and allocation have increased exponentially.
I personally have gone from spending a few days each month on payroll to a few hours.
The reports have given us invaluable insight into th erunnings of the school.

Pros:

Their customer service is amazing. Everyone helps with a smile. Never need to break my head on anything, because I can always call or email and get a quick response. The multi dimensional reporting has been critical to understanding our schools costs.

Cons:

The report designer is a bit complicated. The reports work amazingly, but I struggle to create new ones. I have seen other programs with drag and drop reporting, which Avanti does not have. But help is a short phone call away.

Avanti is a fantastic software!

Comments: My experience with Avanti has been excellent - from software training, to using it and the after implementation client support.

Pros:

Payroll is easy, I can report on pretty much everything I need, and year end is so much easier

Cons:

It can be a bit overwhelming for one person because it can do so much but I still love it.

Comments: I think Avanti is easy to use for beginners and it's even better once you start understanding the nuances. I started using it without any payroll experience and it did all of the thinking for me. I just had to follow the steps on the instruction sheets.

Pros:

I like that Avanti is highly customizable and effortless to use. The Avanti customer service team is wonderful and is there for us at any time we need them. I like how they are constantly improving their software and they make us part of this advancement. We get to have a say in what improvements need to be made.

Cons:

Because it is highly customizable, I'm responsible for any changes that are made to Avanti subsequently.

Went Live with Avanti April 2019

Comments: Everyone at Avanti is knowledgeable and helpful. If the customer service person is unable to assist with your issue, they will conference someone in that can or get back to you ASAP. They are quick and efficient and always want you to be satisfied with the results.

Pros:

Avanti is very customizable to add and remove areas that are not of interest to your organization. The reports are exceptional.

Cons:

It is so much work to get this up and running. If you have a team on this project you will be fine. I am the only payroll administrator so I was switching us over and running the old payroll system all at once. But take your time and enter everything as you may one day want to access that data.

Comments: We have been useing Avanti since 2000, and it's been great growing with the company and evolving with it. Considering we are a Not-for profit organization and we have so many payroll anomalies, I have to say I love that Avanti has been to accommodate and or create functions that work for all our needs.

Pros:

I love all the features with Time and Attendance, we just ordered the HR modules, so excited to see how the onboarding and Training features will look. I love the ease of navigating the Payroll module.

Cons:

the only Con I have is on the Payroll side, it would be great if we could pull more reports from the Position, than just the Employee master profile

Comments: The Client Care team is amazing! They are always quick to respond and take care of any issues our organization is facing. Avanti is a fairly straight forward program to use and the online help guides are very well done.

Pros:

It is so easy to use and navigate and the Client Care Team is quick to respond to tickets.

Cons:

I feel there needs to be more "in-depth" information on report building. IE explanations of where the data is being pulled from. Also, the ability to have information on the same line of the report when using multiple modules within Avanti to build a report.

Avanti suits our business needs at this time

Comments: Excellent , would like to see more enchantments to create an even better experience.

Pros:

The reporting ability to pull most fields in the system.

Cons:

Moving to the cloud has created a few more steps to process and save information. We are not able to email or save documents as easy as post cloud.

Comments: Solving the issue of manually tracking when EEs are on and off shifts. Once you get more familiar with Avanti the easier it becomes.

Pros:

Hard to say I was hired when the product was up and running. the Support is great when you call in. Very friendly and helpful in a timely manner.

Cons:

Difficult in building reports to access the data. Unable to populate a list of employee numbers from excel to only get data that is needed. The exporting of data into Excel is not user friendly. There are tutorials online, but they sometimes don't walk you through the entire process, so you land up calling in for assistance.

It works

Comments: Better in previous years. It seems like the business model has changed and expert, timely advise is not always available anymore.

Pros:

The product is easy to use once you know how it works. Its not hard to learn the program.

Cons:

When something goes wrong, it can take a long time for support to have a solution. It has happened on more then one occasion where we had to limp by while the team at Avanti was figuring out coding issues of their end.

It is a very good product

Comments: Have been using Avanti for 17+ years and it is still as close to an in-house product that you can get for a medium business with a variety of time tracking requirements

Pros:

There is a great deal of flexibility to meet our company needs and our employee needs

Cons:

The only issue is with respect to special programs created at our request, sometimes with updates we have to get our programs updated as well

Excellent Product & Customer Service

Pros:

The product does everything we need it to do for our organization and is easy to use. Its the customer service that is the big differentiator and responsiveness of the team. We've been with Avanti for 15+ years. Its affordable, reliable and excellent for midsized or small organizations.

Cons:

Speed can be slow for users but I believe that is being addressed
