State of the art guest guidebook system

Comments: We use Hostfully guidebooks to provide a great experience for our thousands of guests. The ability to create templates saves us a lot of time creating new guidebooks. Both our guests and owners are extremely impressed by the functionality.

Pros:

Saves us hours of time, great guest experience, mobile responsive, easy to use.

Cons:

The recommendations screen is a little hard to navigate.

Absolutely the best and easiest to use

Comments: Our guidebooks are the key to our communications with our guests. They provide all the information on the home from directions to how to find the fusebox. We use the guidebooks for everything and are always looking for more ways to utilize them.

Pros:

Setting up cards that can be used for multiple guidebooks saves time and I love that the recommendations appear on the map as it is important for our particular area. Being able to embed videos to assist with complex instructions make me happy. The absolute best thing is being able to start with one guidebook for free which allows you to get a feel for the software to see if it works for you first. Then, adding on to your "starter" is easy. My guests rave about our guidebooks. They are easy to incorporate into your communication with guests as easy links via email and texts too. Highly recommend.

Cons:

The only pain point I had, and this was when I was first starting out, was the help section. For someone not used to the layout or the software, the lack of a stupid-proof help section was a little frustrating. I understand the chat section and how the "Help" works now, but at the time, it was not as obvious and frustrating at times. It really is easy to use, but some folks may prefer a bit more hand holding by Mr. Obvious when going through the process.

Comments: Can highly recommend Hostfully Guidebooks

Pros:

We do own more properties and it is great to have this tool. There is no need to rewrite a manual as you can easy select which items you would like to use for the different properties.It is pretty easy to use and the helpdesk is there in case you need them.

Cons:

Don't know. Maybe it is possible to have some functions of the guidebook available om my website so people can see some recommendations before the book a stay?

Perfect for our needs

Comments: We don’t think about it much, which is exactly why we like it! We made a guidebook, occasionally update it, and our guests can find all of the info they need for their stay. We have gotten several compliments on it from guests and no complaints!

Pros:

Hostfully is an easy to use product, perfect for our need for a vacation rental guidebook. The interface is easy for guests to understand and access, and we can generate a simple link. We also like being able to create a PDF version to send directly to guests.

Cons:

Updating guidebook recommendations is sometimes buggy and difficult. Especially when choosing photos, entries sometimes do not save correctly.

Hostfully Guidebooks the best option for your gests

Comments: Overall my experience has been very good and I think it is a very good option to digitize the guidebook of the apartment to make it easier to use and understand for the guest, besides being able to consult it beforehand in case there is any doubt or problem.

Pros:

How easy it is to customize all the templates to meet your needs, Hostfully gives you the perfect structure and space to tailor the message to your guests in the way you see it fits.

Cons:

I would like the market place area to be more thought out so that you can offer your own services. This can be done, but in terms of quality and product placemente, it is noticeable that the options that Hostfully brings for its commercial agreements are more careful and have more options to be more attractive to the guest.

Hostfully makes my job so much easier

Comments: It has been great. The renters love how easy it is to use.

Pros:

It is easy to setup. I can customize each book book to a specific property. Best part is I can make changes on the fly and the renters see the change in real time.

Cons:

I wish we could use the client manager side of Hostfully. Unfortunately in our situation we cannot. This is not a fault of Hostfully but more of the rules when third part booking sites like VRBO interact with them.

Easy to use software

Comments: It took a bit of time to set up but once it was done it’s super easy to add or modify the information.

Pros:

It was easy to set up and easy to use. Love that it adds the map and all the information is right there.

Cons:

I wish that you can include one of the recommendations into different categories, instead I have to add the same place multiple times for each category.

Great Add-in feature, must have it!

Comments: Very good experience so far, great product which can assist in decreasing the time needed with guests by a lot, and also gives the opportunity to every guest to discover things in his own time and pace during his vacation without feeling pressured.

Save yourself time while improving your guests' experiences (win-win)

Pros:

It's no easy feat to manage over 100 vacation homes/rentals. An even bigger challenge is when they're all full of guests! This is where Hostfully guidebooks came in and saved the day. I've been using Hostfully's guidebooks for over 3 years and our guests love them. They find the information and recommendations we provide extremely helpful and because of it, we believe, they enjoy their stay more. Importantly, they are intuitive for first-time users and easy to dive right into. I was never asked by any guests for instructions or for help using them. We provide a QR code in each property which guests can scan to access the guidebook and voila! The management side is very easy and user-friendly. I was able to create almost 100 guidebooks for different unique homes in just 3 days! Hostfully also makes it easy and quick to update the guidebooks using a super-efficient "card" system which I love (it's genius). I used to create and update guidebooks by using a word processor, a very manual and time-consuming approach I would not recommend from the moment Hostfully is around. It's a no-brainer, really... Give it a try!

Cons:

None comes to mind, honestly. I provided feedback for improvements when I first started working with Hostfully and the team was always so receptive and appreciated our feedback. They implemented so many improvements since then... so, what I saw as "cons" in the early days have been more or less ironed out.

Essential tool for every vacation rental host

Comments: My vacation rental is in another state, so I'm unable to visit as often as I'd like to. A paper guidebook really wouldn't be ideal me. Hostfully allows me to provide a wealth of information to my guests, and allows me to update the content from home at any time. Of the software tools I use to manage my rental, this is one I never second guess.

Pros:

Hostfully is easy to use from both a host and guest perspective. I can easily add or update content, and the web interface is intuitive enough for guests to navigate around the site without any help. The free version is great, but the features that come with the paid version allow me so much more flexibility. I love creating my own custom categories! I also like being able to create/personalize links for each guest, and have the links expire on the date I specify.

Cons:

Nothing... while there is always room for improvements/new features, I'm really love/value the software very much.

Highly recommend this software

Comments: Great experience all round, I have needed help once and it was so easy to contact someone at customer service and they talked me through on the phone and solved my issue!

Pros:

So easy to use, easy to navigate as a guest as well as the creator.

Cons:

Nothing, the software does everything I wanted it to do!

Great Guidebook - disappointing customer care

Pros:

Easy to set upEasy for guests to find the information they need, in one document

Cons:

When trying to change my email address on account I was unable to. On contacting customer service they informed me why. I then deleted a Guidebook which was no longer needed, leaving the remaining one which was vital. When I was asked to check the account details, the email had not been changed and the vital Guidebook had been removed (NOT by me). There was no way that I was going to set it all up again. Although I was happy with the Guidebook, this was a bad experience.

Great Product Needs Work

Comments: Easy to use and is great for guests to have all on their phone. I only wish I can get them to open it more often.

Pros:

I love:The map feature.The ability to customize colors and branding.The ability to capture guest info.

Cons:

-price is high for what is offered-probably works much better if used in conjunction with Hostfully (I use Owner Rez)-The UI has not changed in 2 years. The menu is clunky and the side menu blocks. Aesthetically could use a refresh.

Excellent Product - I wish I had known about it 4 years ago!

Comments: We started using Hostfully as an alternative to paper in-room directories. This was triggered by Covid as Hostfully gives a 100% no contact access to our guidebook. We're delighted with it.

Pros:

Hostfully is a brillant addition to our small 5 bed guest house in England. It was very easy to write the content. The links to recommended restaurants and attractions etc. work seamlessly and it works wonderfully for our guests. It's also very easy to update. We send each guest a link to the guide book a week before they arrive and we also have a link to the guidebook as the home page for the internet on our in-room smart TV's. Our guests love it. On the few occasions that I have needed help I have found the customer service (Phung usually answers my queries) to be excellent. I just can't fault this product and would wholeheartedly endorse it.

Cons:

Can't think of any. It does what it is supposed to do.

Hostfully is an invaluable resource!

Pros:

With multiple listings Hostfully is truly a life saver! Being able to put all the information about your Short Term Rental in a Hostfully guide book has been a huge time saver. I get very few questions from guest about things inside our listing, or where to go to eat, activities, etc.

Cons:

Not much negative that I can speak of really.

Happy with sending Guidebooks to our Guests

Comments: They have been fine... I just don't get any feedback from guests if they are using them but the cost is so low I stay with it.

Pros:

Once we set it up, it's very simple to use. I send a link to every guest staying at our condo and I like that the link expires after they leave so they can't save the codes to get in.

Cons:

Setting it up with the cards, it's a bit confusing.

Comments: During covid we did away with our old fashioned folders and moved to digital guidebooks. It’s the best thing we ever did! Far more sleek and professional!

Comments: If I could give 6 star, I would with no doubt. Great customer service and support.

Pros:

It's been almost 2 years I I ve been using Hostfully guidebooks and I think this is the first software I am using all the tools. This guidebook is incredible and super well designed. All my customers are very happy, they love it.

Cons:

Nothing, as someone said, I must right something but I do not have anything to complain. Everything is great. love it and recommend at 100%. Even translations are very good.

Comments: It has been beneficial for us to track how many of our guests are actually using the links and information.

Pros:

We work within this software daily and find it very user friendly and easy to maneuver. The support team is very responsive and always available for questions and concerns.

The links are not secure so we can't input sensitive information

Great Product

Pros:

This guidebook is a great way to show my guests everything they need to know about my property, as well as my recommendations for things to do nearby. I like the way they can see a map of all my recommendations in relation to where they're staying, and also that it looks good when printed as well.

Cons:

I created my guidebook when it was a free feature, and now it costs money. Of course, I would have like it to remain free :)
