About WooCommerce
Web-based open source eCommerce platform that helps in the creation of online store with themes, payment, shipping options & more.
I liked that it was an inexpensive, easy to set up options that was fully customizable and interfaced with PayPal.
The extension is costly for small business. And sometimes plugin is getting an error and the customer services nobody is there to help.

eCommerce plugin leader for WordPress
Pros:
Because of its leader status in eCommerce for WordPress, the number of third-party integrations is massive so it's practically possible to acheive anything.
Cons:
WooCommerce's biggest advantage is also in someways its biggest disadvantage. Many features that third-party integrations bring to the table are not in the core package, which makes it necessary to maintain several plugins to achieve the customisability that some businesses need.

This is a must have, if you have an eCommerce store
Pros:
Great free option to Shopify. Actually, this must be the only option for an eCommerce starting out. I have been using them for years, with great success. If you have a WordPress site, adding WooCommerce is very easy. Most of the WordPress themes out there support WooCommerce. Also, there are great integrations with WooCommerce, like Stripe for payment processors.
Cons:
Everything is very easy to use. I have nothing to complain about. Overall great platform! Congratulations to the developers, they are doing a great job!

Pros:
It's a free tool, easy to implement with WordPress as a plugin, a lot of free third party plugins available to enhance the functionalities.
Cons:
I always face the difficult situation of remember in which place I can find the different functionalities, besides, the paid third parties plugins are very expensive.

A Comprehensive, Feature-Rich E-commerce Solution
Comments: In conclusion, despite minute cons, WooCommerce's customizable, scalable, and user-friendly nature, along with its extensive support and affordability, make it an amazing choice for anyone looking to venture into the world of e-commerce.
Pros:
As someone who has dabbled in e-commerce platforms, I can confidently say that WooCommerce is truly an amazing solution for businesses of all sizes. Here's why:• Customization Galore: WooCommerce seamlessly integrates with WordPress, allowing users to create a fully customizable online store. With a vast array of themes, plugins, and extensions available, you can tailor your store to your exact needs and preferences.• Scalability: WooCommerce can handle anything from a small boutique to a large-scale online marketplace. As your business grows, the platform scales effortlessly alongside, ensuring you never outgrow its capabilities.• User-Friendly Interface: Even if you're new to e-commerce, WooCommerce's intuitive interface makes it easy to navigate and manage your store. The platform is designed for simplicity, yet still offers advanced features for those who need them.• Extensive Documentation and Community Support: WooCommerce boasts a massive community of developers and users, providing extensive documentation, tutorials, and support forums. With a wealth of resources at your fingertips, you'll never feel lost or alone in your e-commerce journey.• Affordability: WooCommerce's core plugin is free, and the platform offers many affordable add-ons to extend functionality. This makes it a cost-effective choice for businesses just starting out or those looking to minimize expenses.
Cons:
• Dependency on WordPress: WooCommerce is built specifically for WordPress, which means you'll need to use this CMS to utilize the platform. For those who prefer a different CMS or a standalone e-commerce solution, this could be a drawback.• Learning Curve: Although WooCommerce is designed to be user-friendly, it does have a learning curve, particularly for users who are new to WordPress or web development. The vast array of customization options and features might feel overwhelming initially.• Extension Costs: While the core WooCommerce plugin is free, adding extra functionality often requires purchasing premium extensions. Depending on the desired features, these costs can add up and may impact the overall affordability of the platform.• Limited Built-In Features: WooCommerce's basic setup focuses on providing core e-commerce functionality. For advanced features such as memberships, subscriptions, or booking systems, you will need to rely on additional plugins and extensions.• Potential Performance Issues: Running a WooCommerce store with many plugins and extensions could lead to performance issues if not properly optimized. Site speed and performance are critical for a successful e-commerce store, so it's essential to monitor and address any issues that arise.

E-Commerce for all!
Pros:
WooCommerce is a powerful and flexible e-commerce platform that allows you to create and manage your online store with ease. What I liked most about WooCommerce was its integration with WordPress, which gave me access to thousands of themes and plugins to customize my site. I also appreciated the security and reliability of WooCommerce, as well as the support and documentation available for users.
Cons:
One of the drawbacks of WooCommerce is that it can be difficult to customize and optimize for different types of products and services. WooCommerce relies heavily on plugins and extensions to add functionality and features, but these can sometimes conflict with each other or cause compatibility issues with the WordPress theme or other plugins. Additionally, WooCommerce can be slow and resource-intensive if not configured properly, which can affect the performance and user experience of the online store.

Still great!
Pros:
WooCommerce does everything we need, and does it better than a lot of other platforms. We have both digital and physical goods, and we're able to set them up as variables of the same product, with all of the proper tax & shipping for each variable. We can also set it with neither variation being pre-selected, so the customer has to choose one. This helps us almost all people buying the wrong version.
Cons:
Honestly there's not much about woo to dislike! If something is lacking, there's probably a plug-in for it!

Great e-commerce tool --- unfortunately it is on Wordpress
Comments: I have several Woocommerce stores and deal with many others that are owned and run by other people. I have good experiences with it, it is a high-quality product and even if it is not perfect, it is light-years ahead of many competitors.
Pros:
It is free but still offers all necessary functionalities to start and run an online store. It is easy to use and there are a lot of extra functionalities available, some paid, some free.
Cons:
The biggest dislike I have is that it runs on WordPress. It is very unfortunate, but we must live with it. Another dislike is that some of the 3rd party functionalities are very expensive compared to what they offer. The pricing is the same for a tiny new store and a well-established big online giant. I would rather see some other kind of pricing models for some of the plugins, but...

WooCommerce - Great system! Not perfect! But is anything really perfect?
Comments: I personally believe the 'pros' outweigh the 'cons' when considering WooCommerce as an E-commerce platform. I've built multiple sites using WooCommerce that would have $cost tens of thousands of dollars had a Developer been required to code all of these functions. My advice would always be - find a high quality / low-cost Developer (using one of the online labour aggregator sites e.g. Upwork) who has a wealth of recent WooCommerce experience (particularly with the functionality you are looking to achieve) and accept that not everything will work perfectly (or even be compatible) straight 'out of the box'. At the end of the day, if you priced all of the code that has been contributed to make WooCommerce what it is today - it would probably cost $billions to rebuild. So the next time you're criticising 'free' - remember that nothing is ever free.
Pros:
There are too many pro's to mention with WooCommerce, but i love the fact that it is Open Source which ensures thousands of plugins are available to extend the functionality of WooCommerce. And this is Woocommerce's biggest strength - It can quite feasibly allow a micro-size company to operate like an Enterprise (e-biz), including building end-to-end workflow automation across an entire business operation. Remarkably, this business panacea (end-2-end) can conceivably be achieved free of charge, or for only a few hundred dollars (plus A LOT of Developer and Administrator time).
Cons:
WooCommerce doesn't come without Con's, and it's vitally important to recognise them. The main 'con' for me is the fact that because you have an 'infrastructure' that allows you to 'act' like an Enterprise - the temptation is to do so. This is where cost, resources, licences, etc can start to rack up. WooCommerce DOES NOT provide everything out of the box, but rather through a series of Modules (1st & 3rd party) that come at a cost. If you purchase from WooCommerce (Automattic) you pay a premium for each module (but you get support). If you purchase from 3rd party devs you typically pay a lower cost for the module (but the support is often questionable, as are the 'upgrades', 'compatibility roadmap', etc). So, although WooCommerce is an incredible toolset for building an Enterprise-style e-commerce platform, it is not always plain sailing.

C&U review of Woocommerce
Comments: Positive. Would recommend to anyone.
Pros:
Easy integration with plugins and other platforms. Inventory tracking. Order management. Refunds. Shipment tracking numbers.
Cons:
Shipping profiles and actual cost of shipping rates. I find that the actual shipping rates will differ from what the customer pays to what we end up paying for a label. And in particular, international shipping costs are only available as a flat rate, and do not calculate an accurate cost. Making the difference between shipping from US to Canada the same as shipping from US to Europe.

A valuable tool for anyone looking to grow their online business.
Comments: I've been using WooCommerce to develop e-commerce websites for my clients, and it has been an absolute game-changer! Not only was it easy to install and integrate into my clients' sites, but it also provided a seamless and user-friendly shopping experience for their customers.
Pros:
Thanks to Wordpress and WooCommerce's customization options, I was able to tailor each website to my clients' unique needs and branding, which helped them increase their overall sales and revenue. Plus, the platform's ability to handle multiple payment gateways like Stripe, Paypal, you name it, made transactions a breeze for both my clients and their customers.Overall, I highly recommend Wordpress and WooCommerce to any developer or business owner looking to take their e-commerce game to the next level. Its robust features, reliable performance, and easy integration make it a valuable tool for anyone looking to grow their online business.
Cons:
While WooCommerce is an excellent plugin for building ecommerce websites, there is one drawback that I've noticed. Occasionally, the platform may require some paid/additional customization to achieve certain functionalities that some of my clients were looking for. However, this can easily be resolved by us developing certain features or by exploring the extensive library of plugins.

Decent Depending on What You Need it For
Comments: It's great for small shops. It works best for simple things, especially affiliate products. Can be cumbersome for growing shops. You need at least some Wordpress experience. Requires a decent amount of maintenance. Overall, I'd give it a 3 out 5 stars.
Pros:
Woocommerce is a really inexpensive way to get started with ecommerce. It's great if you're just starting out and on a tight budget since it is a free plugin. It also depends what you're using Woocommerce for. It works the best for affiliate products.
Cons:
Although Woocommerce is free, it does help to have some knowledge of Wordpress and basic development skills to effectively use it. Otherwise, using a paid ecommerce software is much easier. I've used Woocommerce for years and it can become very heavy and cumbersome with the more products you add. It's gotten a lot better over the years, but the functionality can still be tricky and you need to install a lot of plugins to customize it to your various needs. Code, plugins, Wordpress, etc., can also easily break your site from updates and conflicts. There's a lot of maintenance that goes into a Wordpress site and that's maximized with Woocommerce. I find other ecommerce software to be much easier to use and be less of a headache, especially for a beginner.

WooCommerce: The Go-To Platform for Online Selling
Comments: I have observed that it offers a user-friendly interface and robust order management system, allowing businesses to manage their online store and fulfill orders efficiently. The platform also provides strong security measures to protect customer data and supports a wide range of payment and shipping options. Additionally, WooCommerce's flexibility and scalability make it an ideal solution for businesses looking to customize and expand their online store over time. Its extensive library of plugins and themes provides further opportunities for businesses to enhance their online shopping experience and improve their marketing efforts. Overall, WooCommerce is a versatile and effective eCommerce platform that can help businesses succeed in the competitive online marketplace.
Pros:
WooCommerce software that make it a popular and effective eCommerce platform. Some of the key features include its flexibility and scalability, allowing businesses to customize and grow their online store over time. The platform is also easy to use and manage, with a user-friendly interface and a wide range of plugins and themes to choose from. WooCommerce offers strong security measures to protect customer data and a robust order management system that streamlines the order fulfillment process. Additionally, its mobile access feature allows store owners to manage their business from anywhere, while its third-party integrations enable businesses to extend the platform's functionality even further.
Cons:
while WooCommerce offers a wide range of plugins and themes, some users may find that they need to purchase additional extensions to access certain features. These are a few potential areas where some users may face challenges or limitations with the software.

An excellent choice for newbies
Comments: Overall I have and continue to use this software on some of my websites as well some for my clients. It has been a great addition since having an eCommerce platform on a website without having to purchase additional software is fantastic. Since the free version of WooCommerce is pretty much all you need to get started. It is usually the additional functionality for extra features is what requires the add ins and or additional plugins.
Pros:
This software for WordPress sites to create an eCommerce store is great for newbies and the free version comes with enough features to create a pretty robust store. There are however other integrations required to take the store to another level. This may be things like being able to create a wish-list, add dropshiping products or simply have a popup cart. The point is all of this can be done with additional plugins that are free to use with WooCommerce free version, you can have a great looking eCommerce site that looks and runs very efficiently without spending a ton of money to get started. Being able to integrate drop shipping allows you to have a full store without spending any money on your inventory and without having to incur monthly costs for having the site.
Cons:
Some of their best features require add ins that can get to be very expensive when you start looking at all the great features they can add to your store. There are other free and paid options but as with most software, it is better to use the ones built by the software makers rather than ones created by others. Simply put, sometimes basic updates can create conflicts between the software on your site and leave you puzzled with why your site is not working the way it was. This can get to be an issue if you are new to the game and don't know how to troubleshoot your website issues.

WooCommerce: Not the easiest to setup, but by far the most customizable
Comments: Before implementing WooCommerce, we were always "making do" with the solutions that other platforms would offer. A lot of times this felt that we were not only rationalizing/making excuses for those platforms' limitations, but we were overall just settling for a less than ideal fix. WooCommerce has allowed us to offer the complete online shopping experience that we've been striving to deliver to our clients.
Pros:
After having used many other eCommerce platforms in the past (Square, Shopify, Wix etc...), I am left blown away by how completely customizable WooCommerce is. There is literally nothing that can not be done with this software - it's just a matter of figuring out how to get there. You want different shipping tables based on user IP location? No problem. Looking to have suggested items displayed depending on the purchase order? You got it! The one downside to WooCommerce is figuring out how to correctly dial in the settings to achieve the desired result. This can take a bit of time, but luckily WooCommerce's documentation and online tutorials are extremely helpful and plentiful. After having experienced the limitations of many other eCom "solutions" it truly is refreshing to have an option as robust as WooCommerce.
Cons:
As I mentioned above, dialing in the correct settings can be a bit laborious, but if you are patient and willing to do a little bit of research, there really is no limitation to what you can build.

Best eCommerce for WordPress hands-down, but prepare to pay for most customizations
Pros:
When it comes to choosing the right eCommerce platform for WordPress, it's the most rock-solid, safest choice for any long term use based on my experience from over a dozen store launches. - The plugin is frequently updated, compatible and tightly integrated with WordPress (as WooCommerce was purchased by WordPress' parent company in 2015) - The core WooCommerce plugin is freely available to install, which would work for many small, generic storefronts. - Offers the largest selection of third-party plugins/extensions available for WordPress ecommerce. - Wide out-of-the-box support with popular third-party WordPress themes. - Relatively easy and fast to set up, with good documentation; offers a few free starter themes via the WooCommerce store. - If you're willing to pay, WooCommerce can do just about anything and integrates with almost anything. - The WooCommerce core plugin is built mostly barebones (using extensions to add functionality), which brings better speed and less bugs. - Good customer service support and detailed documentation for their paid WooCommerce add-on extensions. - Offers very powerful Zapier support (requires a paid add-on). I've never had any point where I've considered using another online store platform with WordPress, or even one of the many non-WordPress hosted ecommerce website subscription solutions.
Cons:
- WooCommerce extensions are surprisingly expensive and also subscription-based, requiring an annual fee. Inexpensive third-party alternatives exist, but there is risk involved. - Building an extended "platform" such as a membership site / offering subscriptions (for example) can require multiple paid WooCommerce add-ons that rack up hundreds of dollars in annual fees. - WooCommerce mobile app tools do exist, but do not offer much functionality beyond sales reports. - Highly customized WordPress stores using a lot of plugins are at an increased risk to see major conflicts and performance degradation, and troubleshooting can be difficult.

The best E-Commerce Platform with Some Drawbacks
Comments: WooCommerce is an excellent e-commerce platform that allows you to easily set up an online store and start selling your products. With a wide range of features, integrations, and customization options, it's no wonder that WooCommerce is one of the most popular e-commerce solutions available.
Pros:
WooCommerce is a powerful e-commerce plugin that seamlessly integrates with WordPress to help users set up and manage online stores quickly and easily. It's an excellent option for small businesses that can't afford a complex e-commerce platform and want to create a custom web store. With WooCommerce, you can build a free WordPress website and have full ownership of your entire site. The plugin also provides a user-friendly interface and a wide range of add-ons to improve your store's functionality and features, such as payment systems integration, filtering options, and cryptocurrency payment plugins. In addition, the WooCommerce community is active and supportive, providing valuable resources to help users complete tasks with ease.
Cons:
Despite its many advantages, WooCommerce is not without its flaws. The most cons that I have noticed with my +2 years of using Woocommerce, One common issue is that the platform has many external extensions that are poorly coded and can cause bloat, which may result in website crashes. Another problem is that WooCommerce is a heavy plugin that can significantly increase the load time of your website. This means that updates must be vetted in a test environment before going live, which can be time-consuming and disruptive for store owners. Additionally, some essential functionalities like one-page checkouts and quantity discounts require purchasing additional plugins, which can add to the overall cost and slow down your website. Finally, some third-party functionalities can be expensive, and the pricing model is the same for small and large businesses, which may not be the most cost-effective option for all users.
