Why I like Moovit better than Google Maps

Comments: Moovit is very useful for small, frequent travel within the city within a big city when understanding the context you are in is important.

Pros:

I like the "lines" feature. I think Moovit is better for locals than Google Maps. Moovit allows you to see the lines on the map without creating a query for a specific route. Sometimes locals can understand better the context of lines than the actual software.

Cons:

It is community driven and sometimes it is not accurate or inexistent in smaller cities where the community is not strong enough.

A great solution for medium-to-big cities "official"alternatives

Comments: I've been using Moovit for quite a few years. I live in Bucharest, Romania, and administrative tech is not a priority in my country. Moovit has been a life saver in terms of public transport. It's much more reliable than Google Maps and it gets the job done in a user friendly manner. I enjoy the GUI and the overall app experience.

Pros:

It really filled a void in my life. Public transport isn't very punctual in my city/country and Google Maps somehow never got it right when I started using Moovit (this may have changed in the years that passed, I have no idea, I haven't looked back and only use Google Maps for driving). I love the look & feel of the app, it feels natively friendly. I also love the itinerary flexibility, it really builds on real life behaviour when you change your mind on the go.

Cons:

It's not available offline. It seems easily obtainable and a huge gain for people with limited data plans than need to refresh their itinerary on the go.

Terrible app

Pros:

it gives bus timetables and thats about it

Cons:

this is an awful app, the information is never correct, the GUI is clunky and not very user friendly. I have many times opened tickets and nothing has ever been done about it!!

Mostly dependable

Comments: Overall this is an amazing app and it has helped me become familiar with my city when i first moved here and helps me everyday so i never miss my ride

I love that it has live time tracking featue I also love that it picks the best routes for you so you dont have to figure out which buses you need to pick I also love that it tells you how many stops are left before you need to gwt off

Cons:

The fact that sometimes the live time tracking doesnt work It kills your battery

Never Fails

Comments: We use it once or twice a week and have referred our neighbors to it. Many of them use it daily and love it.

Pros:

This is the easiest way to figure out how to get somewhere. It gives you options (I live near bus and train lines) for getting there. The times are almost always within a minute or two.

Cons:

There are no cons. It is easy to use and makes commutes easier.

Quick and easy to use

Comments: I’ve traveled far with it and it stuck with its word. With the live feature, you can travel with the app and it notifies when to get off your stop prior so if you’re zoning out or listening to music, it’ll remind you.

Pros:

Quick results with the easiest route whether it’s train, bus, bicycle, etc. Also does seven days in advance to plan ahead.

Cons:

Only problem I had, I was running late and typed in the time. Even though I knew there’s a bus in two minutes I wanted to know the route and it only showed the next bus in half an hour. Thankfully I knew the route!

Moovit in a really useful app

Pros:

The precision of the informations about the bus lines.

Cons:

I don't really have anything to complain

I like Moovit a lot, because it gives us the right forecast for me to use public transportation.

Comments: I use it every day and recommend it to everyone who needs public transportation.

Pros:

For the efficiency in showing the correct times and destinations of the buses and their routes.

Cons:

That sometimes the buses are late and the application doesn't show it.

Moovit: for people that need help to use public transportation.

Comments: In my city (São Paulo) the app works very well when I'm trying out the best subway routes.

Pros:

It's so easy to use. All you need to do is put a destination and the app will calculate the route. After this, you choose the one you prefer to take.

Cons:

I had a bad experience with this app when I got a bus. The schedule is not accurate and It usually doesn’t get the arrival times right. This needs to be fixed.

It's a great, very easy to use app

Pros:

I like that it has a lot of location in one place, so I don't need to look for "local" app - I can just have one and it will cover many of my travel destitantion.

Cons:

Sometimes it lags and the schedules might not be exatcly the most up to date.

This is a MUST have app for anyone using public transportation

Comments: Fantastic, there is no better solution for anyone who needs to get from point a to point b and doesn't have a car.

Pros:

Where to being? The bus schedules and arrivals are almost always accurate. You can literally go from anywhere to anywhere else without having to plan ahead of time and figure out where to get off and get on. Because they have all the information of all the busses they can literally get you within a 5 minute walk frmo anywhere you want to go.

Cons:

There are none. I recommend this to everyone who has a use for it. It gives you independence and freedom of movement and absolute control of where you're going even when you've never been there before.

Best APP to use alternative paths.

Pros:

Because in this application you will always look for paths from different company regions and with punctual and updated schedules.

Cons:

This app still has only a few city options depending on the country and doesn't have a bike route option.

Move with Moovit MaaS

Comments: I have used Moovit a few times, the app also has alarms that remind you of your arrival location, that has helped me for not to lose myself (oops'). It is free software that everyone can use.

Pros:

Moovit is easy to use. It helps us to travel by bus in the city. If you are a tourist or new to town, it will be essential. Moovit has an app and a website with maps, bus routes, and travel schedules. Show options for how to get to a site.

Cons:

Not all bus routes that Moovit show are current, as their travel schedules (in Mexico)

It can take you anywhere!

Comments: Recently another app I was using for years stopped supporting the public transport in my country and after hearing a lot of positive feedback for Moovit, I got the app. Since my work involved a lot of travel in different cities, having an up to date route suggestion is really valuable to me. I don't have to spend time in advance to my trips to prepare for the different city public transport schemes - I can just figure it out on the go with Moovit. So far it has been very reliable and accurate and I will most definitely continue to use it.

Pros:

I love how flexible the routes are and they always keep updating according to your location, so it's almost impossible to miss your stop.

Cons:

It can't work offline. Sometimes my internet connection is really slow in the end of the month and it takes a toll on the app - the routes can take a very long time to load and it can cause some stressful situations.

Great to find bus routes

Comments: Transportation for the employees of the company.

Pros:

Practical to use, I only needed a few seconds to find what I was looking for.

Cons:

The results are unclear sometimes. Some routes were overlapping in the screen.

Very very useful

Pros:

It gives me which transportation i should use to get a destination quickly. It's good for new places like travel.

Cons:

So far, I don't find any negative points.

Pros:

molto semplice da utilizzare, rispetta i tempi reali degli autobus (cosa che non ho riscontrato con maps) ed è un aspetto fondamentale da tenere in considerazione se si ha un cambio da fare.

Cons:

mi è capitato un paio di volte che gli autobus riportati dall'app non potevano essere presi dal punto in cui mi trovavo semplicemente perchè non erano autobus che potevano fermarsi li.

Veramente ottimo

Pros:

Facile da usare, rileva tutti i bus e i mezzi in tempo reale, calcola il percorso più semplice. Anche a Roma

Cons:

La pubblicità non è sempre piacevole e blocca la ricerca percorso.

Non uscire di casa senza Moovit!

Comments: Più volte si è rivelata essenziale per spostarmi con i mezzi pubblici, mi ha fatto risparmiare molto tempo e ha velocizzata la mia capacità decisionale.

Pros:

Essenziale per comprendere come spostarsi con i mezzi pubblici, l'app è chiara, precisa e facile da usare

Cons:

è vincolata all'area geografica, bisogna indicare sempre la città di interesse, su questo non è intuitiva ma almeno è automatica.
