Comments: My overall Experience has been really amazing . Can't tell you how much I am addicted to this tool . It just makes my day every time I open a file on this . The classic UI also is one of the main reasons for me to still be using this after so many years !

Pros:

As an IT Organization individual, Notepad++ is assisting me increasingly more with the everyday work. Some things which I like the most are, 1. The Notepad++ reserve keeps numerous pages dynamic regardless of whether I neglected to save and close it. 2. Notepad++ shows the progression of the content/program, which assists with forestalling committing errors. 3. Bunch arrangement and arranging are more helpful in any event, while working in Succeed. Duplicate to Notepad++ and do it without any problem. 4. It provides additional features such as checksum generation, ascii to hex and vice versa conversions which are very handy for developers.

Cons:

The main issue with Notepad++ is that it does not support MacOS . Also , I noticed that Notepad++ struggles with big binary files. It might get slower, or messier when dealing with those .

Comments: Using NP++ regularly to quickly view code, XML and logfiles it's one of the tools I install on all my PCs

Notepad++ review

Comments: Okay okay. I will only use if i want to take notes or my task is very simple like writing a java file or something. But for complex task not useful.

Pros:

Notepad ++ is better version of classic notepad. The ui is far better that that, whenever we write code number is displayed so it makes easier to read the code, debug the code by checking the line numbers. It highlights the start and end brackets making it easy.

Cons:

It is better than classic notepad but it lags behind various new editors like vscode and many more. It does not support extension/integration like vscode . It is useful if we only want to take note of anything or else we have something to run locally. But still it lags behind lots of things.. as from developer perspective we require other tools as well simply using this tool will not work. Even new tools gives recommendations while writing code

One of the finest text editors

Comments: Notepad++ is far superior to Windows Notepad. It's one of the first things I install on a new PC.

Pros:

Fast, handles very large files, understands and color-codes lots of file formats. Plug-in support adds a lot of functionality.

Cons:

Toolbar icons are a bit plain. Skin support would be nice.

I like that it has it all! for all types of languages, all types of typing and as a notepad is the best, I only can wish for a better one or this one improved as assisted with AI but there could not nothing more I could ask for a good notepad

really? nothing ...is the best there and is not what I least liked but but I see as improving and I think the only improvement will be the version as with AI and new one's. Maybe the least I like is that they don't have this new versions much but what's for? So enjoy Notepad++

Notepad++ is an A+ for Text Editing

Comments: Notepad++ is very fast, easy to work on, and keeps everything simply yet feature rich. Many editors do either too much or too little, Notepad++ does the correct combination of it all, and customizable enough to fix anything to most users' liking.

Pros:

The simple interface, working formatter, syntax highlighter, and out-of-the-box support for pretty much every language I'm aware of.

Cons:

I wish there was a native Vim bind, but there are multiple fully featured community plugins available.

A good choice when moving for a powerful text editor for the first time

Comments: It was a very good transition tool while moving on from the Windows Notepad application, it allowed me to get used to some more powerful features while not changing too much of the UX.

Pros:

Best Light Weight Text Editor

Pros:

I use notepad ++ every day for my taking notes. UI is pretty and very simple for all user. Useful feature for me is automatic save when we close the software. I can chage the font size, theme colors and import coding. The best thing is that it is free. And then search and replace files make me enjoy. For devloper, it includes many useful features like code import, scripting, HTML,CSS,etc...

Cons:

There is nothing. I enjoy to use notepad ++. It is very useful function, features than microsoft notepad.

Comments: I typically use Notepad++ for all kinds of small text-related use cases. Formatting texts or replacing strings in text (even with newlines or returns), I can copy a code snippet - e.g., from an online documentation - and it filters out all the ugly HTML stuff. Hence, I can copy it into a Word document or other notekeeper. I also like using it as an extended clipboard with scripting work. It's just mocking and pasting - no attempts to correct any spelling mistakes that aren't there or trying to apply upper-case/lower-case rules. I would not use it for full programming or software development. It lacks a few features and functions of professional IDEs - but that's not necessarily the main purpose of that tool anyway.

Pros:

It's a small app with lots of features. It stayed consistent with the UI over the last 15 years, making it easy for me to use. The UI may be a bit old-school, but clean and easy to understand. It's available for all kinds of operating systems and even as a portable app! I can't complain about performance; it runs stable - I have never had a crash or outage since using Notepad++. It also maintains the last status, so I can shut my laptop down without losing unsaved work. I love that it is multi-tabbed and not a single large board (e.g., compared to tools such as Miro - they have a different focus).And all of that for free!

Cons:

Plugins are sometimes a bit tricky to install. But once you get the pattern, it's easy. Remembering keyboard shortcuts for the new features is the biggest hurdle, but that's not on Notepad++.

Best source code management tool for Beginners

Comments: I am using 1 to 2 Years Notepad++ for from the beginning learning point. Because here you can able to run every task one by one So, you no need to change the new files and it' run in completely web so need space n your laptop.

Pros:

Notepad++ very simple to use and easy to authenticate. This code editor completely suitable for beginner. Because here you can able to run very set of code separately. this is very perfect editor for all programming language is specially Python.

Cons:

It's not comfortable for expert developer it's only suitable for beginners. Source code management is little bit hard.

A classic that still works

Pros:

Notepad++ is always evolving, and that is what I like the most. It has a great nostalgic community but also it is not lacking functionalities. Even there are some plugins that are specific for Notepad++ and can not be found for other platforms.

Cons:

I am a true nostalgic and I love Notepad++, maybe I could complain about the update system, that could be improved.

One Stop Shop for simple text editing

Comments: Once I learned about this, it became my go-to austere text editing program for those times when I just want something simple without being drowned in features. The features are no more than *knee* deep, and they're useful. I use it to edit and write quick JavaScript, php, html, config files, and occasionally C# -- it can parse and color code all of them. I also use it to write random notes to myself. It does have a feature to run some kinds of code, but I've never used it for that, as it's more practical for me to use Visual Studio for my Unity code -- VS has more accurate tab completion suggestions, among other things, and it's more naturally attuned to Unity. Overall, if you're looking for something just a little bit cooler than the bare bones Notepad program and you're a Windows user, this is your tool.

Great Product That’s Free

Pros:

This is a great application to be free. For my use, it’s mostly mild coding and a lot of note-taking. The way it can color-code text based on the type of code and script and do mass editing is really helpful.

Cons:

Gets a little complicated in the settings part, but I don’t mind it too much.

Portable apps

Pros:

This application is light and small size and that's why I like it most. I can easily use it different devices. Mostly I use it for HTML code writing.

Cons:

Add some more features can be made it better.

Its the best tool to clean your junk of codes. Code modification will be easy for the technical to do for small changes

Comments: I use NPP for developing applications in PHP, Perl, Python, Javascript. Also I use it for processing some text data, comparing files, etc.

Pros:

Mostly I like code highlighting, themes, auto backups, plugins, performance, ability to work with huge files, flexible search/replace with regex support.

Cons:

Some plugins don't have 64-bit version. NPP is not full replacement of IDE, it has no advanced debug features, but for scripting languages is has all that I need.

Comments: Overall its very good experience using this tool. It help in development as well as managing text files.

Its very helpful tool. It help me to write code of javascript, Html, css, Json and many more languages and provide format also as epr language which is good. And one more good thing is it store all files data even if we don't save that file. And we can install many plugin as per our need.

Cons:

Comparing text with this tool it bit difficult. If we open lots of files then it slow down and some time Stop responding.
