Ideal of gift card side business

Comments: Overall experience was very easy, refund and discount policy made simple with square payment's gift card.

Pros:

I loved Square Payments because it's very simple and straight forward to setup the online Gift card shop. They also offer hard card for in-person usage at your kiosks and payment centers. This is very useful for small businesses to offer complimentary give-back items to attendees, participants and volunteers.

Cons:

No cons as such, but need top make upfront payment for physical cards :)

Comments: Square payment is secure and fast, making it very easy to receive payments. Also, it is linked with many accounting tools

Pros:

It is really quite simple and is very easy to set up, especially with all the other accounting tools that are available to it

Cons:

I have to say that the fees are rather high and can grow up quickly enough based on the volume

Massive Incompetence

Comments: God awful and excessively costly with their constant service fallovers and enabling thieves to steal from you.

Pros:

Nothing, they have no accountability, no decency, and no competency whatsoever. Fools and clowns.

Cons:

Fraudulent chargeback by a mentally challenged thief that posted photos of his received good publicly. Provided that to Square to appeal the illegal chargeback, and they failed! It couldn't have been easier to win, yet they force you to let them respond on your behalf and screw it up majorly, then refuse to identify the thief so you can fix it in civil court. Disgusting incompetence with no accountability. Don't end up stuck with them like me because of hardware investments, they are beyond awful and will lose your money time and time again.

Square Payments is easy to set up and allows you to capture payment multiple ways!

Comments: We've used Square Payments for the last 4 years and during that time, Square has made a ton of updates that improve the software. For example, we've used their Payment Link option to collect payment from clients retroactively in situations where their card was declined or the wifi was down at the time of service.

Pros:

Square Payments is easy to set up and begin accepting payments for small businesses. It has integration with our accounting software so we can easily categorize payments as they occur and offers great features like transaction reports to stay on top of your money.

Cons:

Square payments does take a fee for each transaction but that is the norm.

Square Payments: Good option for small bussiness

Comments: My overall experience with square payments is a great because it is good option for small size business

Pros:

There is no subscription required for basic uses

Cons:

Support is not available for 24/7 and with this sometimes difficult to contact

I like how easy it is to use and be able to use at market places when you are not around to connect devices

What I like the least was the fees to process payments

Pros:

It’s extremely easy to set up and use if you need just a simple payments system.

Cons:

I wish the app could automatically detect location to remind you when you may need to update your sales tax settings.

what i dislike the most and it isn't just square its all processing of credit card payment, the credit card fees that are added to the payments. I understand it but it also sometimes delays payments because most people do not want to pay the fees so they want to have me come back to either get a check or cash or even sometimes say they will just do an ach to avoid the fees

Square payments is still an exceptional option

Comments: I've had a positive experience overall. Whether you are taking payments in person or creating po's, square payments is a viable resource.

Pros:

I like that you can take payment in a variety of ways including creating invoices.

Cons:

Payment dashboard can be a little hard to find at first.

The convenience of using Square

Comments: My overall experience has been great, except for a few hang ups and glitches. I had been worth using for my business, and it works great for my companies needs.

Pros:

I like the ease of setting up on the go I safety features that Square offers I like that I don't have to just have a stationary POS. I can take it on the go.

Cons:

The one thing I dislike is the time it takes for my funds to become available for use or transferring to my bank account. Sometimes I can transfer to my bank account and sometimes I have to wait 24 hours to transfer my funds.

Alternatives Considered: Stripe

Reasons for Switching to Square Payments: Stripe was to complex to try to explain to my co-workers. And is costs more to use monthly.

Square makes payments simple!

Comments: It makes accepting payments from customers so much simpler. No more checks or long invoices when you use this product.

Pros:

I like that you can take the portable device anywhere and accept payments. Not many people carry checks anymore!

Cons:

The price for the device was a little costly but worth it when you utilize it frequently.

Square Payments - Great Software

Comments: Very happy with them, would definitely recommend them to other small businesses. They are affordable, user friendly, and side with their customer (the business).

Pros:

I love this software! We have continued to still use it for payments even after getting a new CRM software.

Cons:

Nothing, it is very user friendly and they even side with you on disputes if you have all the information available to prove your claim.

Dependable and Small Business Friendly

Comments: We previously used a bank recommended service and found the cost prohibitive. With Square we only pay when we use the service. Never fails and never a late transfer of funds.

Pros:

Take a payment anywhere, anytime and the ability to send a "payment requested" link on overdue accounts.

Cons:

Not all services are available in Canada, yet.

Square works good for cards

Comments: Overall it helps when someone wants to use their credit card to pay. When they have cash app or Zelle or Venmo I prefer to use those due to the fees.

Pros:

Ease of invoicing and payment options! Can easily connect with cash app.

Cons:

The transaction charges are tough to swallow When one can use cash app it is best to just have them do that or Zelle or Venmo.

Five stars for Square Payments

Comments: Overall it’s a great choice whether selling just a few items or a larger inventory of products. It’s quick and easy to use, which is a huge plus on a busy day.

Pros:

Square is so user friendly. It’s easy to create or add products, and I can access it via laptop, iPad or on my phone. People who have never used it before have been able to step in and learn how to easily navigate it in order to run our merch booth. I also like that there is an option to send invoices.

Cons:

Nothing at this time! I’ve recommended Square payments to others looking for a safe and efficient way to capture payments across several different applications (churches, small businesses).

Best card reader and online payment processing!

Comments: I have used it for years and love it! It has the easiest interface and all of my friends use it!

Pros:

The ease of use plus ITS free other than fees.

Cons:

It costs money to send emails... It would be better if we got at least one email per month for all of our clients.

Simple and easy

Comments: When you run a small business, Square could be almost the best solution. It is simple, easy and nothing to worry about it. However, if you want to go a little bit deep, it causes problems. For example, if you accept a large payment (maybe more than $1,000) through code that you create inside Square website, it will ask you to provide documents. Bothering.... and it freezes the payment asking you to refund to the customer.

Pros:

Easy and stable to use and things like taxes are treated inside Square.

Cons:

Too high fees to accept payments. Freezing of payments for a little bit large amount like $1,000.

Square was so Simple to learn

Pros:

I love that I was able to figure out Square Payments the first day. The simplicity of Square made it Second to none! I can go anywhere and accept a credit card payment with a tiny card processor. The accessories are priceless!

Cons:

Some times I do forget my card reader I hope they make a phone backup soon!

User Friendly

Comments: Square payment works cohesively with other Square products.

Along with Square's other products...Ease of use.

Square payments makes my life much easier. It always remembers me and I have to put in the bare minimum information for it to autogenerate everything I need. Paying with square is so easy.

Square is the new Diamond

Comments: Square helped our non-profit became self-sufficient and collect money in advance.

Pros:

We use square to handle concession sales and online donations as well as tuition fees. The system works great and we upgraded t the Point of Purchase equipment which made the ease of use so much better and error free.

Cons:

Before we switched to the Pint of Sale hardware, every volunteer needed to upload the app to their phone and have a card slider. Now we can have one central unit for all to use.

Square is a great option for mobile events.

Comments: I've used square for several years now. It has greatly improved over the years and has made it easy to use in a mobile capacity.

Pros:

I like the ability to be mobile and use it while at events. I like the ease of use now that it allows for tap to pay. I was able to integrate it for my shopping cart on my website.

Cons:

You need a strong wifi or cellular connection in order for it to work properly. It's hard to have multiple users at once, you have to constantly verify the log in.

Easy to navigate, portable, cheaper processing rates compared to other POS systems.

Processing fees could be better, but still cheaper than most POS systems.
