An excellent and simple app to manage inventory.

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Overall, I'm extremely happy with the software. Its created efficiency within my business and has saved me a lot of money on part runs for items that we already had in inventory. I would highly recommend this software.

Pros:

What I like most about the app is how simple it is to use and categorize product. As a small business owner, I was having a tough time trying to find an inventory program that fit out business needs. Once I found Sortly Pro, it streamlined our business and created efficiencies company wide.

Cons:

The only negative I have experienced is with the lack of instant notifications. I wish it notified the administrator or owner when specific items are pulled from inventory. A suggestion would be to include this as an option when entering inventory into the system.

Sortly for inventory managment

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: I like it. It is not our main inventory tracker but has allowed us to integrate with what we are doing so we do not lose all information if someone accidentally deletes an excel or Google doc file.

Pros:

I love how we are able to track our products and inventory for our additional warehouse. It gives us visibility although it is not staffed 24/7.

Cons:

We track a lot with expiration dates. While we can add this feature into the programming, it is tougher to do when we have numerous cases of the same product with different expiration dates. Each group must be put in separately.

Useful for inventory identification and tracking

4.0 2 months ago New

Comments: In commercial construction for a flooring company, I use Sortly to catalog our overstock items available for our sales reps and walk-ins alike for easy and quick browsing. Photos, details, and quantities are nice to be able to offer and I can export records of everything or inside of set parameters (for example, rolled carpet over 75SF in the color brown) based on whatever information I entered about the product upon record creation. It has helped to keep these items easily viewable for those not located at this office and separate from our regularly inventoried products.

Pros:

Sortly's easy to acclimate to and fill with your products, mobile apps offer a smooth 1:1 experience paired with web based tools.

Cons:

UOM not having more options (SY) and having export pre-sets (i.e. field display settings for sharing exports with a customer or internally - with/without costs for example).

Absolutely no customer service

1.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Pictures. Would be relatively easy to use with Pugh all the glitches

Cons:

Have had nothing but problems with this program. It is very simple programming errors that they seem not to care about or address at all. Every time we have had issues, we try to call, but there is no number they just make you email. However I receive a response saying they will get back to us and then never respond from there. We are basically just communicating with a computer system with no human interaction. Problems we have: (1) website doesn’t communicate with app and is severely delayed. (2) Items don’t update when you edit them. For instance, I change a quantity on an item, press save, and it doesn’t update. Have to do that about ten times or more for it to register. Causes major problems. (3) when you move like items back into a folder, they don’t merge. So if you have 2 of the same item, move one over to a stage, and then move it back, it duplicates the item instead of merging back with the original. OVERALL LOTS OF PROBLEM AND ABSOLUTELY NO HELP ON BEHALF OF SORTLY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BASIC INVENTORY SYSTEM WITH LOTS OF GLITCHES, THIS IS FOR YOU!

Helpful inventory management app that could use some "tweaks"

4.0 3 months ago

Pros:

Sortly has made it extremely easy for me to track and order my inventory. I also appreciate the fact that their support team puts up with my many questions and responds in a timely manner. Very glad I started using Sortly!

Cons:

The only gripe I really have with Sortly is the lack of integration with UPC scanning and desktop versions. "quick actions" are only reachable through the mobile version which is our main way we send, move, sell and receive items. Having a bluetooth scanner hooked up VIA wired (not bluetooth) would be a great addition to this application ( i feel i have most issues due to a bluetooth connection/ bluetooth scanner..my remedy would be using a usb cord from my POS UPC scanner which works much better but since these features are only available on the mobile version, there is no place for me to plug the usb in and the app just does not accept it wired). Other than that, sortly has been great.

Great app/software

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: This has changed my job as manager of Inventory for an office space! It is so much easier to get things sorted when they can be counted in a flash, instead of having to use an excel spreadsheet.

Pros:

I love that we can assign our own barcodes or Sortly will make them up for us. Also, that anyone can use it through their own phone, so it negated the need for several additional physical items to keep track of.

Cons:

It was a bit expensive. Also, it took a learning curve to figure out that the imported items folder could be manipulated easiest. It would be nice if several functions could be saved in more detail with a pull down menu? For example, I use more shortcuts than the four allowed on the phone scanner.

Sortly, Inventory Management for every trade of businesses at accessible prices

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: It has help us get visibility from all departments around the world, manage and control better out spending and inventory. Makes work way easier to do without the paper waste, eliminates a lot of human error

Pros:

Helps me keep track of my inventory, the location of it and gives me alerts whenever an item is about to expire, this helps us to be compliant with OSHA and ahead of our game, preventing injuries and/or sanctions. We were unable to keep track in the past and pen and paper wasn't cutting it with the number of employees we currently have, Sortly made it so easy and accessible to all our managers all around the US. Price is way more accessible than most places that offer inventory services that starts in the thousands.

Cons:

It lacks instructional videos or easy access to assistance, sometimes you have to wait over 24 hrs for a response. Sortly has many uses and can be arrange in different ways depending on the kind of business you're running, you can add items, tools, equipment, personnel, vehicles, insurances, all kind of things, it should be hold back as an inventory tool only, seems you guys don't know what you created, and the potential it has to reach so many businesses. You should offer templates for startups, so we don't have to build from the ground up, seems you need to have a lot of time and creativity to get it going and to make it work.Report generating should be easier, sometime we run reports but we don't get the info we need, courses or videos abouty this sui

Great APP overall, but could use improved reporting tools

5.0 3 months ago

Pros:

Sortly is overall a great app. Easy to use and understand from creating folders, product and utilizing the barcode scanner to make things easier to locate. Custom fields is also an added bonus as we can customize fields relative to your company.

Cons:

It could use better reporting modules. The inventory management at ship station offers a better visual on our best moving products and gives us an inventory aging report as well.

Great platform, but still needs work

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: I am a home stager and after trying several other inventory platforms, Sortly Pro was my favorite. I am frustrated with some basic features that it lacks, but overall, it does what I need.

Pros:

I love that it is simple, user-friendly, and very ascetically easy to use.

Cons:

There have been several simple updates that I have requested to customer service. I think for a program specifically designed to track inventory, specifically inventory that moves from location to location or customer to customer, then all inventory should have a 'home' or 'original destination' file so that when it is done at a location or customer then you simply click 'home' and them item goes back to it's original file. For example, I have upwards of 20-30 items that go to a client at one time. When they get returned to my inventory, I have to manually send them back to their original folder one by one. Yes, I can do bulk move, but I have nearly 100 'original destination' folders because all my inventory is categorized in folders. So I have to move the sofas to the 'sofas' folder and the lamps to the 'lamps' folder etc. I would like to be able to 'bulk select' and 'move to home folder'. Also, the option to drag items from one folder to the menu on the left would also help expedite daily actions.

Sortly used in Construction Employee Incentive Program

4.0 last month New

Comments: I have had great experience with Sortly. I really need to take advantage of any webinars available to make sure I am using it to our best advantage.

Pros:

I really like Sortly because its easy to input items and quantities. I love that it sends notifications when low in a category. Its easy to access on computer or phone.

Cons:

There doesn't seem to be a wireless barcode scan system in/out with two users. Because we are using it in a small section of the business we only need two users....the chance of error when changing quantities bothers me. Allows for more user error versus just a scan in and scan out part of the program. It is really expensive subscription service for what we are using it for.

Great software for the price

5.0 3 months ago

Pros:

For the money it does a great job! Not all the bells and whistles or reporting etc of more expensive programs but great value for the money

Cons:

Wish the reporting was more advanced: ordering reports and use reports with more flexibility and receiving process to receive items against an order report and ability to move bulk received items from the report into inventory and items not received into a back order list with alerts if the item is on backorder and placed on an order

Sortly is everything we need.

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: It has been wonderful and made my work life so much easier. I'd recommend to anyone or company. Keep up the great work Sortly team!

Pros:

The ease of use and well thought out design. The Sortly team is constantly updating new features and actually listens to feedback. Then they actually implement new features and consistently improve on Sortly's functions.

Cons:

The wish the pics could be saved in a higher resolution, but I also understand memory and speed of loading. Therefore not really a big "con".

Absolutely Adore

Comments: So far, I've really enjoyed sortly, its a good basic inventory management system at a reasonable price for a small buisness.

Pros:

I really love how easy it is to make sub folders in sortly. It's a pretty great platform for those looking for quick updates, and the app works great.

Cons:

I really wish I could integrate with shopify, it would make me want to upgrade to the enterprise level if I could more easily integrate with my POS.

Inventory Management

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: The benefits that have been realized are the easy of knowing the quantity of inventory we have and having notifications sent when there is a low stock. Sortly was easy to implement throughout the organization as it has a very simple mobile app that all can use with ease.

Pros:

Sortly has many features that simplify the management of inventory, one of the best features in the barcode scanner. This helps to simplify the movement of inventory. Sortly is also very simple to use for people who do not have a large knowledge of technology.

Cons:

At this moment, the features that are currently being utilized by me are more than enough. I have found that I have had very minimal negative experience.

Sortly in the Laboratory Environment

4.0 5 years ago

Comments: This was exactly the application that I needed when I started our Laboratory inventory system. It is easy for my staff to look up if we have any chemicals on site, and the ability to add custom fields and tags allows us to keep a list of all of our Hazardous materials and link the SDS(new MSDS) forms to the chemicals, as OSHA and other agencies require.

Pros:

To be honest, it is 'dumb' software. It has a very basic structure that allowed us to fill in and sort things as we needed to without fighting against any templates or pre-designed structure that got in our way. It is super easy to integrate the iOS/Android app as a barcode scanner, something that other inventory management software charges *thousands* of dollars for, as well as expensive hardware to use. Most of your employees already have cell phones, or can be issued ones for work easily.

Cons:

It is not quite as intuitive of an interface as the design would lead you to expect. A few good video/YouTube tutorials would be helpful. The team is still developing features as clients give them input, so things can change quickly. App does not always push to update versions and old versions can be out of synch with the database. Uses Avery labels when I would prefer a zebra printer for printing labels.

Inventory Management Stress Reliever

4.0 3 months ago

Pros:

Its user-friendly interface and intuitive design. The software allows us to easily categorize and track our inventory, making it simple to locate items and manage stock levels effectively. It also offers barcode scanning capabilities, enabling quick and accurate item identification.

Cons:

Limited reporting options: Some users have mentioned that Sortly's reporting capabilities are not as extensive or customizable as they would like. They may find it challenging to generate detailed reports or extract specific data insights from the software.

Pros:

Sortly is a spectacular product for our staging company. We are able to track our inventory, move it over into projects and ensure that all products are returned after we are finished with a stage.

Pros:

All of my items in the ONE app!!!

4.0 3 months ago

Pros:

I love how I can quickly pull up on my phone items that I have in SORTLY, know how much I paid for them, how many I have of them, how many of each size and even have a photo uploaded to know what it looks like. It makes my inventory of my dance costumes SO easy! I have even got a photo of what box and where the box is stored in my warehouse! It makes management of costumes and our hiring section of the business SO smooth!!!

Cons:

Printing out the inventory in a larger scale has proved challenging, but we worked around that.

The App was easy to use and helpful at first, but in the end it did not do everything needed.

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: I was able to get a pretty solid list of inventory and was able to manage it manually for a few weeks.

Pros:

I liked that I was able to take pictures and scan the product into any folder. I liked that i was able to create as many folders as I needed. I really liked the style and functionality of the app. It just didnt accomplish everything that my bosses needed.

Cons:

I was not able to search through my items by quantity, I would like to know what I am out of so that I can restock what I do not have. It would be nice to be able to communicate with the other users on the account. I pay for Users, and it would be nice to be able to message them about specific items arriving, through the same app. Maybe a notification system of some sort. I also wish that it were easier to move items back and forth from folder to folder. It is not as user friendly as it should be when it comes to searching for the folder to move the item into. Specifically on the mobile app because when searching for the destination folder you have to click on just the arrows on the right hand side of the parent folder. Maybe implement a quick touch and a hold down action. It would also be nice to be able to receive boxes and deliveries and be able to sort them into specific folders automatically, based on what is scanned. So predetermined folders.

Pretty solid software

4.0 3 months ago

Comments: I do like Sortly, but I'll probably look for something that fits my needs better and/or is more flexible once I have time to do the research.

Pros:

The app is fast to use and fairly intuitive. Lots of flexibility with custom fields, tags, and more. Bar code generation and scanning is great.

Cons:

In my opinion it's kind of expensive for what it does. There is an especially huge price jump if you need the ability to add attachments to files. Also, it is mostly set up for selling inventory, not for internal inventory organization. We use it to manage a large library of samples that we use for R&D, as well as renting and loaning out to colleagues. It's not set up especially well for the latter. If I want to "check out" a sample I have to make a folder for each person/company and move the item to that folder. And if I'm not careful, it leaves a listing in the old folder with a "0" quantity, which can get confusing. I wish there was a way to turn off quantities and treat every item as unique.
