choose better software
About Google Drive
Google Drive is a cloud-based storage platform that allows users and teams to store, access, and share files in one secure place.
The software is very good as it has the signature Google interface which means everything is very understandable and intuitive. It integrates wonderfully with the rest of Google's ecosystem.
As with all Google products: bad support, lack of continuous improvements, lack of basic features, and horrible UI for the advanced features.

Great product for managing files
Comments: Overall it delivers all whats needed in storage management and flie sharing.
Pros:
Easy to set up for a client or business, reliable real time sync across the all devices connected. Sharing is great option for internal usage. Pricing plans are one of the best you can find.
Cons:
Pretty much all is straight forward, no big issues ever. Customer service will assist you immediately always if on paid plans.

Google Drive works for us!
Comments: We needed a safe place and a place to easily be able to share files for all our social and email marketing - and we also needed something that pretty much had unlimited storage as well. So the drive does fulfill all of these needs. We are pretty happy with it! We sometimes will delete files we will no longer use and that seems to free up space for more storage. Have not had an issue with storage yet!
Pros:
We pretty much store every single graphic image and video for my business in the drive. We used to rely on Dropbox, but the drive seems to have much more storage. It's out go-to.
Cons:
Honestly nothing. It works great. We love it.
Drive Google Drive
Pros:
Google drive is a helpful tool when needed in storing big files or excessive amount of photos.
Cons:
Google drive has a habit of popping up even if I didn’t click on it.
Alternatives Considered:
Very useful backup and data storage manager
Comments: I am very satissifed overall, because G Drive has everything I need including the access from whatever device I want.
Pros:
I really love the accessibility, that I can reach my files from the computer, mobile phone, my tablet... From whatever device I am logged in on my Google account, I can access my files. I can sort them by folders, files, date etc, files are also backed up across devices, storage data plan is also not so expensive for me. I also can color the folders which is the feature I am using a lot. It's better for me as I can easily find the right files and folders then.
Cons:
Google drive is great for me as a whole, so nothing is bad for me. Maybe that Docs and Sheets doesn't have all the features as other services, but it is not primarily the Drive's issue.
Alternatives Considered:
The best around
Comments: It solves all my storage issues, allows me to have all my files secured in backup, and it is not expensive. At the same time, it is hard to manage but this is not very important for me because for me it's mainly a backup tool.
Pros:
For starters, it is solid and it offers the best relation between money and storage. It is very easy to set up.
Cons:
The interface is hard for me to use, it takes me a lot of time to find old files and I get all sorts of trash that others have shared with me mixed with my files. I have a hard time filtering those out to find my stuff and manage it.
google drive review
Comments: my overall experience using Google Drive has been efficient and user-friendly. It has provided convenient storage and easy access to your files from any device, simplifying collaboration and organization of documents.
Pros:
I like google drive because I can use it anytime and anywhere. when I say any time and any where it means I can use it and access my files even I am not connected online . It also give me more space to store important documents that I need in my job . I have been using it since long time and my file still save and not deleted.
Cons:
For me there is nothing that I least like about google drive
Google Drive Makes Remote Work Easy!
Comments: Overall, my experience with Google Drive has been very positive. Going from a paper first world to having everything in a secure and safe space like Google Drive has been a game changer. Working in a remote world requires many tools, and Google Drive leads the way.
Pros:
I enjoy many elements of Google Drive. Being an HR professional, I love having the piece of mind that the drive is secure, and we can easily have visibility into sharing permissions. Another element I like about the drive is how easy it makes it for us to collaborate with teammates, share critical documents, and work asynchronous in our remote world. The drive helps us stay very organized and on top of our work on a daily basis.
Cons:
I really like everything about the drive. It is very secure and safe.

Data permanently or temporarily
Comments: It is a best app when our phones storage is high and sometimes our phone will dead and it will remove all our data all at a time without letting knowing us so at that time it will be very useful while using this app
Pros:
We can use this Google drive app anywhere and anytime whenever we want so it won't delete any of our data so we don't have to worry about our data we can take it back at any time using our Gmail account
Cons:
Sometime this needs internet connection so that is bit difficult
Must Have Software For Distributed Teams
Comments: Google Drive works great for sharing ideas and working in realtime when teams are half-way around the world. The ability to limit access based on permissions is a critical feature.
Pros:
Google Drive makes it easy to create and share data with users anywhere with an internet connection regardless of device. Changes made by one user can be seen by other in realtime. Permissions allow each person to access/view/edit based on functional need.
Cons:
Because it is a cloud-based system, unless you create a local/offline copy, you are unable to access your data should the internet be unavailable. As long as you enable/create an offline copy, you are good to go.

Happy Google Drive user
Pros:
Accessible on both mobile and desktop computer, large storage with options to upgrade to a much huge data storage, unlimited access for collaboration with many people, fast upload and download of files.
Cons:
No negative feedback, very useful and handy to use.
Alternatives Considered:
Google Drive is Amazing for Collaboration
Comments: Very positive. I would highly recommend using Drive to any graphic designer.
Pros:
When working with clients, I love to keep a Google drive going so that we can upload our ideas, inspiration and deliverables. Especially during the Coronavirus Pandemic, this has been especially useful for remotely working.
Cons:
I don’t have too many complaints. Sometimes there’s a bit of back and forth to give permissions for people to view the files outside of the company— but honestly not to hard.

Google Drive is a place for everything and keeps everything in its place
Comments: My overall experience with Google Drive, thus far, has been good. It has been a real lifesaver for my team of writers, editors, artists, and so forth. This software has allowed us to stay on top of all of our tasks in real time. Thus, making our workflow more efficient and practically effortless with the ease it allows us. Everyone knows what they are meant to be working on at all times, keeping everyone on task and stress-free, which is most important -- because happy creators means better art. Aside from the fact that I have had a similar issue to the one I have had with Google Docs, the issue of not being able to add multiple collaborators to a single file at a time on occasion for no reason, I would have to say my experience with Google Drive has been pretty amazing.
Pros:
So far from what I have experienced using Google Drive, the experience has been very positive. I like the fact that it allows my team and I to have a place where we can keep all of our files and documents safely and confidentially. I also like the fact it allows for us to be able to collaborate on projects in real time amongst ourselves and with outsourced freelance contractors. Almost hands-free because it doesn't feel like we are all chained to a desk at all times to get our work done because of the remote and mobile access features allowed by the software.
Cons:
So far the only thing that I have experienced as far as a bug in the Google Drive software is pretty much the same issue I have had with Google Docs. The issue is that sometimes it is difficult to have more than one person allowed to collaborate on a file at a time. If they were able to fix this, the software would be close to perfect.
"Best tool for work at home or anywhere with only a single lappy or smartphone & internet"
Comments: The benifits are numerous. As i already pointed out about the easy share link for different roled people of your work monitors. One more best thing is that the storage capacity. I almost stored around 10GB of my docs and sheets along with inportant client folders with images and data in my drive. The problem of sharing the folders and worked on data through mail is easily being solved in just a click of sharing link using this tool.
Pros:
All my work is stored in the form of excels and docs so i just share the link of my work sheet with the client directly. This particular feature of sharing the link of our worksheet with only viewing access or if needed, with editing access is the best feature from this drive tool.
Cons:
As far as i am aware i am usingng this tool from the past 3 years and i never disliked something so strong but yeah i dislike some functions that are not required in the excel sheet when we are at hurry. Like when i select some cells, some times it automatically calculates the sum of these cells together for which i always face trouble in enteringng the cell values separetly in every cell in numerics.
A Content Marketer's Dream
Comments: Overall, Google Drive has been a fantastic remote work solution that effectively replaced Dropbox (which had been difficult to work with in the past). As someone who creates/edits/manages dozens of files each day, Google Drive is an essential part of my routine, and I don't know what I would do without it.
Pros:
I love that Google Drive makes it easy to create, upload, and store files that can be accessed from anywhere in the world (on any device) by simply logging in to the platform. As a member of a distributed and mostly remote team, this is crucial. I also like all of the real-time editing options across Google products (sheets, docs, etc), as they facilitate seamless collaboration no matter where my team is. Additionally, the sharing options are simple and files can be shared with multiple team members in a matter of seconds.
Cons:
I wish the default access level wasn't restricted so you wouldn't have to manually change to editor-level access each time you share a file.
Google Drive is a Best opportunity for Freelancers
Comments:
As a freelancer i have a great experience with google drive. Easily i have share data of my projects with my clients and get all the requirements also here on google drive.
so overall i have a great experience with it
Pros:
As a freelancer, Google drive is my first and foremost selection to deal with my clients efficiently. I upload all necessary documents in Google Drive to share with my friends. My clients feel it convenient to use this service because it allows sharing a file in each format. The other benefit I get from Google Drive is the security implementations. I can lock my files as well as I can share my data with limited and selected persons. Advanced encryption of 256-bit never allows the hacker to hack our essential personal data. Its protection with a cloud storage system is incredible. The storage characteristics of Google drive is highly appreciated to me. Google drive offers me 15GB of data for free to store essential files. I can easily save and upload my family pictures to this service. The other offer I get from Google drive is 100GB of data for two years. Yes, Google drive also provides free 100GB of data for two years. You can also avail this opportunity as well from the free storage system of Google drive. I can access my photos, presentation and files in any format at any place in the world. I have to log in to my Google account and start using this service. I don't need to take a USB or CD during travelling. I have no words on the speed of downloading and uploading files. I enjoy the working of this service. It reduces time wastage and all confusion to me. I can make multiple folders in Google drive. You can manage your complete specific information in a related folder. I
Cons:
The security threats of Google drive sometimes makes me feel unsure. Google drive gives a potential security system that means it can harm my computer physically or non physically. There might be a chance of viruses in my computer. There are also chances of my computer threatening after excess info and location info to a hacker. Google drive always demand an internet connection. Sometimes, I don't have good signals to use this service. I feel trouble at that time using google drive. The necessary internet access for Google drive is somehow the least interested to me. The other difficulty I face from the Google drive is the file size limits. Google drive is restricted to upload high-quality files and videos. The working of this service becomes slow when dealing with high MBS files. For that, I minimize the quality of files, which is undesired to me. The next factor, which is the slightest desire to me, is unpredictable third party access. I even don't know which applications are getting access to my Google drive. I decrease my trust in data security issues. Some applications on my computer are directly attached to this service. These are the only few issues I face in using Google drive. Otherwise, I have good experience with this excellent service.
A Review about Google Drive Based on a Perspective of a University Education Student
Pros:
The following are my favorite features of Google Drive: First, searching is very easy because we can use a filter that gives us the option to search based on the types of a file (photos, videos, pdfs, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.), based on who created it (it may be something you owned, something you not owned, or a specific person), based on the dates of recent edits, and many more.Second, sharing files is very easy since we have the option to just input emails which will be the only ones to access the file. There is also an option to let only those who are also using the same school email will have access, or even anyone that is outside the organization, as long as they have the link to the file. In relation to this, it is also easy to choose whether those people who will have access to a file can edit, suggest, or only view it.Third, it is accessible to any device since it is available on personal computers, laptops, cellphones, and tablets.Fourth, collaboration is possible since I am able to create shared drives or share a folder created in my own drive.Lastly, there is an option for a file to be available offline so that I can read them or check them from time to time if needed whenever there are times that I am in a place where there is not a strong internet connection or when I do not have a data internet connection.
Cons:
What I like the least about Google Drive is that some people can access my files without my permission. But don't get me wrong, it is my responsibility, not Google's. The reason behind this is that there are times that I accidentally make a file available for everyone. Well, it will not be just accessible to everyone since they need to have a thorough search to look for my file since I named my files somewhat like a code to help me organize things. It's just that sometimes there are some of my schoolmates accidentally find my files.
Best Cloud storage
Comments:
Google Drive serving me very much especially to fulfill my documentation tasks. Easy to manage with the cloud because I can access my documentation from any computers/ any time (e.g: for presentation, showing reports to head/clients, financial documentation, etc).
For each team I have a shared folders to view their documentations and I am having the edit privilege to make the changes.
Editing logs are available to trace back the changes made to the documents.
Pros:
Most of our smart phones (Android) is having Google accounts to operates and Google Drive is the advanced cloud storage media contains with free 15GB of storage for all the Google accounts to store the files freely. As general, cloud is the new technology we are using to access our resources remotely from anywhere, anyplace, and anytime. Google Drive providing with the user friendly environment where the user can feel the he/she is working with their file system (e.g: can create a folder, create a word/excel/power point, cut/copy/past the files and folder, file/folder sharing with advance option such as view/edit, etc.) It is accessible if we have signed our Google Email and we can share the documents through the email or as by links. It is acting as a portable, accessible and not tangible storage device for all of us.
Cons:
It perfectly alright to the well known users and it may be difficult to the new users (users are low in technical knowledge). When we are sharing a confidential file it is restricting the others access by providing their emails but it will be more secure if those files share with passwords. We can backup our own folders in our PC. So, as attackers perspective any attackers can misuse this feature to copy some file from someones PC without any storage devices. It will be good if it have encryption mechanism to store the confidential files and to share with others.
Awesome New User Interface and Price Changes for Extra Space
Comments: I am using Google Drive for the last three years. I have never lost my data or got a problem that couldn't be solved by the Google team. The best thing about the Google service is its team which helps quickly and solve the issue if it comes. The new UI and Price changes made it more likable. I hope it will be improved further especially the prices. I recommend Google Drive to everyone who has storage problem or their data get lost or corrupted in local storage. I am happy to have a reliable service provider and I use it daily to store and sync my data.
Pros:
Google has done a great job with the new user interface design of Google Drive. Now it looks easier to work with it because of its left side panel from where it is easy to add a new folder, file, doc, sheet, etc. The new font and Iconography looks really crisp from before. The new price changes made by Google Drive are also pretty likable such as the prices of Google One and others because the price range is now more affordable than before, which made me really happy to have more space even I pay less for it. I always love discounts so, this initiative made me really happy. Auto update of packages was great as I was using 100GB plan and automatically upgrade helped me to get more storage on that same price which made me more happy with the google drive storage service.
Cons:
The competitor iCloud provides more space in less amount. It would be really appreciated if Google Drive provide it on same price or less, but as Google Drive's Free storage is still better then iCloud's storage and the User Interface beats it. So I will still prefer Google Drive over iCloud Storage. I will not compare Google Drive with Microsoft 365 Storage or Dropbox because they are charging more for fewer space and services. For me Google Drive is a winner and up in the competition because of its Prices and User Friendly Interface which no other service providers privides.
The Best In It's Class!
Comments: Overall I'm a huge fan of Google Drive and I always recommend it over any other cloud storage and file sharing program. I use this daily for sharing and storing large files and I haven't found anything cheaper or more cost efficient. You can get a massive amount of space for a very cheap monthly rate, and it is easy to organize your files on the platform, both on your computer or the app. I'm not sure why some people are still using Dropbox, which is probably it's main competitor in this space. To me it's a clear choice and I will continue to use Google Drive both for business and personal use!
Pros:
I like many things about Google Drive! First and foremost is the cost and the user experience. I've used a lot of cloud storage and file sharing platforms, and this for me is the simplest and easiest to follow. It is as cheap as it gets for lots of cloud storage, and sharing files and folders is super easy as well - we almost take it for granted! It also definitely helps that most people have Google emails, so they're able to easily access the files I share.
Cons:
The only thing I dislike about Google Drive is that sometimes when you click on a file from an email, it can take you to an odd page, or the sharing permissions are off. This isn't really a Google problem, but it can confuse people sometimes.
Google Drive for G Suite - Pros easily outweigh the cons.
Comments: Our company shares a lot of files and folders within the company as well as outside our organization with customers. Google Drive has been a simple solution to keep everyone on the same page with shared files/folders and gives us the option to temporarily share files with clients using the permission expiration features. We love that it keeps everything in one place but is easily accessible from just about anywhere.
Pros:
- Ease of use: it doesn't get easier than Google Drive. We use Google Drive with our business G Suite account, the ease of use makes onboarding new employees quick and simple which means less wasted time for management. - Accessibility: Access from ANYWHERE. Instant upload and instant availability means accessing files on the go is simple and fast. - File sharing: Add an email address and you're good to go. Easily set permissions for what that person is able to do (view only, edit, organize, share, etc.) and change those permissions just as quickly if need be. - File sharing expiration: We love this feature. We share images with our clients and give them a time frame to have the option to download or save their files. You can customize that time frame for any length of time. After that window of time is up, the link automatically stops sharing. No setting reminders or deleting share permissions. - Commenting on files: Just found this little gem and it's amazing. We have a lot of shared files and folders, you can easily comment or make notes on both. This is very helpful if the folder is missing something or a file needs annotating but you don't want to markup the actual file.
Cons:
- File "corruption": Occasionally one of our shared files will be opened on a PC and someone else will open it on a Mac and for some reason that doesn't always go smoothly on the back end. The next time you open the file it sometimes says it's corrupted. Luckily, (a "pro") Google Drive automatically saves "versions" so you can fairly easily restore an earlier version before the file was corrupted and typically you don't lose any changes or information. Mostly just an inconvenience. - Commenting on files: While this is a huge "pro", the only downside is that the comments are not timestamped or dated so it's hard to keep a string of comments or notes going to show updates or changes.

Google Drive - Collaboration made easy
Comments: I like the ability to have all my documents on the cloud. I don't have to worry about losing a document due to hard drive failure or deleting an document because it's always going to be online. Overall, I have to say even for a free software it's a complete bargain. You get most of the features of Word for free and it's entirely on the web browser. What's not to love about that? The only thing they can improve on in my eyes with Google Drive is if they added more flesh out options that could make Microsoft Word obsolete. I have to say overall my experience with Google Drive has been consistently positive and I will be using this software for many more years to come in both my academic and my future career.
Pros:
My absolute favorite thing about Google Drive is the ability to collaborate with others. I have used Google Drive for my group assignments from middle school and all the way through to college. It has made group projects easy to keep track of and easy to share. I love how I can work on a word document, power point document or even an excel worksheet with anyone by simply sharing the link. It takes the hassle away from downloading programs because Google Drive is entirely online. I can access all my files from any device, any place, and any time. I don't even install word processor programs on my new devices anymore. I just use Google Drive because it's simple and it just works.
Cons:
My biggest gripe about Google Drive is the lack of formatting and design options for things like Google docs and Google slides. The most accurate way to put it is that the programs are very bare bones. Most of the time you can get away with it but sometimes my professors require things to be formatted in such a way that Google docs and Google slides doesn't support. Google has added more functionality to google drive since it's release back in 2012, but if it wants to compete with Microsoft, they need to add more features that are in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint.
The Cloud Hard Drive
Comments: Google drive has helped us solve the issue of file sharing and handling permissions to these files. Also, it is a great tool for data backup
Pros:
Google drive is a joy to use as it seamlessly integrates files from your PC, phone and email into one collection that is well arranged. It makes file sharing easy for us as one simply uploads a file and invites members that need to access it and also shares an email invite that you can customise. The most impactful feature for us is the fact that it automatically versions files when you overwrite them, you can then choose whether to maintain the old version or not. Another nice feature is you can sync folders from your PC and they appear as is in the google drive platform. This is all automatic and does not require the users intervention which is a plus
Cons:
A key feature to add would be a shared drive or shared space that an organisation can set user writes a permissions instead of linking the drive to a specific email account. This would make collaboration for organisation wide files easier.

One of the best service for cloud storage and backup your important information.
Comments: Overall I would say I am very happy to use this software. I have been using this software on Microsoft Windows and Android Mobile devices and never thought of using any other software for my cloud storage needs.
Pros:
I have been using this software by Google since last 5-6 years, both on my mobile devices and on computer. One of the best feature of this software is its syncing capabilities across various platforms. I don't need to manually sync any information from my mobile device to my computer. Google Drive does it automatically based on my account I logged in on all devices. Further I can just access any information from my any devices anywhere using my login credentials and don't need to carry storage device to carry my information along with me. This makes me feel safer while accessing my sensitive information remotely. Also, you can have various options from their paid plans to get the cloud storage. Which I think is best option to store your important information rather than saving that physically on storage devices. I would say this is one of the best software for remotely storing your information and accessing that safely using login credentials. Best software provided by Google. I would definitely recommend this software to anyone who need to access information across various devices.
Cons:
Not many cons I noticed but yes one of not so good feature I can say is that sometimes it becomes difficult to find what data has been shared publicly and what is set as private. It should have some kind of definite identification of data shared as public and the private records.

Ally of my personal and professional life
Comments: I use Google Drive for many things. There I have put together documents of everything I need to have on hand both on the computer and on the smartphone. I use it mainly to distribute a weekly session of journalistic work, in which each journalist has topics assigned to write his news in the week. In this way, everyone can see the news that each person has and the transparency in the work can be seen. I also keep photos and videos that I want to keep forever. I send serial chapters and movies from Venezuela to my brother who is in Spain. It's great, I recommend it 100%.
Pros:
Google Drive, like all applications developed by Google, is an excellent option to solve everyday problems and make use of technologies to have an easier life. It is a tool that has enhanced the service that a cloud of storage on the Web normally offers. It allows you to save photos, save files in different formats, create files in the cloud to share with many people and everyone can edit them, as well as save large volume files of your emails and even create backup copies of your smartphones. Pros - It's an excellent cloud. - If you have developed a document in the tool and share it with other people you can see it and edit it at the same time as you. - You can upload heavy files and save them there to download them at any time or place. - All the information is synchronized with your smart devices and you have it available anywhere in the world.
Cons:
- If you do not protect your access password very well, you may lose information about your account. - If a document has several editors and some of them delete the information you can lose it forever. - If you want more storage you must subscribe to an expensive plan. - You always need Internet to navigate in this tool.
Google Drive Just Replaced Your Secretary!
Comments: At our software development company, we use Google Drive on a daily basis to collaborate and integrate our work. The Google Drive allows us to easily share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with each other in real time, making it easy for multiple team members to work on the same project at once. We can also swiftly access each other's files from any device with an internet connection, eliminating the need for physical storage and allowing us to work remotely when needed. Overall, Google Drive has greatly increased our productivity and streamlined our workflow as a software development team.
Pros:
Google Drive is one of the most user-friendly cloud storage options out there. Not only does it allow us to access and share files from any device, but its integration with Google Workspace makes it a seamless addition to our daily workflow. Its search function allows us to quickly locate documents, and its file management features make it easy for us to organize and collaborate on projects. Google Drive also offers an impressive amount of storage space at no additional cost, ensuring that we never have to worry about running out of room for important documents and files. Overall, Google Drive has been an invaluable asset for our business and greatly simplifies our daily operations.
Cons:
Google Drive has been such a lifesaver for our business, making it easy to store and access documents from any device. But there are always ways to improve, and there are some features we would love to see added in the future. For example, the ability to add watermarks or password protection on specific files would be incredibly useful for sensitive information. Additionally, the option to tag or label files similar to how Google Photos organizes pictures would make it easier to find what we need quickly. Google Drive is already an integral part of our workflow, and we can't wait to see what enhancements they make in the future.
