About Quickbase
Quickbase is a no-code operational agility platform that enables organizations to improve operations through insights and automation.
Quick Base was relatively straightforward and its low-code structure allows easy, fast input of data into the sheet. With this, then it can be accessed very easily by other coworkers, and others.
Reliability on services is sometimes difficult. If something breaks, you will need to understand what is broken and alert Quickbase.

Fast, stable, and potent low-code platform
Comments: Using Quickbase, we were able to consolidate many formerly separate, time-consuming operations into a single, streamlined system. Our business unit residents are given the freedom to create solutions even if they lack development abilities. We can create solutions more quickly and cheaply than ever before.
Pros:
Quickbase has been instrumental in simplifying and streamlining several of our previously tool-intensive business procedures. Quickbase provides a unified environment for teamwork and the creation of workflows, as well as the generation of reports and dashboards for monitoring progress.
Cons:
A revamped user interface for the form building tool is long time. The full version has not yet been released, although it was showcased at Empower 2022. Quickbase on mobile devices should be on par with what's available on desktop. More customization options for mobile product displays are needed.
My personal experience with Quickbase
Comments: Despite some minor drawbacks, I highly recommend Quick Base for its versatility and ability to adapt to diverse business needs.
Pros:
Quick Base offers customizable database applications, rapid development, cloud accessibility, scalability, integration capabilities, security, and automation, enhancing organizational efficiency.
Cons:
Quick Base drawbacks include cost, learning curve, customization limitations, internet dependency, vendor lock-in, security concerns, and potential performance issues.
Buyers beware
Comments: It started off great. Seemed like a very trust worthy company. Within the last two years a lot of changes have been within QuickBase business model. They made new pricing models that they are forcing many of their customers to leave or pay an astronomical price increase. This is also hurting their vendors that integrate with QuickBase.
Pros:
The initial ease of use and setup. Anytime you needed help they use to be always there and help you in any way.
Cons:
Every year another price increase. In the beginning they have your pricing start off very low. They make it so you integrate your entire system to use QuickBase. Once you have been with them for years they then increase your pricing anywhere from 275% to 1,600%.
All your reporting in one location
Comments: Use for corporate reporting daily with labor tracker. Used for quarterly inventory and price increasing. Easy to navigate the sight and upload documentation
Pros:
Forecasting, inventory, price increases...all of the corporate reports in one easy location
Cons:
Never had any issues with quickbase, very user friendly
Powerful and feature rich eanterprise app development platform
Comments: Overall Quickbase is very matured platform that can be leveraged to create any business centric applications effectively and easily in short amount of time.
Pros:
Quickbase is extremely powerful and feature rich app development platform. It offers powerful features like app development, workflow automation, third party API integration, permissions and access control, data governance, visualizations and charts, and many more.
Cons:
For customer facing end, enterprise has to rely on programmers and there will be some learning curve.
Quickbase in Healthcare Industry
Pros:
Quickbase offers a wide range of features from PM, TM, App design and development in one place.
Cons:
Quickbase has all the features that I yearn to use on a daily bases which are easy to use and customize.
Houses many important products in one
Comments: Used daily and monthly for inventory, budgeting, staff scheduling and forecasting
Pros:
Houses many programs I use daily. Staff scheduling and monthly budgeting, inventory management, price increases and shopping, etc.
Cons:
Have yet to find an issue, functions well for what it is
A Good Knowledgebase Builder
Pros:
Being able to create a knowledgebase library for all your know hows of your operation
Cons:
Being able to update outdated information is reliant on the admin and how active and/or receptive they are with the information that needs to be updated.
Keeps your Business Adaptable to Various Business Environments
Comments: Helped us with lead management which has for long been an issue for our firm. It also assisted in getting real time data for various activities such as leads and ongoing field service.
Pros:
It allows for customization ensuring that you tailor it to meet your business needs and to fit to your targeted segment
Cons:
Requires some technical knowledge for one to use it
Easy to use cordless development platform
Comments: It was easy to use and flexible, but didn’t have a robust set of capabilities for business leaders logic.
Pros:
It was an easy to use codeless development platform.
Cons:
I couldn’t find a good use case for it. While it was easy to use, it lacked a robust set of capabilities.
Quickbase: A Comprehensive Database Solution
Comments: Overall, we have had a great experience with Quickbase. It has allowed us to manage our data in a way that has been incredibly convenient and efficient. The user interface is intuitive, and the customization options are vast, allowing us to tailor the solution to our specific needs.
Pros:
Quickbase is an incredibly versatile and robust database solution. It has allowed us to manage our data with ease and efficiency. The user interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for us to quickly locate and organize our data. Additionally, the customization options are vast, allowing us to tailor the solution to our specific needs.
Cons:
One of the drawbacks to Quickbase is the cost. While it is a comprehensive solution, it can be expensive for some businesses. Additionally, the app development process can be a bit cumbersome and time-consuming.
Quickbase Review
Pros:
I most appreciate the ease of deployment, as it's gratifying to see the immediate results of changes made to the app. I also find the option to integrate custom code to be very useful. For simpler apps, it's convenient to utilize the native low-code system, but if I need to provide more customized solutions, I can easily implement my own code and integrate it with my Quickbase app.
Cons:
When data sets grow to a certain point, there is a noticable slowdown, and features like formula queries no longer work reliably. I also find that new features are often released with unresolved bugs and issues.
Quick Review
Comments: Overall, I enjoy using and developing Quickbase
Pros:
Customization is great, especially when you work with so many different clients
Cons:
Formulas bog it down. I would love it if there was a way to use native queries rather than having to create my own, very complex formulas.
Read the contract
Comments: It may be a great platform for your organization, not for mine. The Quickbase team only wanted payment regardless of being told we could add our partners to the platform when we could not, per the contract. In my last call, I was told it wasn't a sublicense if I added a customer, as a paying customer, to use any app we developed. This would be a sublicense under our own. I do not recommend using this platform.
Pros:
The sales team is great ([sensitive content hidden] specifically).
Cons:
We were told we could add our partners to the platform only to learn later that sublicensing is not allowed. When we attempted to cancel the subscription due to this issue, the team was more concerned about collecting the remaining portion of the annual fee regardless of unused program hours or not meeting partial or complete performance to assist building the platform.

QuickBase: Streamline Your Business Processes and Improve Operational Agility
Comments: Our experience with QuickBase has been overwhelmingly positive. We found that the platform was very intuitive, making it easy for us to get up and running quickly. The features and integrations allowed us to easily automate many of our business processes, saving us time and money. The customer support team was also incredibly helpful in walking us through any issues we had. Overall, QuickBase has been an invaluable tool for our company and has helped us improve our operational agility, customer responsiveness, and employee engagement.
Pros:
What I liked the most about Quickbase is its power and flexibility when it comes to customizing solutions to fit your business's needs. Not only that, but their customer service team is incredibly helpful - they always respond quickly and provide support whenever needed. Furthermore, the interface is very user-friendly and intuitive; you can create a database in minutes with no coding skills necessary. All in all, QuickBase provides an excellent solution for businesses looking to quickly streamline their processes and increase efficiency.
Cons:
One of the things we didn't like about QuickBase was the lack of user-friendly features. While the platform is powerful, it can be quite difficult to set up and maintain. The learning curve might be a bit steep for less tech-savvy users, so they may need assistance in getting accustomed to the software. Additionally, there are limited customization options for the look and feel of the applications created in QuickBase.
Quickbase Review: A versatile tool for streamlining business processes
Comments: Overall, Quickbase is an excellent tool for streamlining business processes and improving productivity, with a wide range of features and customization options to meet the needs of virtually any organization.
Pros:
Quickbase is easy to use, with intuitive drag-and-drop features for creating custom databases and workflows. It's also highly flexible, with the ability to automate processes, collaborate with team members, and generate powerful reports.
Cons:
Some of the more advanced features may require more training or expertise to fully utilize, and the pricing can be a bit steep for smaller businesses or teams.
Great for small teams!
Comments: I would not recommend this to anyone not dealing with complex, or repetitive, data flow. There are better, simpler programs for it. I use it to track thousands of tiny, moving bits of information, and while I wouldn't say it's perfect -- it does a darn good job. QuickBase isn't that intuitive, but after a few weeks of loose training, it's still one of the better options and I found it reasonably easy to explore.
Pros:
-It is highly customizable! You can add and remove features relatively easily. -Apps can be set to not be available to all employees -- which is useful for both security, as well as efficiency. I like not having to browse 99 tabs to find the one I need. -Online usage, nice for both in office and out of office work. -Data entry and updating are simple and straightforward, which makes training somewhat quick. -Broadly applicable across numerous industries, I've found it extremely useful for many different information communicating and recording purposes.
Cons:
-To really make the most of QuickBase, there needs to be someone with high technology literacy to set everything up and troubleshoot. It can be used simply, but only if your needs are simple, and Quickbase will probably be more than you need if you're just looking for sales tracking or similar. -Though not difficult, adding new data points can be extremely time consuming. In a small workplace, it really does matter if someone needs to spend several days entering data into the same forms, hundreds of times, across different apps. Obviously, this will vary depending on what the needs are. -It takes a lot of clicks to get somewhere. A minor issue really, but I find it irritating to have to 10 things to get what I want because the search function isn't particularly sensitive.

Quickbase is a Game-changer for Small Business Management
Comments: We have automated workflows and processes to reduce human error, especially in relation to deadlines and follow up tasks; we have been able to analyze our business in detail and make better informed decisions; we use quickbase in every aspect of our varied business - to process real estate transactions, compile and analyze business data, coordinate and run government grant programs, coordinate constructions projects and more.
Pros:
Easy to begin immediately creating and customizing workflows and reporting; creates immediate and quantifiable time and resource savings. Automations increase these efficiency gains immensely and are easy to use.
Cons:
Integrations and automations are extremely powerful tools that exponentially increase the value of quickbase but the switch from automations to pipelines presents a major issue in that pipelines are not intuitive or easy to use for the low-code manager. Without an easier to understand interface and/or much better documentation and support, the elimination of automations in favor of pipelines could be a major detractor from the usefulness of quickbase.
Quickbase has a lot of potential and power, but is possibly a steep investment
Comments: It allowed us to replace an old program that was obsolete and no longer supported by the original software developer, and streamline our company's data/workflow needs. However, we have to put up with system quirks we can't afford to fix.
Pros:
Quickbase has some flexibility, it can hold a good amount of data, you can set user controls for different users, and it can be customized to fit your company's needs. You can build apps from scratch or find apps others have developed and incorporate them into your system. You can do custom reports for your company reports or data collection, and save these reports in a spreadsheet format. You can filter your reports as well. It's based on laymen's programming language. They have pretty good customer service.
Cons:
Quickbase is expensive, especially the more users you have. Some features require paying a higher price each month. Quickbase's biggest downfall is if you have the app(s) customized to do something in your organization, i.e. barcode scanning or advanced reservation capabilities, then that section of the app will have advanced programming language that you might not be able to edit. Our company doesn't have app programmers, so since our app was customized, to make significant changes we'd need to shell out big bucks to one of their third-party developers, or we'd need to have a staffer who could make changes. However, different companies have different workflows, so there have been instances where even Quickbase customer support couldn't make a change to what the third-party developer created, so your own company's programmer might even be at a loss. This was very frustrating for our company since we were led to believe we'd invest more money upfront and then just pay to maintain the software and have the support we needed so the app would grow with our company, not end up costing more if we needed changes. If you're a big corporation with lots of money, this is probably the way to go, but if you're a small company you might want to think carefully before investing in Quickbase for anything requiring customization.
Quickbase: the the missing link between applications and and business owners
Comments:
I have used Quickbase for about 2 years now, and I have needed to create the application for my company from scratch.
After having dabbled with the likes of designing a SQL or Access database, to creating a seemingly easier FileMaker application, Quickbase ended up winning those, hands down.
From a UI/UX perspective, Quickbase is a very intuitive products. You will immediately notice the attention to detail in designing this product the very first time you run into an error in a formula, or any design element. All feedback from the application is so detailed to the point where it practically resolves the issue for you. No other application has ever done that for me.
Furthermore, it allows even a non-technical user create fairly complex applications that are far from achievable using a normal database product.
Even if you are looking to create certain more advanced functionality in Quickbase, for instance, interacting with other applications via the API, you have native connectors within Quickbase which is constantly growing, and you can use applications like Zapier to further than integration without requiring any programming knowledge.
I can write about the benefits of this application for pages, but, I will just say that, if you are drowning in Excel sheets to run your business, and have no way to link your data in an elegant way, do yourself a favor, and check out Quickbase for this purpose.
Pros:
- Easy of use (Great UI/UX) - Flexible Interface - Scalable - Supports a full API for integration to virtually any other application - Allows for scaling to a multi-user application, allowing for complex workflows to match business process. - It's a mature product, which means that you would hard pressed to ask a question that hasn't already been answered by one of the Quickbase geniuses in the community forums. - The community support is fantastic, and their support is very quick and efficient.
Cons:
- Reports are not easily formattable. So, if you want to send out reports to your clients, or internally within the company, you would have to resort to 3rd party tools to allow for such functionality. I'm hoping that Quickbase will work on this particular aspect of their reporting in future releases.

Digital daily CRM
Pros:
Quickbase is such a powerful incremental tool. We use it daily to track tasks, opportunities. With Quickbase we are able to collaborate, generate workflows and then make the reports .
Cons:
Quickbase does have its limitations in extending its platform through use of code, It'd be great to see the site take in user scripts which can be hard to manage from a security discussion
Easier to use than salesforce
Comments: I’ve had a positive experience with quickbase. I’ve used different programs in the past, and I thought this would be a little complicated to learn, but I work from home for a team across the country and was able to figure this out with ease
Pros:
I like how easy it is to see who you’ve called for the day, how many calls you’ve made and the ease of writing notes on each lead. It’s much easier to create a lead and keep track of your work compared to salesforce
Cons:
The only thing I wish it did, is remind me before I move on from a lead to click the call box- sometimes I forget to mark it to track that ive made the call for the day.
Great platform. Young but with lots of potential.
Comments: Overall great. Excited to see where they take the platform. Great company.
Pros:
Their premise of citizen development is spot on and what is needed right now by businesses. SFDC is too restrictive technologically and the price tag is prohibitive. Quick Base allows businesses to be agile and build either applications for the long term or ad hoc apps for short term use. Customer support is extremely responsive and helpful. Amazing. They have a good grasp on customer needs and build them into their roadmap. They recently added Pipelines, for instance.
Cons:
They also do not have a native generic Sync to OBCD databases. They recently rolled out Sandbox functionality but there is still no dev environment - the sandbox is the dev environment. QB also disallows scheduled automations of table to table copies if you have Sandbox enabled. Big problem! Cannot remove the default "Create New App" link that everyone sees when logging in the homepage. This means every new user clicks it, and admins get a million notifications of "Joe wants permissions to create apps" from every new user.
An essential Project Management software.
Comments: A major benefit is being able to keep track of all your files in one place. Then taking that data in those files and converting it into reports and charts.
Pros:
This software will bring you and your origination into the 21st century. What is considered the "norm" are Excel files and sheets. Well with QuickBase, the software allows the user to create Apps. What these apps can do is create an entire realm of excel sheets into one application. This eliminates the need to save and send and keep track of one or many excel files. By have one application house all of your files any user can log into QuickBase and continue to works where the last person left off. No need to save and send and wait on some else to finish their part. All the data the lives inside these apps are in a "live" state and the data is shown in real time. The other good part about QuickBase is all this data can be converted into reports and charts, allowing the end user to display visual aids to meet needs.
Cons:
There are a few minor cons however I will not write them as they are mainly just pet peeves of mines. I would say one con is, it will take some time for a new user of this software to start building applications. Now I am not saying this is a long process if the person is willing to learn they will learn rather quickly. QuickBase also offers what is called QuickBase University, user can join this online training course to help rapidly learn how to use this software.
Our main project management tool
Pros:
- Users can be taught how to use main features in short period of time. - Graphical interface gives good reporting of metrics. - Easy to use as a ticketing and request tool for interactions with clients. - Easy to find/locate previous tickets for prior projects and work. - Ability to make sub-tasks of a projects allows work to be split up and assigned.
Cons:
- Inability to take more the three attachments for a particular project seems space limiting for larger endeavors. - Limited number of user licenses means only certain people can use/create tickets.
