Dashboard easy to use good for cash flow and easy of collecting payment. Customer support very dubious seems to be like the original PayPal struggling to keep up.

Cons:

If you can ignore the banner to put payments in do not add any customers until you are completely verified otherwise you are help to ransom and your money stuck in there account.

Comments: Great, just for little payments the charges update had changed our way to work with that. For the rest, we love it.

Pros:

with team-up integration i win so much time. recurrent memberships payments.So easy way to develop payment in our boxes.

Cons:

possibility to decrease charges for little payment. 0,20centimes for little payment is so big. in the past we used for so much payment now it's too expensive for little payment. 0,20cent add-on has been living like an horrible news for us.. We need to use stripe now for that.

Comments: We used Gocardless since 2015, I discovered the product in 2020 and I recommend it because the product is still ramping up, more ergonomic and try to add in France the "instant direct banking" to earn efficacity an security.

Pros:

What I like in Gocardless is his reliability, we connected it to our acconting system, ours emails adress, our software and also at our internal communication. It's posible to deal with our reccuring billing but also one time payments. Success+ is also a good product of Gocardless to which automatically restarts failures.

Cons:

I'm a little bit of disappointed the time to recover the money between the billing and the money in our bank account. It's between 8 and 14 days.

GoCardless - Direct Debits

Comments: Go Cardless were very hard to deal with, especially when we set up a dedicated truct account to recieve inbound payments. It was very hard to get GoCardless to recognise this account, even though it was specifically just for payments that were to be made via Go Cardless.

Pros:

It provided a solution that allowed our customers to authorise Direct Debit payments for recurring payment amounts.

Cons:

We are based in NZ and it was very hard to contact them. We stopped using GoCardless because the fees were to expensive for low value payments. It is actually possible to direct debit money from a persons account without obtaining their permission.

NEVER Use This Service - They are the WORST!

Comments: I HATE this business!! They are the absolute worst. They allow you accept payments from customers, and THEN they suspend your account. The "Account Review" team can ONLY be reached by email and then NEVER respond. They have over $40,000 of my funds and have holding my account hostage for over two weeks and counting...

The provide of their service, which they have broken.

Everything about actually working with them.

Best Recurring Revenue Software

Comments: Seamless. After some admin to set it up to suit my business, it ran on it's own. I never needed to think of it again.

Pros:

Easy to set up, integrated with my website, took payments on time and paid to me on a following date. This solved a major headache for me.

Cons:

I honestly can't think of anything. Any mistakes were on my part and were rectified quickly.

Minimal Transaction Fees for Reliable Payment Processing

Pros:

The minimal transaction fees. This was the only way we were able to afford to start accepting online payments for tuition/fees right off the bat.

Cons:

Some of the banking terminology is perhaps unique to Britain, or at least very different from what's commonly used in the U.S., so there's a small learning curve to figuring out how transactions are processing.

Time Saver and Really Helped Our Cashflow

Comments: It's been an overwhelmingly positive experience. Its helped to automate the invoice billing function, saving time, and costs because I'd say its at least 80% cheaper than the software provider we were using before. Our preferred payment method is BACS or GoCardless.

Pros:

I like having a link that you can send and invite people to sign up which can be customised with your business logo. We use it on all our communications. Before, people had to download a page, print it off, sign it, and scan or post it back... this is all online, its quick and its easy for customers to sign up.

Cons:

Sometimes the Direct Debit collected doesn't automatically allocate itself within our QBO system to the customer who paid... I think its how we set it up (yet some DO match themselves off), so I've got to figure that one out.

Comments: My overall experience with GoCardless is incredibly positive and I would definately recommend anyone using this to make their life easier collecting payments from customers.

Pros:

I'm really impressed at how GoCardless has enabled me to seamlessly take payments automatically from my customers, cutting down on my admin time.

Cons:

There isn't really anything about it that i don't like.

Go Cardless - A fantastic solution

Comments: Game changing! This has made our debt collection process so much more efficient and so easy to rectify any payment issues. We no longer have issues of overpaid or underpaid amounts as this collects as necessary on invoice due dates..

Pros:

We are able to receive payments via DD which means monthly invoices are settled on time every time. The integration with Xero has removed so much of the manual input when reconciling the debtors accounts.

Cons:

Nothing to report, I think the software is fantastic

Comments: Nightmare! Stay away if you are in the USA.

Pros:

Nice looking website but they have horrible customer service and cancel your account after collecting money for you and won’t give it to you or give it back!

Cons:

They reverse their “verification”of your account after you collect a payment. They won’t say why. They won’t talk to you. They have horrible customer service and cancel your account after collecting money for you and won’t give it to you or give it back!

Coiuld have been so much better

Comments: Poor. instead of accepting direct debits seemlessly, it prompted clients to pay monthly, which some did and some didn't. It was not the automated solution that was sold to us.

Pros:

Not a lot. It certainly did not deliver anything that it promised. Very unhelpful.

Comments: GoCardless is perfect for everybody that wants to start offering direct debit to clients without having to invest vast amounts of money upfront.

Pros:

GoCardless was very simple to setup years ago when we wanted to offer our clients the option to pay via direct debit. Forunately there is a ready made connection to Zoho Books which made the whole setup extremely easy.

Cons:

The fees are a bit higher than competitors, but that's understandable given the fact that there are no setup fees or recurring fees.

Simple but powerful solution for recurring payments

The ease of which it integrates with our invoicing software meant we had recurring billing up and running in now time.

Cons:

It took me a little time setting up another bank account, but most of the issue was with the bank

GoCardless Makes Life Easier

Comments: We have been able to encourage more of our clients to sign up to this payment system as it is easy and straightforward for them to manage. It has lessened the admin for both us and them.

Pros:

The integration of Sage with this payment system is paramount to our business. Clients are encouraged to sign up to this which enables us to manage our cash flow more effectrively.

Cons:

To date I have not come across any features that I have not liked or used.

Holding over $3000 for months with zero support

Comments: Horrible support. Months i have been trying a got nowhere.

Pros:

The signup was easy but that is about it

Cons:

Took over 3k out of our clients account and cannot complete deposit. Changed bank account info, verified again, bank statements etc. This company has 0 support. Dont trust them to handle your money. I cant even refund the client and get paid another way as the error is always that i dont have the funds to do a refund even though they are holding the original ACH amount.

Don't do it! Can't get access to my money

Comments: They're customer support is on a UK delay (we're in US). No phone support.

Pros:

Seemed like a great idea - connected via Xero / Accounting software. Huge regrets. They've collected funds via my customer invoices. But are putting me through verification hell. They should NEVER be able to access and hold funds BEFORE they've verified our business. I'm still fighting to get the $6000 they have of ours...

Comments: Overall, I’ve enjoyed using GoCardless and it has made my job easier.

Pros:

Quickly and easily collect invoices through the click of a button. Similar when setting up direct debit mandates - all very quick and simple.

Cons:

I would prefer the filtering options to be a bit better. Doing high volume collections (which need to be done manually rather than set to collect on due date) can be frustrating having to collect in stages and then having to scroll through to the next batch

Comments: Absolutely terrible would never recommend them not even to my worst enemy

Pros:

Nothing they’re not worth the hassle they’re just there to steal money

The whole process with them as soon as I used their service they took the money from my customer and then deactivated my account
