ShipStation Is the Best e-Commerce Shipping Tool!
Comments: ShipStation was an excellent tool to help grow my small business. I am able to see orders from multiple stores that I operate. I have shipped over 20,000 items and I am still shipping products using ShipStation. The
Pros:
It is by far the best e-Commerce tool for shipping and logistics. It helped me grow and run my business immensely. I was able to easily plug in the stores that I operate and it worked like a charm. It populated all the orders without any problem. I also liked the shipping discounts that it provided, as well.
Cons:
I found it a little clunky to use at first. I had trouble navigating the orders. It is really a warehouse type of tool which I had to get used to. I had to learn to how to navigate using the software which didn't seem as intuitive as shipping on eBay or Etsy, for example.
Alternatives Considered: BigCommerce
Reasons for Choosing ShipStation: Stamps.com is also a mandatory subscription to utilize USPS postage. So technically I am still using it but I use it through ShipStation. Previously, I was just using Stamps.com by itself but was unable to connect accounts and get the amazing discounts that ShipStation provides me now.
Switched From: Stamps.com
Reasons for Switching to ShipStation: BigCommerce SUCKS. I used BigCommerce and set up an entire store only to find out that it is the worst service. It was terrible and I am so happy I made the switch to ShipStation from BigCommerce. BigCommerce is expensive and locked me into a platform that I didn't want to use. I had to completely redesign everything and wasn't able to use the shipping platform because it was just hard to navigate and poorly designed.

Best in class order management, but inventory management is flawed
Comments: Positive. I've tried numerous competitors, but keep coming back to shipstation for just doing the business of shipping things flawlessly. If they would add inventory syncing and kitting/bundling, this product would be literal perfection.
Pros:
The workflows, batching, labelling, general UI and UX and the user-centric engineering make it obvious this was designed by product managers who have done ecommerce, rather than their competitors who are software engineers first and have no clue what store owners actually want.
Cons:
The inventory managenet is one way; anything you sell on any channel will decrement Shipstation's inventpry, but it won't then push the new stock count out to connected stores. Also therefore no support for kitting and bundling. They recommend you check out other integration partners but most of those cost 300+ per month which is 6x what I'm paying for Shipstation. They have competitors who offer these features free or cheap, but the competitors lack in the order/shipping management features.
Alternatives Considered: Linnworks
Reasons for Choosing ShipStation: Shipstation's order management, shipping management and labelling (including the Shipstation Carrier Services which is like a proxy prepay account for some couriers we don't qualify for direct integrations with) is literally best in class. None of the others come close.
Switched From: Multiorders and Veeqo
Reasons for Switching to ShipStation: Cost, and best-in-class features, reliability and availability.

Poor support system
Comments: It allow users to import and gives good quality products. But it charges are high with a poor customer support system
Pros:
It have good quality products and labels are great and manage inventory
Cons:
Customer support policy should be taking serious

ShipStation Is the All In One Solution For Any Business Shipping Product
Comments: So far implementation has been straight forward, and support has been useful to get to where we need to be, so we have no complaints and our experience so far has been that we are dealing with professionals.
Pros:
The price checking, the tracking, the integration the ease of use...all lead to an excellent product.
Cons:
So far we have not run into anything major but we have just implemented and are still in testing phase so we need more time for a list of potential cons to emerge (if any do)
Alternatives Considered: Shippo
Reasons for Choosing ShipStation: Price Shopping made easy.
Switched From: FedEx Ship Manager
Reasons for Switching to ShipStation: The array of features, the pricing and the seemingly straight forward integrations were the main factors.

Shipstation is one of the best alternatives I've found.
Comments: Absolutely satisfactory and I'd recommend it to anyone in need of an alternative for shipping.
Pros:
It's easy to use and makes my job convenient. I'm glad I discovered Shipstation.
Cons:
I have no complaints about it. It helps us on the daily!
Alternatives Considered: Stamps.com
Reasons for Choosing ShipStation: Just easier to navigate and gets it done in a jiffy.
Reasons for Switching to ShipStation: It was just easier and more user-friendly. That matters for a company, especially when you have older employees who aren't as "high-tech".

ShipStation -Connecting extra carriers and distribution channels in one Dashboard
Comments: I would recommend the Platform to any company looking to expertly manage its shipping operations just like FabFitFun. I love the Powerful Features which are easy to use. It is easy for the company to connect with various marketplaces, shopping carts, order management systems, and other systems — all from a single, simple platform. Superb customer service is a plus. Keep Rockin'
Pros:
I like how ShipStation swiftly and efficiently manages the order inventory. With ShipStation, it helps the company to coordinate with multiple carriers and order sources in one place. It has an excellent integration with the main shipping service to accelerate shipping management activities.
Cons:
Sometimes, ShipStation may fail to print the labels the user wants but this can be manually downloaded and printed from outside ShipStation. Despite this, there is still a lot in there to explore since the user interface is good.

An Excellent Shipping Partner
Comments: Overall it's very good. I'm always able to get customer support when I need it and they are very knowledgable.
Pros:
I like that we can use all our carriers and easily monitor which things have shipped and what hasn't.We are able to split orders if needed and put things on hold.
Cons:
One thing I would like to see is to be able to see when a shipment has not delivered. You can't filter shipments by "undelivered" so it's hard to spot carrier issues that come up. You just have to search through the whole list.

Software for shipping that expedites the process
Comments: Any business wishing to manage its shipping operations expertly should consider shipstation, in my opinion. I adore the functional, powerful features. The business may easily connect with a variety of marketplaces, shopping carts, order management systems, and other systems from a single, straightforward platform.
Pros:
I appreciate how quickly and well ShipStation handles the order inventory. The company can communicate with many carriers and order sources in one location. It is extremely well integrated with the primary shipping provider, which speeds up shipment management operations.
Cons:
When several people use it simultaneously, it will load slowly, which is inconvenient if you need to do the task quickly. Most particularly if you generate return label.

Good for Shipping Managment
Comments: Overall it's a good platform for organizing and managing your shipping needs - especially when you are doing business on multiple platforms and with multiple company partners.
Pros:
One of the best features is being able to assign the shipments to a specific person. We partner with other companies and suppliers and we can actually have the accounts connected and have them only see the orders that are assigned to them - perfect for the way we manage partnered ordes.
Cons:
Sometimes the layout can be a little confusing to me. The way the organization is laid out per order and overall can feel a bit too much.

A great option for people who frequently use PayPal
Comments: I have had a positive overall experience with ShipStation and believe it to be a great option for frequent PayPal users.
Pros:
I like ShipStation's easy integration with PayPal.
Cons:
I have been able to purchase shipping services at higher discounts using other software. I also find the UI harder to navigate than some other shipping managers.

The Shipping Software To Beat All Shipping Softwares
Comments: Love at first sight. Everything from the easy of customizing the packing slip, email confirmation and delivery emails. The fact that it integrates with almost every platform - and even if it doesn't you can custom code your own store with their open API. Really, a fantastic piece of work.
Pros:
What I liked the most was how easy it is to set up and get going It has a great UI that's extremely easy to use daily. Automations make daily life easier and rate preview is a godsend. I can go on.....
Cons:
The least that I like about this software is that they HAVE the ability to suggest features and updates, however, I don't really see too many of them actually be implemented. Now, that's not saying they don't implement any - but there are some pretty important ones that have a ton of upvotes that tech devs have said would be relatively easy to do, but they don't. Maybe there is something I just don't know...
Alternatives Considered: ShipBob and ShipWorks
Reasons for Choosing ShipStation: EASE
Switched From: ActionShip
Reasons for Switching to ShipStation: Customer support at first, the ease second and the fact that it's been over 7+ years of me using it and I still to this day love it and wouldn't switch. Thanks Shipstation!

Shipping software that speeds things up
Comments: ShipStation has been crucial to our workflow and we'd have wasted hours a week if we were still having to manually enter data. The staff at ShipStation is helpful when you need them but they COULD do a better job implementing features that customers request.
Pros:
We like that you can use ShipStation to import and update orders on your shopping cart software with very little effort.
Cons:
The cost may be prohibitive for users only using minimal feature set, but still a good value compared to manually hand-jamming data.
Alternatives Considered: ShippingEasy and Endicia
Reasons for Choosing ShipStation: ShipStation offered a better integration with our shopping cart platform.
Switched From: Endicia
Reasons for Switching to ShipStation: Both the user interface and integrations were slightly better with ShipStation.

A must for completing orders from multiple platforms
Comments: Really love how Shipstation is available on computers or mobile, making it easy to check for new orders wherever you are.
Pros:
In today's eCommerce industry, brands have to be listed on multiple marketplaces to survive and it's hard to keep track of all orders without a hub. ShipStation is the perfect hub to see orders from every single marketplace, without needing to login to every back end individually. The discounts with ShipStation are comparable to their competitors.
Cons:
If you go over 500 shipments a month, your monthly bill with them will increase. We sometimes buy labels from Shopify because the discount per package is cheaper. Wish there was a way to quickly import orders without having to build a document to use ShipStation to send out marketing materials.

V2 Is A Near-Perfect SaaS. V3 Is Half-Baked
Comments: As I already mentioned, I love ShipStation. It's really one of my favorite pieces of SaaS. Their customer support is also great. They answer their live chats and emails quickly and always have a solution. Rare, especially for the price of admission.
Pros:
The interface in ShipStation V2 is fantastic. As the department manager, I can easily assign orders to my CSR's and use tags to designate anything I want. We use different tags/colors for suppliers, whether we are shipping ourselves or dropshipping, or marking things as HOT! Using the tags to filter, makes it easy to find and sort orders and see what needs to be worked on. We also use the custom fields for notating PO #'s, which supplier we dropshipped from, and sometimes other important notes. The interface is so easy on the eyes and the filtering are so good that we use ShipStation instead of ChannelAdvisor to handle our orders. Another great feature is ShipStation Connect, which allows us to print to anyone's printer, even if they are not on the same network. Fantastic feature, especially, if not everyone has a Zebra printer at their station.
Cons:
I wish we could interface with our website. Right now, we're using it with the marketplaces, but our website is on its own, which is unfortunate, because we lose all of that monitoring functionality. The other con is V3. We tried it. It's very much not ready for prime time. It was buggy. The interface was not as good and the user experience was lacking. What we could do in V2 with a few keystrokes and the Tab key, took several more clicks. We're hoping they fix that up, before forcing the "upgrade."

ShipStation customers need to beware
Comments: Horrible. It started off with every feature working great, until two months later when they rolled out "new version"s that removed or broke most of what we used the software for. Customer Service responded months later to my accounting outage just to say they werent going to do anything.
Pros:
OMS, carrier, product, inventory and integrations
Cons:
Everything. There isn't a single feature in ShipStation they haven't changed in the last two years and made worse. Integrations are broken and the team doesn't work on them. Order Management has become barren of features as they remove things instead of fixing them. You can't trust that a feature you rely on will be maintained. Customer Service group is absolutely worthless and the development team doesn't work on any request. The forums are a joke. Tons of people with tons and tons of people supporting their bug reports, feature requests, etc. and all being completely ignored by ShipStation.

Saves so much time on shipment processing
Comments: Shipstation has enabled us to have a centralized location that all orders flow through (most are linked, some are imported manually). The ability to create a shipment, receive a quote, batch orders, purchase and print labels, track packages and process returns in one program is literally the largest saver of time and money for my business.
Pros:
Shipstation was not the first shipment software I tried but it will definitely be the last. The platform is perfect for busy online retailers. At times, I was shopping 2,000 packages a day and shipstation handled it like a boss.
Cons:
At times, it can be difficult to reach the account manager assigned to our account. When customers depend on the shipment estimations we provide, we can’t afford software issues that go unresolved for any length of time.

The best label mailing solution for a multi-channel ecommerce business
Comments: A simple and affordable way to buy postage and print labels for ecommerce businesses.
Pros:
Shipstation is a fantastic shipping suite for our business. We use the integrations for Shopify, eBay, and Amazon. Orders are automatically imported and we are able to simple and efficiently manage shipments for UPS and USPS. Rates are automatically displayed, invalid address warning shown, and everything can be managed from a web-based UI with remotely connected printers using Shipstation Connect. We are able to use our UPS business account with the UPS integration for our set rates. Labels and Pack Slip templates are customizable and simple to set up. Our 4x6 Brother QL1000 continuous label printer works perfectly with Shipstation and Shipstation Connect, and we use standard letter paper for pack slips.
Cons:
The Shipstation android app does not work with Shipstation Connect very well in terms of printers, and there are UI issues with it. On top of that, the Shipstation web-based application does not work well on small browser screens, so it is currently almost impossible and very painstaking to print labels from a phone.

Great product but nonexistent customer servicet
Pros:
It is incredibly helpful when all is well and is a major benefit to businesses that ship.
Cons:
I pay for "Silver service" which boasts "Live Chat support". There is no live chat support actually and we have submitted tickets via email that have gone unanswered for weeks. This dramatically impacts our business. What could take potentially minutes to sort out with tech support could feasibly cost us thousands of dollars in lost revenue. Customer support is immediately there for on-boarding new clients....but is entirely absent when it comes to upholding promises of live support, or sustaining proper functioning of customer accounts. I get that times are tough and some delays can be expected, but to promise live chat support and then not respond for weeks on end just feels like negligence at this point. Just because its more profitable to focus on new accounts than it is to help existing customers doesn't mean its the right thing to do. Please reallocate some resources to uphold your promise to provide customer service.

Poor for international shipping.
Comments: Saves copying addresses out of Magento by hand.
Pros:
Remote label printing works well. Does work with non-US based UPS accounts. Web based ... that's about it really.
Cons:
Struggles with international shipments. Shipstation does not support multi-currency, so if you have more than one sales currency, you are hosed. Shipstation does not support shipping to any country that needs a special customs declaration (like NAFTA statement on US->Canada shipping) so for many countries, you will need to do a manual UPS shipment. Shipstation uses pounds or GRAMMES ... very few stores ship in grammes, mostly kg, which Shipstation does not support, so imported weights are always wrong. Does not support international returns. No "rule set" for allocating different countries/services to different carrier services ... etc etc You cannot easily see which shipments are attached to an order. Having printed a label in "orders" you cannot then print a packing slip afterwards, you have to do packing slip then label. Cannot easily print a UPS return label on the thermal printer .. can only email or download ... theres a workaround, but it's non-obvious. The multi-currency and customs failings are a pain for us :(

ShipStation
Comments: Overall, I have found ShipStation extremely helpful for the kind of work I do. Especially for a smaller business. We ship out about 100-200 packages a week, and ShipStation is the perfect software to manage that.
Pros:
ShipStation is very useful for small companies. I work for a small online boutique, and use ShipStation to package/ship items all over the United States, Canada, and Australia. ShipStation is user friendly and very useful for large order quantities. I find there are many useful options when shipping. For instance, it allows ability to combine orders, hold orders until a selected date, sort orders by name, date, size, etc. It is an extremely helpful software.
Cons:
I have not found many flaws in this software. The only issue I have encountered with ShipStation is its inability to function well with other pages open. For instance, when I am shipping, I often have other windows/internet tabs open. ShipStation slows down substantially when I have these other windows open.
Marcus
Changed the way we handle shipping and returns almost immediately
Pros:
Shipstation, above all, is very easy to use. The features list is really comprehensive and it works extremely well as an integral part of your online shipping program. Our needs were for a non-standard integration but their support team and API made it very easy for us to get up and running. Plus, with a 3rd party app, we seamlessly use Shipstation as an order pass-through to get orders into Quickbooks online. It's given us an ability to grow without increasing staff for mundane work!
Cons:
We wish that an order wasn't tied directly to a singluar shipment. Our orders contain various products from various vendors and we'd prefer to keep a single order together and post multiple shipments to it, as opposed to needing to split and duplicate orders to ship multiple items for one reference. This and other annoyances are the most we could say negatively about Shipstation, but are not representative of a need to change in any way.
John
Shipstation is great for managing orders and purchasing shipping but still needs a lot of work
Comments: Shipstation has great rates for shipping but if I could find a program that would allow us to edit packing slips, provided the same rates, and I could easily sync with shopify then I would switch because the customer service is abysmal.
Pros:
I like the ease of syncing our orders with shopify, shipping them through shipstation, and having the tracking number then re-uploaded to shopify.
Cons:
I had an issue a long time ago of not being able to change SKU or UPC numbers in my inventory. It has been a year and customer service never figured it out or replied to my most recent messages. We were able to edit the packing slips on our old plan, then they changed it so you had to be upgraded further to access that ability. We have an error on our old packing slip and am not able to get it fixed unless I pay an additional $100 for one month.
shachar
great software almost perfect
Comments: it is great. we are using it every day. I wish I could talk to someone to make things easier.
Pros:
easy to use, has many reports, many integrations with other programs and seems like they are working constantly on more.
Cons:
no phone calls to customer service I need to set up the inventory differently and not sure how it can be done.
jennifer
EXTREMELY EASY TO USE! and much more!
Pros:
Shipstation is extremely easy to use. It also has better pricing for postage than USPS itself! It even has more applications than I ever dreamed of! You can have your brand name on your postage (or anything you'd like), it also allows you to: send your customers an email -AND- choose WHEN to have it sent; like so, I learned you can have shipping tracking/delivery confirmation sent to your customer; when it is mailed (scanned at post office - and on it's way), or even sent at the moment you print it out! You can add other venue's that you sell from, integrate the sales from them & print your shipping label right from Shipstation! SO MUCH MORE, that I am still learning I can do! SHIPSTATION IS A WONDERFUL APP IN MORE WAYS THAN I CAN COUNT! ... AND IN MORE WAYS I'VE YET TO LEARN! EXCITING -AND- SIMPLY PUT - IT IS SO EASY TO USE! I'll never go back to printing shipping labels from my on-line account with USPS directly, they do NOT have all the capabilities & extra's that shipstation offers! ONLY SHIPSTATION FOR ME!
Cons:
The only 'con' for me is because I don't have enough customers to warrant the monthly charge. A smaller fee for people like me (who -in a way- are paying more for postage when you add on the monthly fee with the postage). That would help me, or people like me, who can barely afford even the lowest per month for 50 postages per month because I am only printing up to 10 per entire month. It's great for bigger business' tho!

Mike
Why use anything else?
Comments: Absolutely amazing. It is so easy to use that I was able to easily integrate it across three warehouses plus our corporate headquarters. I had 20 different ecommerce sites across several platforms including Woocommerce, Magento 1, Shopify, Prestashop, Open Cart, Ebay and Amazon Merchant fulfilled. Setting up rules to automate our business was so simple. I can automatically have orders go to the correct warehouses based on rules by skus. We were easily able to customize marketing material for each store on invoices and shipping labels. Love you shipstation.
Pros:
Besides everything? The thing I loved the MOST would be how fantastically easily it was to get up and running and integrated with every platform. I looked like a real genius. But it wasn't me, it was the simplicity of the system. Its that easy.
Cons:
They had an inventory management portion of the software that I didn't quite understand how to utilize it.
