Excellent for tracking all our key metrics in one place

Comments: Overall, a great tool for tracking and building boards on high-level metrics.

Pros:

I love being able to have complete customizable control of my key metrics dashboard. It allows me a daily snapshot of how we're performing. Plus, being able to schedule snapshots be sent to Slack and email, etc. is great. I also love the goals feature, being able to put our metrics into context like this is great.

Cons:

Some of the integrations are a little lacking, meaning data isn't always super accurate or up-to-date. We definitely cannot use a Databox board as a undisputed source of truth to report on, but rather as a snapshot to see trends. E.g. our Ahrefs Domain Rating is hardly ever correct on the board. I also wish there was a little more functionality within the integrations, the options for what you can pull from ActiveCampaign and Intercom are pretty lacking. And I wish they had a ChartMogul integration too!

Comments: Our analytics process has been streamlined by the capacity to combine data from multiple sources into a single, cohesive dashboard.

Pros:

One exceptional feature of Databox is its alert system, which alerts us right away to any anomalies or noteworthy changes in the data. Being able to keep an eye on important metrics in real time has made us much more responsive.

Cons:

Data loading may take a little longer when there are big datasets.

Significant Issues With Platform Uptime, Very Buggy And Stopped Syncing With Google Analytics

Comments: Due to prolonged outages for the platform and syncing with Google Analytics, the reports were not reliable. We'd often show up for a client meeting, only to find out that the system had gone down a few minutes before. There was one point where it was down for nearly 3 weeks in a row. Their support took several hours to respond. Their response typically was, "Our developers fixed this, please try again." When we went to check, it would still have the same issues. We had dozens upon dozens of support tickets. They ended up assigning an account manager to us. While the account manager was friendly, their job was simply to check their uptime... Most emails were, "It still isn't working, I'll recheck with the developers." Toward the end of our contract, we reached out to ask for a credit due to the downtime. They responded by saying they have no flexibility and don't offer credits or refunds. It is so bizarre to me that a company would have a platform with so much downtime but will not reimburse you for the time their solution is unavailable. We ended up switching to Google Data Studio and hiring someone on UpWork to recreate the reports.

Pros:

The drag-and-drop reports looked nice and made it easy to create visualizations.

Cons:

The platform was constantly going down. We had significant outages for the platform and their ability to sync with Google Analytics. This caused our reporting to display incorrect data, if it showed data at all.

Comments: It is extremely flexible and it solves the problem of creating reports using spreadsheets to pull in custom data. You also can display your report in a variety of different graphical styles. Once a report is created the viewer of the report can filter each graph by a specific date range. Once I got the hang of using Databox I've come to love how flexible and powerful it is and would recommend it to anyone who needs to create a custom report for their business.

Pros:

Databox makes it easy to create custom reports from multiple sources. For example, I've created a single report using Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Normally this would be impossible in a single report. You can use many different sources and Databox has multiple integrations that help you get started. If there isn't integration you still upload custom spreadsheets and create a report from those. Within each report metric you can then filter down to the specific metric you want. You can also create calculated metrics to create your own metrics.

Cons:

There can be a steep learning curve to get the exact metric you want. I had to spend a lot of time getting the correct filters and segments from Google Analytics. However, I was finally able to create those reports. There is also a huge amount of data you can analyze and figuring out the exact metrics to report on can be daunting. But that can also be a result of not figuring out the best KPI's before creating your report.

Data creation and analytics tool

Pros:

The tool has intuitive visualization features that help to analyze data effectively

Cons:

The cost to acquire is high compared to alternatives

Wrong KPIs for easy calculations

Comments: not happy with the tool. Very expensive for a dashboard full of wrong KPIs. Also the customer support doesn't reply or replies 1 month later.

Pros:

It's very simple set up. It takes a while to set it up but then it's easy to move graphs around.

Cons:

The most simple calculations are wrong too often. Also can not get certain dashboard overviews that look very easy. Their answer is because it's not possible as it comes from different sources, which for me is the whole reason to use this tool. I can not rely on the data and have to still manually calculate.

Blown away. Completely changed my household.

Comments: At-a-glance view of everything I need to know about my business and household.

Pros:

I think most people use software like this to track their business outcomes, but my wife and I? Nope. I mean yes, I have my mailchimp and social media results on there, but also bank balances, to-do lists from Google Sheets, all kinds of stuff across two cheap monitors that just sit in the corner of our house. You'd think that'd be anxiety inducing but it's the opposite - I wake up every day, know where my business is at, know where my finances are at, have the "honey-do's" all prepared, and even see the weather. I LOVE this program. Yeah it's a little more expensive than others but 100% worth it for the extra integrations. Recommend without hesitation.

Cons:

It should be free for everyone everywhere, airdropped by satellite into rural villages with API manuals. ... no really though, it could be cheaper; there are iOS / Apple TV equivalents that are a quarter as expensive. If it weren't for the breadth of integrations I'd consider something else - but between those and all I can do aesthetically, it's a no-brainer.

Pros:

Ok, so I was desperately looking for an affordable platform to centralize my reporting for my clients. Most things that I found were either too expensive or too limited. I tested many free reporting tools - not enough connections. I tested the "free trial" of the big guys - great, feature-rich, and waay out of my budget. Then I came across Databox and I have to tell you, it has been a complete game changer for me. The Free version allows you to connect 10 clients to 3 data sources for reporting but then I discovered that I could easily afford the next level upgrade version, which allowed me to enhance my reports with up to 10 data sources for 10 clients. The setup was extremely simple and once I created the dashboards and scorecards, I was able to click a button and create an easy to understand report for my clients. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is struggling to keep up with the reporting for their marketing clients.

Cons:

Honestly, nothing. Maybe that I have to pay for it to use it, but that's business.

Easy to use and pleasing to the eye

Pros:

You can get started in under a minute with no prior knowledge about analytics or dashboards. The free templates (made by other marketers) make it super easy to visualize your data.

Cons:

More tehcnical users might miss advanced features (like making custom in-app API calls) but I guess that would defeat the purpose of keeping it simple for the rest of us.

My search is over! Custom Data Visualization & Reporting

Comments: I was looking for a solution to display website data and analytics for my clients. As a design and development agency, I wanted something that looks great, is easy for clients to use, and that I can "set and forget". Databox is the answer! By far the best in the industry. The free version is great for many small clients, and the paid upgrades for more integrations and users is very fair for those that need it.

Pros:

Vast number of integrations, ease of use creating boards, white labeling, multiple users, mobile app is fantastic, goals, notifications, snapshots, and it's beautiful!

Cons:

Some of the pre-made templates are too specialized. I created a client account before they introduced Agency accounts, and can't switch it over easily.

Overpriced / Clunky / Terrible Customer Service

Pros:

The UI is fine and the user experience is relatively easy to navigate.

Cons:

Overpriced for what you get. Terrible support and customer service. The worst from any company I have worked with. So many better options out there than Databox. We use Looker Studio and our clients have been so much happier.

Databox - Easiest Data Visulation Tool

Comments: i do love it. it's something i'm planning on bringing with me if i ever switch jobs. i like how easy it is. at first we were about to cancel databox cause no one knew how to work with it. once i learned the specific way you needed to set up the code then i was like THIS IS EASY and now have made way too many dashboards

Pros:

the visualizations are great and is easy to customize. I always thought Tableau was too much. Databox gives you nice-looking dashboards without it being overall flashy or complicated

Cons:

I wish the dashboards were bigger so i could fit more information. or i wish i could connect them and make it so i can scroll to see the different dashboards. but really i wish they could be organized better. it's nice that people can organize the way they want but i wish by default the order was what i set. i also wish there were folders so i could group the marketing dashboards all in 1 spot then give everyone access to that folder instead of one by one. so i try to color code the dashboards to make it easier but not everyone is going to get that. i also don't like that anyone can share the datawall of a dashboard and then they get added to the account. i wish there was a verification process that would notify me when someone new is trying to view a dashboard. but b/c people can just share i see random emails get created and i want to be able to have more control of our data and make sure they are seeing only the things they should be seeing

Great for free

Pros:

The basic account is free with data box and gives you 3 datasources which is enough to make some really nice visualisations of your data. We use it to send investors regular updates and give them a link they can access whenever they want to get an update on our progress. Once we created theses boards they just update automatically which make it some much easier to manage. They have a great range of connectctions with most of the services you can think off to run your business. Their visualisation tools make it pretty easy to set up nice views of your data, and if you are stuck they have some great templates that just plug and play with your data.

Cons:

There have been a few bugs as we are in the UK we want money to be in £ and their default is $ there are some work arounds to make it work but it would be nice to have currency support built in and automatic. Sometimes the data shows a little funnily on the iPhone app, support are very good at fixing this issues though.

Excellent data analytics & visualiastion tool

Pros:

It allows us to easily create reports based on our needs, take in different datasources and aggregate them, does not require you to be a data expert to use it and provides great insights. It also allows to set up email reports to go at certain times which makes your job even easierIt is the ultimate business intelligence tool

Cons:

I don't have a need for more integrations at the moment, but certainly he more platforms Databox can introduce the better

How to perform magic with Data box

Pros:

Comments: We use Databox for 2 months now and so far we like it more and more. We only use Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics tools, so Databox seemed as a perfect solution for us. Databox allowed us to combine data from different data sources and display them in one place in a beautiful mobile app. We had some difficulties when we were setting up all data sources, but their customer support helped us in no time. The feature we like the most is scorecard. It's nothing better than getting a scorecard with most important KPIs in the morning and see the performance for the past day.

Pros:

- Daily scorecards - Beautiful designed web and mobile app - Databox Query Builder which allows us to get customized metrics from analytic tools - Powerful yet simple Designer, where you can quickly set up datacards with a simple drag and drop feature - Very helpful and responsive customer support

Cons:

- The alerting feature didn't seem to work for us two months ago so we stopped using it

Practical & Pleaseing Data Tool For the Small Business

Comments: Building reports for clients can be time consuming and full of confusing, intricate processes. Data Box has really allowed my company to scale reporting for our clients - building easy reports

Pros:

The software is both intuitive and aesthetically pleasing. Easily view your data from Analytics, Google Ads, social media, etc. all in one spot. the feature I find most valuable is the ability to set alerts for goals. This reminds me n my team of our progress and where we stand in regards to our goals. You can set these so clients can see them as well! Overall it is simple to build visuals without code and drill down further into those visuals via the query builder or manipulating data rows/columns.

Cons:

To really use the tool to its full potential you should use the paid version. The free version is very limiting in data and may limit data source connections.

Super duper dashboard for all my cloud services

Comments: Few months ago i've downloaded this dashboard app, and absolutely happy with it. Now it's one of the most useful tools I use for work. I really appreciate the fact that I have all my data, analytics, reporting in one singular dashboard, especially when I work remotely. Plus I can always update my info while walking ;) And I do like its clear design and easy to use navigation. Simple, nice, and useful! Thanks for making my working days easier ;)

Pros:

As a small ad agency, we manage various different accounts on many different platforms. Google analytics, adwords, Facebook ads, etc. Databox lets us identify the key performance indicators that we need to see on a daily basis and makes tracking campaign progress EASY!

Cons:

NOTHING! Please keep doing what you are doing, Databox! I can't imagine doing my job without this software, literally!

Cons:

The cons of this application are it can be a bit challenging sometimes to get the data updated and connect all external data sources. But the tutorials and guides are very helpful to solve the most of the issues

Comments: Fantastic! I absolutely love the software and think its brilliant for anyone who has several places to get reports.

Pros:

The software is great if you have several things you have to view all at once. This also runs really well once things are setup and moving along. You will have to sink time into it, but its worth it.

Cons:

The biggest issue is it takes time to properly set up. Once you have the software set up properly, it's easy to use. So be prepared to sink some time into it.

Value for Money Product

Comments: We have set up our dashboard within one day using Google sheets and the dashboard contains more than 5k data the visualization was very perfect.

Pros:

I like the customer support and User Interface. It's very easy to build and it has a lot of pre templates. We can use any templates and change them according to our needs.

Cons:

Databox have to think about a free version for google sheets. AS Google already has the dashboard called the "Google data studio" version where anyone can freely set up their dashboard without any hustle. So if it is only for google sheets then the databox must think about a free version.

So easy to use and great visualisation

Pros:

Its absolutely brilliant that they allow you to connect up to 4 social media accounts without having to pay. Social media isn't top of the list at our company so all we really need is Google Analytics and Linkedin. Once everything was set up and linked and I had spent a bit of time customising the boards all I have to do now is update and share them each month for the directors meeting. Super easy!

Cons:

Its obviously a very complex piece of software and I'm sure there are things it does that I don't even know about yet.

Great, Plug & Play and affordable product for mobile access

Comments: We have been searching a solution like Data Box for a long time. It is powerful, has the WOW effect, is easy to build and very important, very affordable.
Apart from connecting to several cloud services really in a few clicks (twitter, Google Analytics, CRMs, etc), we can connect DIRECTLY to our customer databases (MySQL, MS SQL Server). It allows us to build customized dashboards based on metrics.

Pros:

Easy to use for customer WOW effect Amazing design Really Plug&Play dashboard to cloud services Access to customer databases

Cons:

It would be great having query builder on BASIC PLAN or middle plan between BASIC and BUSINESS.
