Great scheduling software solution

5.0 last year

Pros:

We use this on a daily basis in 7 locations to schedule our patients, schedule our drivers' routes, and track the foot traffic into our stores.

Cons:

Only able to have 8 calendars. We have been able to make it work but we would have liked 10-12 caledars available to view on one screen.

Great tool, great people and support!

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Overall great, with minor points to improve.

Pros:

Gym management is much easier. You can do pretty much most of the things that a typical gym owner and admin would require. Not considering alternatives, which must mean it's very good! :-)

Cons:

Some parts are slightly cumbersome, especially to the end customer, e.g. too many screens to go through upon enrollment. Also, for the admin side - lack of certain crucial indicators, such as LTV of customer, ARM - average revenue per member, retention rate - these all should be on the dashboard... It's not that I have not asked either ;-)

Alternatives Considered: Wodify, SugarWOD, WodGuru and Mindbody

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: This is my first and only product of this kind since I started business in 2014. Not wanting to switch for a variety of reasons. Main being - I'm happy with the level of service, price and also would rather avoid the hassle of transferring everything and risking it's not going to be up to par with my expectations. You cannot really say that after a 1, 2 or even 4 week trial period...

Can’t recommend it more

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Really good. Really pleased I moved over from Virtuagym. The customer service is exceptional and the price is really competitive too for a great product.

Pros:

It’s just really easy to use and intuitive. It feels like it has been designed by a fitness professional who actually uses it

Cons:

Nothing yet. It would be nice if I could have a separate calendar for staff to add their availability for the month ahead so I could know who is free to work which session and then allocate them

Alternatives Considered: PushPress

Reasons for Choosing TeamUp: Virtuagym claimed their system done a lot more than it actually does and their customer service is absolutely awful. There are tons old glitches in the software and it’s really overly complicated. Worse decision I made going with them

Switched From: Virtuagym

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: I had previously been with pushpress and they were quite good. I loved to Virtuagym because it offered a lot more including your own branded App but it didn’t provide any of this, so when I moved away I researched other products and saw a lot of positive reviews for TEAMUP

I would not switch from Team Up

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Team up allow bookings to be made easy for clients and allows me a regular monthly income, so I know how my finances will look. The support staff are very helpful and the automated emails to send to clients saves me hours of work.

Pros:

When I first joined up, I was really satisfied with the high level of support from Team up. They were quick to respond to my questions and really helped me to start things going. I love the simplicity of the app and so do my clients.

Cons:

It would be great if Team Up could have a texting service as well as email. Sending online birthday, holiday and christimas cards would be great extra add on.

Alternatives Considered: Mindbody

Reasons for Choosing TeamUp: Bookwhen were limited in what they could offer and didn't provide a monthly payment service for clients.

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: It was easy to use and I didn't need all the features mindbody had.

Comments: It is really good for getting my clients to sign up and pay for classes easily and efficiently.

Pros:

The customer service is fantastic and generally very quick. They were really helpful when I was moving from another platform and are still really helpful with any problems I might have. It is really simple to use. I can put clients on a register very easily and create ongoing reservations

Cons:

You can only contact clients via email. A text service would be brilliant. There isn’t an app but you can still use it on your phone

LOVE TeamUp!

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: I absolutely LOVE teamup! The guys on their team are just incredible. Not only is the software amazing, but the customer support is top notch! If I ever phone, they work through my issues right there and then which I love! I've had monthly catch ups with them .. especially with [SENSITIVE CONTENT] she is amazing! Really helped me with the software and just general coaching to get me going with everything! These guys go above and beyond.

Pros:

How top notch the customer support and onboarding is! I also love how easy it is to use. I love the reporting and how easy it is to extract information. I just love everything! It's great! and they only charge you based on how many customers you have which makes perfect sense!

Cons:

Sometimes my customers struggle to understand how it works which can be resolved but I personally don't spend enough time teaching them!

Alternatives Considered: Mindbody

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: Because of the price - it worked for me at the time and has since!

Comments: 10/10 couldn't be any more happier.

Pros:

I love how helpful the staff is, especially with individuals such as myself who have very little experience with integrating software and online management. It has been a complete eye-opener to leveling up my business without the unnecessary hand-delt stress.

Cons:

The software wasn't the problem, I was the problem fighting to learn how to use it .

TeamUp does our admin whilst we run the business

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Excellent. The system reduces our admin time to less than half an hour a day. The dashboard makes it easy to identify new customers, payments going through and any issues such as failed payments too. Everything else is automated, with customers also able to buy or upgrade additional memberships too.

Pros:

TeamUp is a great membership system. It is easy to set up, update and is fully automated with secure card and DD payments within the system (transactions are up front with no invoices/payments to chase). Other useful features such as trigger emails automatically welcome customers, remind them of bookings, tell customers how to get to my business. There are also great billing features that allow you to freeze memberships, automatically skip payments and take ad hoc payments too. We have tried other systems that promise much, however, have recently moved back to TeamUp as for membership management it is hard to beat..

Cons:

There are no cons to using this system. Yes, there would be some nice to have additional features, however, it does the key activities REALLY well.

Alternatives Considered: Mindbody

Reasons for Choosing TeamUp: Our old system had features not offered by TeamUp which is why we moved - it offered customers performance tracking and some other nifty customer features. However, the business management experience was very manual and time consuming. The main reason we came back to TeamUp was that the old system's payment methods were not embedded in the application which meant that invoices and DD mandates were emailed to the customer to complete. This resulted in emails going into junk/spam folders with a lot of admin time required to chase up payments. Many other processes were also pretty manual which increased our time spent on admin with mistakes made because of having to set diary reminders.

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: The system is fully automated, with great trigger options for customer communications. It has a fantastic dashboard which allows you to assess money and customer activity for the day in less than 2 mins. There are some great billing and booking features that allow you to make changes on payments, cancellations and block bookings so that you can do it once, confident that the system will do the rest. TeamUp reduces admin to half an hour a day, allowing us to get on with coaching and business development.

EPIC!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Benefits:
-easy to use by admins
-super user-friendly even for older clients
-family set up is great!
-epic detailed reporting
-great integration of various payment systems
-birthday and attendance tracking
-epic app that had zero bugs in the last 2 years ive been using it
-wonderful customer service, whose basically just contacting us when there is a new feature or ideas for improvements required :-)

Pros:

I've tested many members' management software options including the very overpriced Mindbody. TeamUP is simply THE BEST! Even with my limited computer skills, everything is so intuitive that I have no problems using it. (Never read any manual or help page) Admin guys have ZERO issues and most importantly our customers never had any issues with it either. This software is already GREAT, simple, functional, fast and very affordable and yet the team is non stop bringing in new epic features. Reporting is very detailed and easy to navigate through.

Cons:

the fact that it was not available a few years back? ;-) It would have saved me a LOT of money, time and most of all stress.

Invaluable tool for small wellness business

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: My overall experience with TeamUp has been excellent. I have more time to focus on the important things as TeamUp has helped to streamline all of my admin processes.

Pros:

As soon as I started using TeamUp it was like I got over half of my week back! Previously, I had been invoicing clients for their class passes, manually taking bookings, getting clients to manually fill out forms and it took up a huge amount of time. TeamUp streamlined the way that my business operates immediately, freeing up my time to focus on delivery and marketing.

Cons:

For me as a small business I'd like to see the threshold raised slightly for the second tier of the monthly subscription price. Currently it sits at 50, perhaps 75 would be better. I'd also like the "New" status to automatically be removed from a client after they've attended their first class. I'd also like to see more customisation options for notifications for courses.

Alternatives Considered: Acuity Scheduling, Tula and Bookwhen

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: User friendly, intuitive, reasonable price (not the cheapest but not the most expensive)

Makes my life so much easier!

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

I love how easy it is to use. And if I ever do get stuck on something the telephone support team are super friendly and helpful. I also appreciate how quick it is to set up and get going.

Cons:

I actually can’t think of anything I dislike about the software.

Alternatives Considered: Fresha and 10to8

Reasons for Choosing TeamUp: MINDBODY took so long to set up and seemed really complex and expensive for what I needed it for.

Switched From: Mindbody

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: I was recommended TeamUp by at least 3 people who I trust.

Bootcamp

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Really great, super helpful when I have any questions.

Pros:

Super simple, free app for members and they can book and cancel on their end. Dashboard is easy and I can change things on the back end.

Cons:

Wish there was a push notification to the app and not just the mass email - incase of class changes etc

Alternatives Considered: Glofox

Reasons for Choosing TeamUp: Old membership platform was terrible, always missing members and actions weren’t done so I lost money

Switched From: Ashbourne Membership Management

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: Cheaper

Does what it says, and always improving

5.0 12 months ago

Comments: I don't think about TeamUp very often, because it just works. This is exactly what I want from our booking software.

Pros:

TeamUp makes your life easier, by making all tasks a bit simpler. I especially like the easy engagement from staff who are clearly trying to make the software better and working hard to listen to customers. There have been multiple upgrades in our first year of using the software.

Cons:

The native app just isn't good enough and it's much easier to direct customers to use the website, even on their phones. This is the major thing holding TeamUp back right now.

Wouldn't run my business without it

4.0 12 months ago

Comments: Very positive. When I have had a problem, TeamUp support have the answers.

Pros:

All in one package, integrated with my website so my clients access mainly through there. When the lockdowns hit, TeamUp were really quick to integrate with Zoom which removed so many headaches.

Cons:

Not sure the dashboard updates itself all the time, some of the attendance figures don't ring true.

Alternatives Considered: Bookwhen

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: Function rich, took payments, dashboard, reports, integrations with website.

TeamUp Review

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: The support given during set up and ongoing has been amazing. Not only is there online support, TeamUp have always returned my calls, taken as long as needed to help with any questions. I have been given advice on different marketing ideas, which has been particularly helpful. I have also been offered suggestions to utilise all areas of the TeamUp software.

Pros:

TeamUp is a comprehensive software package. It offers so much more than just a ‘booking platform’. I particularly like the ability to send emails to clients at different stages of their membership i.e. new customers, slipping away etc. The software also allows you to track your income. There is the scope to customise memberships and classes to suite your individual business.

Cons:

Initially understanding how clients viewed TeamUp as opposed to the business user.

Alternatives Considered: Mindbody

Reasons for Switching to TeamUp: Whilst Mindbody I'm sure is a superb product, for the size of my company at this time and the budget I had to spend, I felt Mindbody was not suitable for me. TeamUp offered a comprehensive system that my business has room to grow in to at an affordable price.

Solid, all round platform that makes up in functionality what it lacks in gloss

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Overall, I credit the overall success of my business model to the flexibility of TeamUp. Being able to set up the class passes, including the First Class Free, and having different pricing models for the various classes, courses, and subscriptions has been great. My clients are mostly all over 60 years old, and the fact that 95% of them find using the online registration easy...is amazing!

Pros:

I love that it was able to handle both Class Passes, and courses, and monthly subscriptions. For the Class Passes, I hold the same class in different locations throughout the week, and my clients are able to attend any one. My business you would have thought was super-simple, as I'm just one instructor, but it's suprising how many 'exceptions' to my standard classes I've had to accommodate as part of my business, and mostly TeamUp has been flexible enough for me to figure out a way to set it up. For example, my First Class Free policy, that I was able to create a special single-use pass for. Something as simple as a Class Pass can be surprisingly complicated when you think about all the options....but teamUp handles pretty much everything I've needed.

Cons:

The reports are pretty useless for revenue forecasting or for much real customer management. It's not possible to email a list of 'people who have ever attended my Friday class' for instance - important for when I have to cancel at the last minute, and I know that not everyone who will turn up has actually registered. Also i would love a report showing how many class passes were outstanding, so I could anticipate when people would need to be renewing. From the courses, the one feature that I've found difficult to implement is for my dance classes, where there could be a couple, or an individual. TeamUp expects one person = one admission = one price, so handling couples or multiple registrations under a single name is not possible without some creativity!

Saves Time, Money and Stress!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Incredibly good - the support is amazing with progressive development, working in tandem with their clients. It looks good and when you know which features you want to use, it is straight forward.

Pros:

Using TeamUp removes the emotion and stress of having to chase clients for payment, not to mention the time required to do so. It means my relationship with the client is maintained, less time on admin, less financial accounting (I only account 3 x per year now instead of every month) I can spend more time do what I love - teaching and growing my business. Also, last-minute cancellations are paid for without any questions! I can keep all client notes for the classes in one place, so any other teachers covering can easily track any issues they need to contend with in class. Being able to take registers in class saves time and costs. TeamUp are continuously developing and working with their client's needs, I'm always impressed by this. The customer service is 2nd to none.

Cons:

It's not so easy for clients to sign their selves up if there are multiple classes and memberships to choose from, but this may be the generation of clients I deal with! Plus the pro-rata amount that automatically bills if they do set their selves up doesn't fit into my payment model. So, I still tend to this. TeamUp fits into 80% of my business model amazingly well and has made me change the way I work for the better. The 20% that doesn't fit in has to be worked on manually still. It would be ideal if the reporting would show 121 clients that they are being billed for classes that fell on xxx date so they can account for it. The Direct debit model fits in perfectly for business running continuously, I run for 12-14 week blocks, across 35-38 weeks of the year, which means clients who leave have to be balanced with a small amount outstanding either way. I'd love to use the class swap feature but it's not configurable for my 12-14 week blocks. When booking themselves into summer 'flexy classes', it would be ideal if they can add multiple classes to a 'basket' and then pay at the end. None of these points are about 'not liking the software' But points that would make it even better for my business.

Wished I had used this system sooner!

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

The system is easy to use and team up were great in helping me move the information I had onto the system. I was reluctant to use a system like this as I love my spreadsheets. However few friends were using this system and recommended it. I took a year to decide and better late than never. It saves me time as clients have the option to manage there accounts and those that do not like IT, I can help them. No matter where I am, I can check the system and reply to queries, rather than waiting til get home or taking spreadsheets with me. Payment options are flexible and I can give my clients the option of cash or gocardless, which works really well. Whoever answers the phone or replies to your emails are supportive and really helpful at Team up. This for me is the biggest benefit of any system. Does not matter how good the system is, the support has to be there to.

Cons:

There are lots of ways to do things, which can be overwelming to begin with. However like anything new it just takes a while to discover all the options and what best suits you. The team up support is brilliant and are able to assist with all my queries.

Great software with excellent customer support

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Really positive - has streamlined class management for sure.

Pros:

Honestly the best thing about TeamUp is the amazing customer support. Any time myself or a member has had an issues, somebody has been on the end of the phone to get it sorted. I also find it very user friendly and like that new features get rolled out.

Cons:

With class packs, if a member goes in and books all their sessions up front (e.g. they buy a 10-class pack and register for 10 classes), they have no way of knowing when they have used those sessions up i.e. there is no prompt. Obvioulsy they can (and should) go in and check their profile, but most people don't. And in my experience some people are quite bad at remembering to check these things and then just rock up to classes, sometimes without a valid membership. It would be great if, on the date of the last usage, they get sent a reminder that their pack has now been used up. I know that there are automated emails if somebody's unused credits are about to expire, but nothing for if their membership has actually run out.

More functions and discount vouchers

4.0 4 months ago

Pros:

I like how universal and common team up is, most customers are very farmiliar with it. I love how staff and instructors can easily access their class information

Cons:

There needs to be a duplicate course/class option to make timetabling for subsequent months better. Discount vouchers don't work well. They don't work at all on drop in classes and vouchers worth more than the value of the course are impossible to redeem the full amount on.It would be good if customers could buy multiple tickets etc too.
