About Paymo
Paymo allows you to manage projects, track work time, invoice your clients, and measure profitability from the same platform.
The customer support is RAPID and knowing that I'm speaking to good humans is that authentic extra that many other platforms lack.
The timeline for viewing schedules was very hard to use and my team and I just oped to ignore our managers push to use Paymo's timeline scheduling and use google calendar.

Avis paymo
Comments: I highly recommend paymo to all professionals and business personnel.
Pros:
Honestly, I have used several project management software but Paymo particularly interested me with its speed of task management, expense tracking as well as its simple and customizable user interface.
Cons:
I don't find any disadvantages for this software in terms of payment functionalities, everything is good.

Paymo represents agility in the execution of projects and quality assurance.
Comments: Paymo is an effective platform, which does not require a learning curve on the part of the people who use it, in addition to the fact that many business rules associated with the execution of projects are already implemented. On the other hand, we have visibility for the prioritization of tasks, the notification to the participants of each activity, and in general, Paymo can grow based on the needs and projects that our organization can handle.
Pros:
Paymo focuses on providing a simple and efficient platform, with the implementation of those functionalities that really generate value, in addition to offering a fairly complete Dashboard for generating reports and useful information for stakeholders. With Paymo we keep our work team focused, in addition to having the mobile APP to be able to record progress directly from where we are, in real time, and notify about progress. People and users can work on more than one project at the same time and each of them knows the tasks they must perform, the times in which they want the activities to be completed, as well as being able to attach support information. With Poymo we can register with the Timer option the work dedicated to each activity and in this way we can give greater visibility to the Project Management.
Cons:
Paymo has demonstrated that it meets the objectives of any project, and they are precisely: being able to offer visibility for the fulfillment of each and every one of the tasks, also guarantees that team members have delivery dates at hand and can report the advances, considering the participation of multiple projects, however, it may be that for more complex projects in which team management, use of tools and acquisition of supplies for execution are required, project managers require other complementary tools such as sheets calculation to manage what we cannot detail from the software itself, however this does not apply to all projects and may or may not be a limitation in many service areas related to traditional activity tracking.
Great product that's ALWAYS improving. The BEST!
Comments: I have tried soooo many task/project management tools (seriously, like 25+....) and Paymo is, by far, the best and easiest to use. I use it every single day and can't imagine running my freelance business without it.
Pros:
Paymo makes my day-to-day life easier by keeping all of my time-tracking and task/project management in order and in one (easy to navigate) spot.
Cons:
While every now and then I run into an issue in the app, their customer support is TOP NOTCH and they are always improving and updating things to better the user experience.
Monopolize you cause you can't export ANYTHING easily
Comments: Would NOT recommend it to anyone who has even the slightest of "outside the box" process for projects or billing/invoices.
Pros:
Yet another system that after several months of use only did what we needed it too at 75% of the way, then AFTER buying into the "huge discount" and special they had going, did I find out they do not allow refunds at all! If you put ANY data into the system and ever need to export it for any reasons ...find a data entry person and hope you didn't enter a lot of information because unless you are a developer that can setup custom API's...your info is stuck in their system! You can enter clients, companies, etc. and change view to "Table" and see it in table mode, but that view still only gives you the general company information, NOT the contacts for that company and that is 1 of 2, yes that is right 2 places in the entire system of everything you may have entered where you can download/export that view into Excel/CSV file....everything else is PDF if you are lucky!! If you are a VERY small, VERY basic bookkeeping/accounting freelancer (NO TEAM, just you and very basic billing) - fine, it may work...but if you have more than 1 person in your team other than you, have different rates or even the SLIGHTEST out of the norm billing or cycles...GOOD LUCK!!! I am furious with this system after being told what it could do and I explained in detail, and "oh yeah, that is not a problem at all"...only to find out, everything I explained about what we needed, went in one ear and out the other just to make the sale...now I have a barely usable system and wasted $$$$!!
Cons:
Can't export anything unless you have a developer standing bye. System is very "inside the box" thinking even after being told it would easily do what I had explained that I needed it to do support seems to take longer than usual and they are quick to respond with an answer that has NOTHING to do with what you originally asked (bots maybe?!?!) Can't get a refund, no matter how many lies they told you to make the sale in the first place!!!

Hi Cameron, Sorry to see you disappointed. Our goal is to help you improve the way you work, not to sell you on something. Indeed, you can export client, project, user lists, as well as time reports in csv format - invoices and Gantt Charts are available in PDF only. However, due to the fact that there's no standardised data structure for project management data, the only practical way to export it is via our API. And no, we're no bots, and don't force anyones hand to make a sale.
The Software of Many Hats
Pros:
With Paymo, payment and invoicing processing is easy It comes with time tracking from projects and tasks Makes remote monitoring easy
Cons:
With Paymo, there is nothing like impossibility. No issues
Alternatives Considered:
Paymo is fundamental to our day-to-day work at BOOMER
Comments: As a Project Manager, working with Paymo is central to our daily work at the agency. Having all the clients and projects organized, being able to assign each team member their tasks and exchange feedback, all on one platform, keeps me and my team much more organized and saves me many, many emails.
Pros:
The creation of Projects and Tasks is easy and intuitive. Having the freedom to define the status of each project and create deadline alerts is also useful to ensure that each team member is on top of each task. One of the most important features is being able to exchange feedback in each task, keeping the conversation organized. The time tracking function is also very important to ensure that we are always on track with the various tasks and that we budget projects correctly.
Cons:
The desktop app has been updated and works better but could still improve. The mobile app is still confusing and hard to work with, specially when, as a Project Manager, I have multiple projects with infinite tasks assigned to me.
Alternatives Considered:
Paymo is the easiest project/billing/payment platform I've ever used and their support is fantastic.
Comments: I spend half as much time getting things done in Paymo compared to my last system (Bonsai). My old solution wasn't horrible, it's just that Paymo is so much better.I'm spending less time in the software because everything's seamless, and that's with my number of projects more than doubling right around the time I was onboarding. Seriously, the support has been fantastic.
Pros:
Before I talk about my experience with individual features, it's super important to me to say how incredibly responsive and helpful Paymo's support team is. Throughout my onboarding process, we ran into a few issues (some my fault, and a couple small glitches on Paymo's side), but their support team is the best I've ever had. They're fast, helpful, and are serious about taking care of me. Shout out to [sensitive content hidden], who have both been so helpful! The entire reason I switched to Paymo (from Bonsai) was because my old solution was so frustrating in locking me into dumb processes from Project > Tasks > Estimate > Complete Tasks > Invoicing, it was a nightmare. I have retainer clients that will send us a set of small 1 or 2 hour quick tasks, but billing against them was a nightmare because of how Bonsai locked you into their Step 1, step 2, step 3 process.Paymo doesn't get in my way like Bonsai did, it's soooo much easier to track time, capture a subset of timesheet hours into an invoice, and send it on. No kidding, Paymo saves me about 15 minutes on every invoice I sent and probably saves at least 30 minutes for each estimates/quotes.The Paymo macOS app is phenomenally convenient for tracking time on projects. I will never again be without a time tracking app like Paymo, I've recaptured so many lost billable hours by using it.Their Paymo Payments system has worked great for me. I don't have all that much to comment on because it's just seamless for the client.
Cons:
I ran into some issues when signing up for their payments system (their payment system works great, this is just the sign-up process). At the time, I was a sole proprietorship and I don't think their processes were tuned that well for my type of business because I had to send in a lot of documentation to get approved (I think it was for fraud prevention measures).BUT, I want to say [sensitive content hidden] was so helpful, and really made it her mission to handle it and get it pushed through, which she did. And she's also lovely and friendly to talk to.There have been one or two other small glitches I ran into that were both handled by support immediately. Neither of them were mission-critical or blocked anything I had to get done. Bpgo
Alternatives Considered:
Great tool for tracking time on multiple projects and clients.
Comments: Overall I have had a good overall experience with Paymo. It efficiently does what I need it to do - track time. In the future I may take advantage of other features. When I have needed help, the support team has always been quick to respond.
Pros:
Right now I only use Paymo to track time on various projects for different clients. I love that I can easily run a timer for a specific project and client right from the mobile app and manually adjust the logged times as needed (e.g., reduce the time logged if I forget to stop the timer). I also like that there are various options for adding time in addition to using the timer. For example, you can make a manual timesheet entry, or enter time 'in bulk' (without tying it to a specific timeframe).
Cons:
The time reports functionality can be a little confusing. There are a lot of variables to choose from, and the resulting report doesn't always seem to match up with the options I check.
Alternatives Considered:
Paymo is your project management partner.
Comments: One of the best project management and task management applications and I do recommend people to try it as there is a free way to use it at the beginning and if you like it then you can get more features and pay.
Pros:
The time tracking feature in Paymo is really great. The dashboards they have are even greater.
Cons:
There are limitations with the mobile application in functionality compared to my desktop application.
Fantastic
Comments: It is a fantastic task management software. With these great functions we manage our projects, our times, monitoring, task planning and even the precise time billing of projects. It is good for companies, creative agencies, web development marketing teams... We highly recommend you
Pros:
This software is too good. It allows my team and I to manage tasks, track our times with a timer option, allows us to know what everyone must do in their own time. It allows us to manage our projects and billing with accurate time for the delivery of our projects. It also allows us to share (file, documents and note), online assistance...
Cons:
With the effectiveness of this software, we have not found a feature that displeases us within our company
Paymo is the Best Task-Managing Platform I've Used
Comments: Overall Paymo is the best task managing platform I've used. It's clean, simple and user friendly. I would definitely recommend Paymo to other companies.
Pros:
I like the flexibility of Paymo. Things are tailored to each day because it makes planning out large projects easier. It also allows for more productivity because we can see what needs to get done for each client right on the main screen. Paymo is also clean and pleasing to look at.
Cons:
Something I would like to see improved is the "Progress" settings. As a design/web development company, we have a lot of projects that need to get approved by multiple people so we constantly have dozens of tasks pending/stuck. If there could be a section made specifically for stuck/pending/follow up tasks just to make our Home page less cluttered that would be helpful.

Thank you, Taylor! I think there's a fix to your problem: project status. You can customize them as you wish to better reflect your process: https://help.paymoapp.com/en/articles/977872-how-to-use-project-statuses Then filter after them for a top-level view of what you're interested:https://help.paymoapp.com/en/articles/888757-how-do-i-filter-projects-by-status Did you try them out? Best Project Management Solution
Comments: It is really easy to keep track of all the work that has been done. I'm not sure if it's generally the best project management software out there, but it definitely is the best for our company and our business model.
Pros:
In the beginning it was just a software that we could use to time track all our tasks and projects, but it grew on us and right now our business depends on it. It is really easy to use, very easy to keep an eye on the team, and extremely useful in keeping track of all the work that the team does.
Cons:
There are not many cons to this software, but if I had to nitpick I would probably say it could have more financial management features, since this is the software that we use for invoicing and keeping track of our finances.

Hi Liviu, Kudos for your trust in us :) Would you mind telling us what additional financial management features do you want to see come to light? I'm asking since we're going to revamp the whole invoicing module, so it's best to submit your use case and suggestions on our community forum: https://community.paymoapp.com/ Thank you!
Software that surves me as a freelance individual for years.
Comments:
I use Paymo since it's the first version. Back those days I used the Paymo Plus desktop app, recording absolutely everything I do on my computer. By the end of the day, I reorganized everything. It helped me to find "holes" in my schedule, where I spent too much time on social networks and the internet.
Today I plan my week, I collect data about my tasks, searching where can I improve myself. I see how many clients do I have since I started freelancing. All of them there! I manage who is an important client, which one is the most paying one.
I often use Timesheets set to a weekly view, so I can see how much I busy this week.
A homepage quickly shows all my tasks and a dashboard helps me to see my progress.
Pros:
Paymo can serve big companies with a large number of users and departments. For me as an individual, Paymo is one place for managing my clients, projects, task, and time. One of the first and absolutely necessary things for me as a freelancer is good, simple to use time management tool. Paymo has an implemented live timer that is connected to all my tasks and projects of a specific client. Not less important is the ability to produce smart time reports I send to my clients and get paid by. Half of my tasks are in Hebrew, and Paymo works just great with RTL languages. This is crucial for my time of business. The report could be set by tasks, days, or other specific categories. The timer exists in the browsers when using the softer, but it also has a completely synchronized desktop app which I use for the most, and mobile app, which I use when I work outside my office.
Cons:
Actually, Paymo has more features I'm sure I would use, like Gantt Chart, or Invoices, though this feature costs extra $19.95 per month and I prefer not to pay for it since it's not so necessary for my business.

Awesome issue management software with good time tracking
Comments: I would recommend this service to every middle sized company, which is looking for a good solid isseu tracking software.
Pros:
The time tracking and the desktop app for tracking are one of the best I've seen so far. This is one of the major point we choose this service of others. The issue mgmt and reports are also quite handy.
Cons:
The resource management could be improved and also some minor bugs.

Hey there, Our team scheduler is our spear-of-attack so to say, hence it's being constantly updated. Just recently, we've launched a remaining hours feature that allows you to see the available bookable hours at a project and user level in a simpler format: https://help.paymoapp.com/en/articles/3578183-view-at-a-glance-the-remaining-hours-at-a-project-and-user-level Expect more updates in this direction, like the ability to directly book a resource from the full task details. Cheers!

Small team planning
Comments: I really care about our employees. Because we're a small flock doing what we love every day we're even more like a family. The expense and time tracking tools help me get everyone paid accurately which is greatly appreciated.
Pros:
Billing, invoicing, expenses, time tracking, project planning, task planning and tracking (in app), Gantt charts. 50 or 100 GB storage. With every new account user I invite I can select their permissions.
Cons:
Time tracker doesn't shut off or pause if left on by accident or if I step away from the screen. Project manager isn't as robust as the rest of the software and Gantt charts aren't included in the small office plan.

Easy. Organized. Effective.
Comments: With Paymo I am able to solve problems and experience benefit. With the project tab I am able to see all of my projects, whether they be complete, inactive, archived, etc. I am also able to view tasks and task lists in different ways that allow me to effectively organize and plan my work day. Invoicing has become easier, as I am able to assign a client to an invoice and have it sent directly to the client's email address. Since my business is mostly run by rates, Paymo's time tracking feature along with the app helps me effectively track my time to charge my clients with the most accurate price. This also helps me with time sheets and time reporting, allowing me to plan for future clients to completely maximize profit.
Pros:
Paymo's seamless design makes project management easy. With a simple menu sideline, it is easy to access all that your business needs to run in an organized and efficient manner. It is easy to add users, manage your subscription plan, view and add clients. Paymo's project tab is where you can view, manage, and assign projects and tasks to any user. Collaboration is EASY. And I love Paymo's Accounting tab also. Invoicing, expense input, estimates, and even recurring invoicing has never been simpler. I like how I was able to start with the free plan, then once my business grew I was able to easily switch to a more expansive plan.
Cons:
I wish that I could have used more invoices in the free plan, just to grow my business a little bit more before spending more, but I am loving the subscription plan I am on at the moment.

Paymo Makes Organization Easy
Comments: Customer service is top-notch. Their helpdesk has always answered promptly when I've messaged them. I was looking for an economical way to track time, invoice clients, and track my expenses, and I have all that and more with Paymo!
Pros:
As an independent contractor, Paymo keeps me organized when it comes to clients, billing, time tracking, and expenses. Paymo gives me an at-a-glance look at where I'm at for the month or year, and makes it easy for me come tax time. Highly recommend Paymo for a robust, yet economical, option for freelancers.
Cons:
One thing that I ran into is that there isn't a way to record a bonus from a client. So, it looks like a regular invoice when you enter it to track income received.
Alternatives Considered:
The easiest time tracking software
Comments: I have used Paymo since the early days of my business (2014) and whilst I have seen many other time tracking tools being suggested by other business owners, I've always been perfectly satisfied with the efficiency of Paymo.
Pros:
Paymo is super easy to use, and setting up new clients, projects and tasks is very simple.
Cons:
I probably don't take advantage of all of the features of Paymo, so there's no cons for me as I only use the time tracking and reporting features.

Utilizing paymo Now is a great time to track your projects.
Comments: Simplify the project follow-up and control process as much as possible. All members of the work team now have the opportunity to do so, because by assigning priority to each member of the team, all project priorities will be determined in the end, and following them will be a simple process that does not demand considerable effort.
Pros:
Paymo streamlines the process of tracking multiple projects at once, allowing for effective and efficient project monitoring and follow-up on multiple activities in a professional manner, where you can easily find all required tasks, as well as all data and information pertaining to any of your projects. One of the leading ideas in project management is the participation principle, in which all members of the work team and stakeholders are partners in the follow-up and control of tasks, each according to his or her specialization, saving time and effort and resulting in humiliating results in the end. The program's archiving capability for all project data is unique, and it aids in the storage and retrieval of all data at any moment. Financial claims, completion rates, delayed activities, and risk analysis are among the reports you'll receive based on the information you submit. Finally, one of the most essential ways to improve the project team's performance is to save time and effort. Reducing office work time allows the project team to focus more on fieldwork, resulting in the project being completed on time, on budget, and to the appropriate quality standards.
Cons:
Overall, I don't think there's anything I don't like about the application; it's easy to use and understand for all members of the team, and it applies novel display strategies.

Excellent Time Tracking and Team Scheduling Application
Pros:
easy to use, reliable, accurate time tracking. Robust features. Unlimited clients and projects. Each project will have a dashboard showing total hours worked and how many tasks out of total have been completed. Projects can be tracked by custom categories, like bid, active, on hold, lost/won, archived. Task view can be switched between list, table, and kanban; users can collaborate by commenting on tasks, attaching files, assigning the task, and setting due dates. Team Scheduling allows you to see who is busy (or overwhelmed) and who is free to work on more tasks. Accounting features: Invoicing, Estimates, Expenses. The built-in timer makes tracking time spent working on tasks quick and easy.
Cons:
Paymo is constantly improving this software and adding great, new features. One that would be helpful is the ability for each user to have a view showing all the tasks assigned to them, sorted by due date. Currently there is a My Tasks section, but it only sorts by Project Name.

"Smoothly Manage Your Business with Paymo Software: A Comprehensive Review"
Comments: My overall experience with Paymo software has been very positive. It is an efficient and user-friendly project management tool that helps to streamline processes, keep everything organized, and ensure that all of our team tasks are tracked properly. We are using Paymo to solve the problem of having a lack of visibility into our team's workload and progress. By using Paymo, we can keep our projects on track and ensure deadlines are met. Additionally, we can track the time spent on each task, which helps us to optimize our resources and ensure that our clients are getting the best value for their money. We have also been able to improve communication and collaboration between our team members by using Paym's chat feature. The benefits we have realized include better project management, improved communication and collaboration, and increased efficiency.
Pros:
Pros:1. Paymo Software is easy to use and has a very intuitive user interface.2. It is highly flexible and customizable to fit the needs of any business.3. The software integrates seamlessly with existing business processes, making it easy to implement.4. It offers a wide range of features such as project management, time tracking, invoicing, and more.5. It provides real-time updates and notifications to keep users informed of project progress.6. The reporting and analytics tools help users to gain insights into their projects and teams.7. Paymo Software is secure, reliable, and backed by a strong customer support team.
Cons:
One of the main cons of Paymo Software is its lack of customization options. It does not provide users with the ability to tailor the software to their exact needs, which can be a barrier for those who require a highly specialized solution. Additionally, the user interface can be confusing to navigate and use, making it difficult for some to use the software effectively. Finally, the integration process with existing business processes can be complex and time-consuming, which can be a hindrance for some organizations.
Paymo pays for itself...
Comments: As a very small business - there are only the two of us - I needed a way to accurately track the time we were spending on client projects. Paymo does that for us in a very straightforward way, and the click-and-create reports mean that I can see the information I need for invoicing and get an overview of how we're working through the agreed hours very easily. Not only is our invoicing more accurate - nearly all our monthly invoices have increased as we're not forgetting the odd half-hour here and there - but I also have the answers to the 'what were we doing all day' questions when we spent time on non-chargeable tasks and I'm able to keep a better track of those tasks, too. (I don't use Paymo's invoicing facility - it seem straightforward enough, but I want to do all my accounting in one application to simplify the VAT process.)
Pros:
Support is fantastic - I have only had to ask for help a couple of times, but when I do the built-in online help facility means I get an answer very quickly, using language I understand. The other thing that is great is the flexibility of the reporting module. One of my clients likes to see how we're using up the agreed project hours as we go through, so I have created a report just for him and given him the link. He's happy to be getting the information he needs to plan without my having to spend time getting it for him.
Cons:
Most of the things that were on my wish list have been incorporated into recent releases. The only one I would still like would be the ability to share reports within the company - at the moment, I do a screenshot of the configuration and my employee copies it. It's not a huge issue, but it would be useful to be able to have personal and shared (company-wide) reports.

A Game Changer
Comments: Timekeeping. We’re able to look back at past projects to see the real time we invested in them to help make our new estimates as realistic as possible.
Pros:
Paymo allows us to track time easily and provide monthly reports to clients, as well as include PayPal functionality for invoices. The Paymo team is quick to communicate when we have issues or feedback. Other similar products have tried to sell themselves to us but we tell them we’re 100% happy with Paymo.
Cons:
The only improvement right now I’d like would be to convert monthly time reports into invoices for our clients who we invoice monthly for our hours.

Appreciate you, Brian, for being loyal!! I know how crowded the productivity market is today, so this speaks a lot. What you're telling me leans more towards a monthly retainer functionality - correct me if I'm wrong. Pay-me-More with Paymo
Comments: Though I still use other apps to track status of my projects, Paymo is irreplaceable for invoicing and time-tracking -- and most importantly these two functions are tied, so you are constantly reminded that time is ticking. It's simple and neat, and it takes little time to get familiar with the basics.
Pros:
My two favorite features are invoicing and timer. Invoicing is neat, the design is simple and clean and your clients will like it. As for timer, it's dominating your screen, so it saves me from distractions of all kinds. Overall, what I like the best about this software is the blend of simplicity and feature-rich functionality.
Cons:
Perhaps, the pricing can be more sensitive to freelancers, or adding a layer with less feature but more affordable. But nothing else, really.

Growing with Paymo
Comments: We are able to clearly see where our staff hours are being spent, against which clients and projects.
Pros:
Paymo suited our business need to manage both time and projects. Its simplicity was a key reason for opting to choose Paymo over the masses of other tools available. Paymo has improved and grown during the last 2 years, introducing new tools that have demonstrated the companies willingness to listen to their users and add functions and improve current functionality
Cons:
Unable to 'repeat' projects, at the touch of a button, always have to re-enter all the details, even if the project repeats.
