Perfect Match of Capability and Efficiency

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: I have found the Kanban Tool effective enough to build our business (and personal) process steps around it's natural capabilities so that our teams can work on multiple boards with the proper access protections. The single-sign on capability makes it easy to ensure authentication and convenient log-in. Having full control over columns, swimlanes, card types and card templates makes each board unique in how it addresses the need of that board. The Power-Ups are also really nice optional elements that add capability with full control for each board independently.

Pros:

I've been a user of Kanban Tool for many years now. It was initially selected to support a high school competitive robotics team, but it quickly became my recommendation for my personal and corporate Kanban needs. The standout capability that I like over competing tools (such as MS Planner) is the convenience of taking a tasking email sent to me and forwarding it to a specific board with optional identifiers for swimlane, column, card type, assigned user, priority, and due date. This ensures that no task sent by email ever gets lost and is positioned to be processed immediately. It also allows me to use Siri to create tickets throughout my day.

Cons:

There's nothing that I would change about the Kanban Tool.

Kanban Tool, a fully adaptive tool for the execution of agile projects.

5.0 2 years ago

Comments: Kanban Tool has unlimited use to maintain order and structure in practically all the activities that we can plan in an organization, what we do with the Kanban Tool and with a whiteboard depends on our imagination and how we like to work. The tool faithfully meets the objectives and is an excellent support to achieve a transparent and successful execution, in addition to not only maintaining control with our work team but also keeping our clients informed about the progress.

Pros:

Definitely, by using a board in Kanban Tool, we can considerably increase our productivity in the execution of projects and streamline our work team. In addition, by using the time estimation reports and graphs offered by the platform, we can monitor the performance of our staff and generate graphs that allow us to continuously improve our work process, without having to wait until the end to know exactly the efficiency. . individual or group.Another great feature is that we can make our team work in small groups, combined with team members from different departments and achieve more dynamic results without clutter, since the contributions of all people are based on well-defined tasks, with estimates of time and total visualization by the entire work team.

Cons:

Kanban Tool has become a tool for daily use for the execution of projects that require the participation of technical personnel, also for software development, completing tasks in a project, providing services and much more. However, I think that for large projects, we should invest time to correctly plan our boards and not design them with too many cards. I particularly prefer to separate the project into stages and design a dashboard for each one of them, and in this way I can more easily manage the activities and not generate views with too much information.

Great, reliable, user friendly product

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Fast, reliable and easy to use, easy to customize, overall very user friendly. I really liked that it's more about function than aesthetics (even though I really love the way it looks, it maybe is just not for everyone)

Pros:

Ease of use and ease of transfer from task managment apps, very nice customization features, you can make it look the way you can really overview all the tasks for work. I really like the power-ups, add-ons that make it easier to work on and keep track of tasks.

Cons:

You can't choose which swimlane or column is the 'Completed' section of the table. This way, I get some negative due dates on tasks, even though I put it to the Completed swimlane, but since I can't make that section the finished tasks section, I have to manually delete the due date.

The tool that takes your projects to another nicel

4.0 6 months ago

Comments: It really is one of the best project management tools, managing tasks has never been so easy

Pros:

The most impressive thing about this tool is that it is super easy to manage projects and tasks, users adapt very quickly and easily to using it

Cons:

I don't really like the way of displaying the tasks, it's kind of obsolete. I really think it can be made a little more suitable for today compared to others.

the best tool for organization

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: This year I was looking for a tool to organize all my courses, and I found this one. I really love this tool because it's very useful. I noticed that I improved considerably in organization, and I believe I can say that I obtained better grades by putting absolutely everything I had to do on it. It's a great tool for students.

Pros:

I love the simplicity of the platform. It's very useful if you don't want to spend time figuring out how to use every tool. I really appreciate it, and I also find the aesthetics very comfortable. I organize my university courses with it, and it's very useful to put all my tasks with dates so I don't forget them.

Cons:

There aren't many tools to change the color of the tables and the background.

Flexible, Intuitive Time and Task Management

5.0 7 years ago

Comments: I was recently on the hunt for a task management tool that I could run separate from the commercial products used at my workplace. This would allow me to add in personal tasks and lower level tasks that weren't appropriate to track in the enterprise boards I was a part of. I came upon Kanban Tool and was immediately impressed by the set up options; At a basic level, you already have access to basic, time and event driven Kanban boards, as well as several types of team boards for collaboration. From there, you can further customize the columns, number of lanes, and functions. You can import and export tasks through .csv and and calendar, making everything portable. In practice, I was impressed with the simplicity of the cards on the board. They can be created by color, helpful when trying to manage a bunch of different workflows like I am. At a glance, I can also see the priority, days until due (or past due days!), and the number of sub-tasks within a card. That's right - You can set up checklists WITHIN the card, which is hugely useful. If you like to have a card for each subtask, you can do that to, and mark subsequent tasks as blocked until the subtask is complete. I also enabled a cool extra that causes cards to "fade" over time, giving another visual cue to things that aren't getting done. Time tracking for each task was a bit of a revelation. Once I got in the habit of shifting every task I was working (The timer starts as soon as you put it in the "in progress" zone), I got really good info on what type of tasks were chewing up time, and even on the fact that I was working on a lot of things throughout the day that I didn't think to track. Finally, Kanban Tool offers what they call "Power-ups", which are basically plugins. The ones I have been really excited about are the ability to attach files to Dropbox or Onedrive, a custom Chromecast feature that allows the board to be cast up to a TV (Great for my family chore board in particular!), and one that allows you to manipulate checklists without opening cards. In the end, the only real niggle I had with the product was that while I can manually arrange cards in the To Do area (I use multiple swim lanes), one lane can't be longer than the others. I am an enthusiastic product researcher, so I was a bit surprised when my productivity management hunt just lost steam after starting with Kanban Tool. For flexibility and daily use, I couldn't ask for more.

Pros:

Flexibility, extensibility, intuitive interface.

Cons:

Not being able to fully manually arrange to do items.

Kanban Tool Review

4.0 last year

Comments: Overall, Kanban tool is an incredibly useful tool for managing projects and I find it a great help in my work.

Pros:

Kanban Tool is an incredibly useful tool for project management. I particularly liked its ability to visualize tasks and the progress of a project. The visual cards on the board make it easy to see which tasks have been completed, who is working on a task and what tasks are coming up in the future. I also like the ability to create custom boards and prioritize tasks. It makes it easy to clearly see the progress of a project and what needs to be done to complete it. The notifications also keep me up to date with the progress of a project which is really helpful. I also find the collaboration features easy to use and they help to keep everyone on the same page

Cons:

Honestly, I haven’t found anything I have disliked about Kanban Tool.

Kanban Tool Review

4.0 12 months ago

Pros:

One of the most valuable aspects of Kanban Tool is the ability to have a consolidated view of everyone's tasks on a single board, which not only streamlines project management but also facilitates the efficient allocation of new tasks as needed. This centralized visibility promotes enhanced collaboration, enables better task prioritization, and simplifies the process of assigning new responsibilities to team members, ultimately contributing to improved productivity and project success.

Cons:

While it's effective for task management and project tracking, it can be costly, challenging to access support, and has a steep learning curve.

A great tool for taking the lessons from the software development world into other domains.

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

When working as software development manager with multiple teams juggling many priorities and interruptions, I found the Kanban methodology extraordinarily beneficial in helping to organize multiple complex work streams. This affordable Kanban tool provides the same benefits for managing my personal affairs and volunteer organization commitments, by helping me easily break down often daunting/unpleasant epics into manageable chunks and defining the custom workflow I need to most effectively actually progress/accomplish them.

Cons:

No shortcomings yet for my use but will update if I uncover any.

Cons:

I think the ui could be improved. It is a little outdated.I also want the ability to do reocurring cards every other week or every 3 weeks. I would like to have a card reoccur and also set a due date so many days after it reoccurs.

Comments: I am a power user, so it is never easy for me to find a software that fits all my needs, but Kanban Tool performance and beauty went above and beyond my expectations, I can't remember the last time when I was this happy with a software. I highly recommend to everyone to try it. Trial does not require a credit card, and support is available to answer any questions that users might have. It is a product made and maintained with love and care, it is perfect.

Pros:

I have tried many Kanban solutions out there but non comes anywhere near Kanban Tool. It is a whole new level of flexibility and clean and beautiful UI. I was able to find every single functionality that I was looking for, therefore I was able to set it up exactly the way I wanted. The UI is so clean and beautiful that it helps me instantly clear my mind and focus on the work with joy. Perfect tool if you need to add extra clarity to your life.

Great tool for productivity.

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: Improved efficiency and team output.

Pros:

It's a great tool to improve team productivity. Whether you're in software development, sales, or marketing, it's awesome. You can easily view everyone's tasks on one board and then assign new ones, rate tasks based on difficulty and time needed, set deadlines, and more.

Cons:

It is the best tool for project tracking and staying on task and productive. The only little complaint I have is that unless you log in, you can't easily see all the changes that have been made.

Kanban helps everyone build a more dynamic workflow.

4.0 2 years ago

Comments: Love it

Pros:

The organization and ability to track Jira tickets and issues. To see where every project is at in real time with documentation.

Cons:

Easy to integrate once our engineers got used to it. As we scaled, it was a challenge to move from Slack and email (old habits die hard) but this board helped us as we grew. And we grew exponentially in the past 2 years.

A Must Have Low Cost and Extremely Intuitive Tool To Have

Comments: This has been a must have tool for me to organize everything I need to do. Without it, I would be incapable of getting anything done.

Pros:

Cons:

It isn't extremely sophisticated but I wasn't looking for anything like that anyways so I don't really see that as a negative.

Podcast Kanban

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: As a podcast host I have to organize guests, recording dates, supporters, releases, etc. Kanban Tool has streamlined my day to day tasks and makes it easy to see what stage I'm in with each task.

Pros:

I am by nature not a well organized person. Ideas swirl around my head just like the scraps of paper with tasks and information on my desk or floor. My wife told me about the kanban idea and I searched online and found Kanban Tool. The first week I used it was by far the most productive week I've had in modern history. Super easy to use. Very intuitive for even the most basic user.

Cons:

At this point I am still exploring the software and have not found a weakness.

Simple and Effective

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: I shifted all of our projects and tasks into Kanban Tool. Infromation that was scattered across emails, other PM software and ticket trackers are now consolidated in several boards, with a simple and minimalist view of everything.

Pros:

Very simple and easy to start and use. Cards are very basic but can be customized and "powered up"!

Cons:

Boxes and cards should have a better/smarter resize. I'm using the lowest zoom but since I have a lot of boards, cards, swim lanes, it can get crowded. However, it was the only product I've found so far that allowed me to do this.

Great if you want to go agile

5.0 8 years ago

Comments: I have been using KT for over a year. I learned about it in my former company. We used it for project management and managing remote team. The best thing about it is that you can adapt it to your needs and create a perfect board for your work. It is not only about simple Kanban boards. The possibilities are endless. I also like the fact that KT offers very detailed and elaborated statistics and analytics. You can easily share files via KT and synchronize it with dozens of other applications.
Now I use it only for me. It is also suitable for personal use. KT is all about elasticity and personalization.
I hope my company will introduce it in the future.

Pros:

-integrations -time tracking -power ups

Cons:

-app only for Android
