An analytical and efficient tool to boost my business

Comments: As a personal trainer, this platform has been an indispensable tool to boost my business and provide a better service to my clients. Also, I can easily create personalized training programs and adjust them according to the individual needs of each one.

Pros:

What I like the most about this platform as a personal trainer is its analytical approach and its powerful management tools. This platform allows me to closely monitor the progress of my clients, as well as analyze and evaluate their physical performance.

Cons:

Although it is a very complete and satisfactory tool in general, I must mention that the aspect that I like the least is the initial learning curve. At first, it can be a bit overwhelming to get familiar with all the functions and features of the platform.

Comments: Overall, I am happy with the functions of the product. The team has shown a tremendous desire to meet any of my goals and needs and works in collaboration with their clients. They have helped me set the system up after transferring from a competitor, the client experience is outstanding, the tools available are great for gym specific needs. I am completely satisfied with the product and only wish to see some advancements in payroll processing to reduce management time.

Pros:

I enjoy the ease of communication between club goals and client goals. The use of the message boards, program design tools, app sign in functions, and scheduling have helped make this product a great success for our team and for communicating with our members

Cons:

I dislike the inability to track payroll. Payroll has become a manual process where each day needs to be logged and accounted for rather than automated through services rendered. Further, the inability to adjust previously logged sessions: i.e. book a client, client cannot show up, scheduled time of appointment has passed, and we cannot undue the session. Makes it difficult to track sessions completed and payroll.

Lacking in development

Pros:

Liked the graphics for the exercises, nice and clear to understand each exercise from the images.

Cons:

Had issues for many months just to set up the direct debit to pay for the software. At the time of use the app it was really lacking in development, from aesthetics to functionality. Other competitors had much better functionality such as habit tracking. The only option was to link with Paypal which had quite big payment fees.

Comments: It has been very beneficial to every day use. From setting up new membership to taking payments

Pros:

Was easy to set up with the one on one help going over all features and way to use them. It make our book keeping easy and membership and payment management is awesome.

Cons:

Tech support not available 24/7 if there is a problem can take days to fix. One of the features my members like most was when they scanned in at gym door it greeted them by name and told them how many credits they had left. One day it just stopped showing and after many phone calls still not back up.

Comments: Fantastic customer care experience, guided setup done with patience from one of their stuff, always available via phone for quick questions, the product is sleak and customisable to a great extent even without purchasing extra packets

Pros:

Full Features and the pricing scales depending on your business size. That means that you get full service no matter how small your business is. Once you grow, you start paying more. It's a fair model

Cons:

Still no Onefit integration but it's really a minor thing. I cannot find anything else to fault them for

Comments: Don't waste your time or your money. I now have to take the time to find a new product AND convert my clients to a new system. This is not ideal at all! I am very frustrated. I've only been using virtuagym for 4 going on 5 months. Avoid at all costs!

Pros:

I like the idea of the software. In theory it was everything I wanted. Scheduling and interactive calendar for myself and staff. Nutrition coaching at our fingertips. Progress tracking and club goals/community aspects. Billing and business management tools. Everything sounded great!

Cons:

I may need more space: 1. It is not real-time scheduling. You cannot adjust your schedule, plan or delete anything if you are not on the web browser version. As a personal trainer I need the ease and convenience of using my phone to schedule at any given time. 2. The nutrition database is atrocious. Clients and staff are both complaining about the incorrect numbers, portions, nutritional details, etc. It is way too tedious to find the right product and measurements and half the time I am just finding something "close enough." 2b. Meal plans do not save entirely once you construct them. Once you click save, some or all of the items you populated onto the plan will be deleted and you'll have to start from scratch. Waste of time! 3. No progress pics can be added from the app 4. When you want to add a video of an exercise you must link it to your YouTube unlike Trainerize who let's you upload directly from your laptop/phone 5. New members have the HARDEST time getting setup 6. I paid for the customized app and all of my clients have a "virtuagym" app. 7. When I complained about the needed features not being accessible, they gave me a completely pointless feature that I cannot use. All in all, I thought I was getting more with Virtuagym than I had with trainerize but I think I will just go back to Trainerize. I would not recommend this product to anyone who takes pride in their coaching.

Good and Bad

Comments: The part that we really liked was the coach module. That's why we will keep our business partnership.
I don't trust in the other parts, honestly, I don't recommend for a gym or studio.

Pros:

Coach Module (just the program part), I would say that customer centre a few times did a good job.

Cons:

Finances, Schedule, Clint's Session Control (this part was horrible), Analytics never worked.

My local gym uses Virtuagym to more effectively manage my member experience

Comments: I moved to my new gym about 1-2 years ago, and they automatically use the Virtuagym platform to manage member profiles. As a valued member, I've been able to interact with this platform and have definitely enjoyed its ease of use and straightforward features.

Pros:

My gym and trainers use Virtuagym to manage member profiles, and I personally use a customer-facing version of it on my end. I love being able to track my fitness schedule alongside my trainer's gym calendar. Additionally, I'm able to track my membership, monthly pricing, extra gym features, and even fitness goals.

Cons:

I wish I would be able to customize my fitness goals a bit more holistically on the app.

The whole manage system, booking system (schedules) & the support by email

Cons:

Credit system: when clients pause, they still receive credits. It's different to work with the coach app & on the web (you have much more option on the web).

Good platform for personal trainers

Good platform for personal trainers. We have used it for several years for nutrition and training plans. Easy to use and good support when needed.

Cons:

There are some features that could be added such as online courses, in-app messenger, and the loading speed could be improved.

AWFUL ACROSS THE BOARD. TOTAL RIP OFF. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH SOFTWARE. RUN. MINDBODY IS 1000X BETTER. SO GLAD WE SWITCHED BACK TO MINDBODY.

Great customer service and timeliness!

Comments: Overall, I'm please with our new software company, Virtuagym. They've been able to answer any and all questions that we've had.

Pros:

I love how user-friendly Virtuagym has been. From the sign up process to the member management, the system is very easy to work with.

Cons:

The transition from our previous software company to Virtuagym could've got a little easier, specifically talking about the transferring of payment methods. We're struggling to get ALL of our current members involved with the app and to set up their payment methods.

Indispensable Software for Urban Sports Haarlem!

At Urban Sports Haarlem we have integrated Virtuagym into our daily business operations. The user-friendly interface makes managing bookings and classes very easy.

Comments: I found and recommend Virtuagym to my client who has a own gym. He had be finally very pleased with it after a few bad experiences wtih other softwares.

Pros:

Virtuagyms user-friendly interface and integrations with other fitness apps and devices make it a valuable tool for fitness management. It offers a range of features for all gym owners, trainers, and clients.

Cons:

Some features, such as nutrition tracking, are not as robust as other specialized apps. And the pricing could be considering for some users.

COULD BE AWESOME BUT IT NOT

Comments: Lack honesty and integrity: they have been dishonest on a number of occassions adn never admit that they are lying to you. They promised us a payment provider other than PayPal in 2016, and we are still waiting. They dont seem to care that much for clients outside of The Netherlands.
Very poor support: take too long to return communications, many customers IOS APP's have not been updated since 2018 when they claimed to have notified us all about a change in Apple App store policy and even after two years of apps not being updated they belived it was not their responsibility to assist their customers.
During COVID closure they continued to charge full price and even took extra payments out of our account while we were closed and had no income.

Pros:

WORKOUT BUILDER Extensive exericse library and custom exercises (including videos) are easy to add. MOBILE APPS There are Andriod and IOS App for customers and a Coaching App for coaches to use. They are good when they work. MANY FEATURES They provide features for Club management, and for coaches and customers. Have not found another software company that address all three well.

Cons:

EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. Im a small owner operator and they charge me $300AUD a month. BUGS GALORE .It often has bugs and therefore doesnt work efficiently. IOS MOBILE APP - Has not been updated since 2018 and it has taken me over 2 months to get them to do it.

Oversold under delivered

Comments: Unreliable, oversell under deliver, not willing to be accountable, and dishonest sales people. Avoid this platform at all costs, it will lose your business a fortune.

Pros:

It's quite simple to learn and operate.

Cons:

The short comings are many. It starts with their sales team misleading us about it's functionality. I was very specific about the fact that we wanted a one stop shop for POS, database management, invoicing, communications and gym access. You cannot mass email your database with out using a third party provider like mail chimp, which means you now have to operate two databases. After 2 years we have had so much reputational damage and have recently decided to remove 24 hour access from our offering I will transition to another platform, as the door access software (again third party) kept going offline and denying customers access. They never had solutions or explanations for why it wouldn't work, they blamed the telco's, the power, the third party gate keeper they recommended, our PC's, other software, but never took any responsibility. We never got the App live as they just did not respond for 6 months.

A platform that doesn't care about the clients

Pros:

The features. On paper. They were everything we needed.

Cons:

It bugs all the timethe support team stops communication overall They take us for crazy when we report some bugs though we have scree shots they just say 'oh but nobody else complained" they charge you more money automatically as soon as you reach 150 clients but when you arez under that number they say you need to email them to let them know (i guess the engineers didnt care about reverse automation).

Thankful for this App!

Comments: Overall, our organization is happy with our choice to move to virtuagym. There are some features that we want to see the app develop into, but it offers a benefit to our internal team and clients.

Pros:

-The new business analytics feature is going to a wonderful asset to our team -Setting up the app was clear- we had a lot of support from the team -We are able to manage various calendars and systems -The system is very user friendly -There are clear ways to customize the experience -customer service is pretty responsive to the needs of our organization

Cons:

-We currently use Daxko billing software and the two systems do not naturally integrate. So our membership data doesn't track into Virtuagym -Programs aren't as customizable as we would like. Individuals have to have their own distinct log in and app in order to sign up for classes- it makes it difficult for doing open community events, or for parents/guardians to sign up their minor child to a class. (i.e people should be able to sign up for more than one slot. -The notifications/move reminders sent to clients-want to have that turned off -We had to work to have weight removed from the first questions that app asked -Overall, we want to have a more "holistic wellness" approach and this app is very normative in its approach to health.

VG can be big

Comments: I like VG because it offers it all. In the beginning the development went very fast, but lately I didn't see a lot of improvements. The small details make VG hard to work with. And also for training, I don't like it. It's to complex The supportservice is great and doing the best they can.
I hope the development will show some results in the next year.

Pros:

Virtuagym tries to be a total sollution, and will be that. But for no it's "in progress". Has a lot to offer. The foodapp is great Customer administrations is good, but need a lot of solvings Roster app is great. Easy overview of groupsessons and PT. Extra pay options are good.

Cons:

Trainingsapp is to difficult to use. Takes to much time to search for excersises. App is not ready for Ipad. Customer administrations is not perfect, but for that goal it has to be perfect. It's so unhandy that you cannot undo your actions. Coachingapp is not usable to coach. I want to get a sigh when it's my cliënts birthday, when they want or need contact with an instructor. Taskapp is not easy to use.

Lately we have focused a lot of attention on creating new option in our Financial part. For example, we now offer recurring online payments for the whole world! Next to that, we've had updates like iCal/Google Calendar connection with the scheduling app, scanning your POS items with a barcode scanner, more check-in options and in the next update you'll see we've been working hard on a Walkthrough system for new (and existing) customers! In the upcoming months, we expect to release more features regarding invoices, but also a new Schedule and of course the long awaited Workout Editor. Easy to use platform for mobile app creation

Comments: From the initial call to launch of the app everyone was very responsive. Any and all questions were quickly handled.

Pros:

The ease of which schedules for group classes can be designed and offered sold me on this product. There are other options out there but VirtuaGym hits it out of the park. You get what you pay for and this is a top notch product and company.

Cons:

Integration of some health tracking software is difficult to navigate such as linking MyZone but it can be worked-around.

Great for Online Trainers

Pros:

Virtuagym makes creating, amending and scheduling workouts for my clients easy. It saves so much time. There is a great variety of exercises to choose from with instructions and descriptive video.

Cons:

I would prefer there is an option to leave out the food app. This has been confusing for my clients as I deliver Meal Plans through a separate portal.

Happy with it!

Comments: The administration side, the memberships and billing services is an life saver. Makes it verry easy to keep everything under control and organized

Pros:

The combination from the foodtracker en the exercises. It's nice that it's all in one app instead of 2 different ones. Now I can excess it al if I go to a client's account

Cons:

Sometimes it's not clear why an automatic invoice doesn't go thru. Maybe it's an option that you make sure some client info field are marked to be filled in no or it doesn't work.

Comments: My partner and I began with Virtuagym after I had investigated their booth at the 2016 Club Industry Show in Chicago.
From a mobile-fitness owner's standpoint and for traditional clubs, this system can be your go-to for a complete software.
First off, their support is exceptional with live chat and dedicated, rapid email response. All of my concerns and questions were always answered in a timely manner and from my requests, they've made changes to our system for us on what we wanted.
For specific feautures, Ill touch on a few, but their pdf catalog/brochure really lays out everything nicely for what is offered.
New and existing members can sign up for the system via request or going to the club's "online shop" where they may browse the club's products and packages. They can view a schedule with the club's class listings and book their spot. Member's receive their own profile page which can be customized and it is part of the club's own social feed. Groups can be added for different demographic purposes for what population the content speaks to.
Members can create their own workouts from a large exercise and activity database, track their progress with many measurement options. Track food with a huge database of foods as well as create your own meals by saving particular foods in the nutrition diary as a meal, so it can be accessed later if the client makes and eats the same thing. Nutrition facts are clearly displayed and this can be a good tool, however does take time and work for one to become proficient and willing to do this all the time. The system syncs with Fitbit for basic statistics and VG has their own activity trackers that go with their system, NeoHealth, which could be a promotion to members. From a personal coaching standpoint, I would grade this system a B. Ive been told some updates are near that would work out some kinks and be useful additions. Push notifications, a "circuit/superset" option in the workout builder, majority of posts on the social feed go through, but some receive an error and most be re-entered.
But alot is offered. You can send workouts and activities to the client's activity calendar, set up and fill in their meal plan and set goals.
For business, everything is offered. Point of sale, kiosk check ins, marketing, services, memberships and more can be edited for the individual club or coach's liking

Comments: Good platform, but really bad service. They dont fix bugs thats not working, slow custom service. If you have a gym or fitness center in Denmark / Europa dont buy this system. Payment does support it & there not helping you fixing it!

Pros:

- Easy to use - alot of features - Good app setup - Good platform layout.

Cons:

- Support reply is really really bad..... Long reply time when you write a email. - No phone line for service or support. - Automatic payment system does not support Denmark (Paysafe, Mollie Sepa, Gocardless dont work in denmark) - Still working to get the automatic payment system to work, but there not helping out.
