Comments: Overall, my experience with Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room has been positive. The platform's robust security measures instilled confidence in the protection of sensitive information. Pros:

Reasons for Switching to Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room: Great customer service and my local Datasite managers were very approachable

Easy to use and ensures documents are easily accessible and secure

Comments: Great experience and the support team were very responsive and helpful when needed

Pros:

Very easy to use and manage folders/documents. Setting up permissions and access controls are intuitive and the "view as" feature is particulalry useful to make sure the correct folders/files are accessible or hidden for the correct parties.

Cons:

Was looking to try and freeze a portion of the dataroom but not all folders, unfortunately, this feature wasn't available

Alternatives Considered: Sterling Virtual Data Room, Firmex Virtual Data Room and Intralinks VDRPro

Reasons for Switching to Datasite Diligence Virtual Data Room: Had used it previously on other deals and found it very effective.

Datasite is top tier!

Pros:

The interface is intuitive to use and the customer service team is very helpful. Datasite is also widely used in the M&A industry so consultants and bankers already know its functionality.

Cons:

Occasionally there are errors uploading files. It's not always clear how a data room is being billed.

Pros:

Good storage area for client documents, responsive website, I like that files open in separate tabs too

Cons:

Search function isn't good/accurate, index sorting for new documents isn't set up efficiently

Impeccable client service, pick up at the drop of a hat. Love working with them.

Can sometimes be a bit pricey but I understand why.

Datasite is good

Pros:

Easy to use. Good customer service and support. No plug-ins.

Cons:

I cant think of anything as the team was always able to provide a solution.

Best dataroom provider I've used so far

Comments: Good experience overall. Available support and once you've started acquiring experience with datasite it's hard to switch to another provider

Pros:

Good interface, user friendly, fast functionnalities (folder creation for example)

Cons:

Suggestions of folder when you upload a document is not accurate at all

Great Data Sharing Tool but Price Can be High

Comments: I currently use Datasite on the daily basis. It is very user friend and makes it easy for me to find documents that I have uploaded and other documents that others have uploaded. The only thing that is not my favorite is that it can be hard to tell what documents have been uploaded when.

Pros:

The easy of use. The fact that you have one central spot to be able to upload large files and data sets to be able to share with internal and external clients. It is also nice that gives you a daily update on what documents have been provided by either parties.

Cons:

The price. Datasite historically charges clients by the amount of pages that are extracted from the platform. Therefore, the cost of using the software can and will add up quickly.

Comments: Very good. It is the best product and makes my life as a banking analyst less stressful since I know I am not sharing anything with who it shouldn't go to

How easy it is to work with several buyers / parties

Cons:

Sometimes it can be slow to load files in

Ease of use, various functionalities, clear layout

Expensive vs. alternative providers, but more user friendly

Comments: Very very happy. Easy and intuitive to use. Would strongly recommend over any other alternative.

Pros:

1. Intuitive and ease of use: ability to "View As" a group is game-changing, and gives you peace of mind in ensuring that permissions are accurate and important sensitive data is shared correctly 2. Customer support: Very dedicated team

Cons:

All the below items are minor and do not change my preference for Datasite VDR 1. Speed of bulk uploads: can be a bit faster

Datasite is the Gold Standard

Pros:

Very clear permissioning and directory levels. Access rights are intuitive for all users.

Cons:

No real cons for a practical purposes. Pricing can be a bit high.

Great VDR for M&A processes

Comments: Overall pleased I use them for all our M&A deals.

Pros:

UI is easy to use and has multiple functions and features, it's not overly simplistic which is good.

Cons:

Could be quicker, have better redacting tech, more automation.

Datasite Review

Pros:

It is fairly easy to navigate and there isn't 'too much' going on. This makes the VDR feel clean and simply makes it easier for me as the administrator to arrange everything.

Cons:

Permission management can be a bit difficult to navigate, especially in terms of setting up numerous groups (in order to issues different levels of security).

Highly Recommend

Pros:

User friendly interface, customer support, & bulk uploading

Cons:

Having to resize each worksheet in excel to reduce page count

Pros:

It is very easy and has all the best features that a customer can use in due diligance.

Cons:

Pricing. rates are very high. If we can reduce it, it would be very helpful.

Private Credit Review

Comments: I like it! I've found it very easy to use and the people at customer support are helpful when I can't figure out a tool / have tech issues.

Pros:

I think it's easy to use, and I wish I would use it more; however, I don't set up the data rooms (the bankers send me links and I sign up for whatever one they choose)

Cons:

N/A - it is my favorite VDR by miles. I think the next best is Intralinks, but Datasite is far better

Keep it simple in its best way

Pros:

The VDR does what it should do without overwhelming the user with useless messages like "encrypting data" like it does with competitors VDRa

Cons:

Permissions should be fine on Folder level to adjust and not on file level

Easy to Use

Comments: Very satisfactory and does exactly what I need it to do.

Pros:

The platform is intuitive and easy to use throughout the life cycle of a transaction. Users throughout our business have been able to log in and upload information quickly and efficiently. The various options to restrict/open content to different users is very helpful as is the customer support which is seemingly available at all hours of the day.

Cons:

Charges relating to 'Special Media' and what constitutes 'Special Media' could be clearer otherwise the experience has been positive throughout.

Pros:

Really helps things go a lot smoother, definitely saves on efficiency

Cons:

Takes some getting use to the interface, but once you're familiar its great

Pros:

Very easy platform to navigate, making conducting due diligence and accessing the documents I need a breeze!

Cons:

Some other datasites may have more advanced AI add-ins but I have never found those particularly useful
