About Mailjet
Build Together. Send Smarter. The email solution for fast-moving teams.
Super convenient, without any bugs and quite easy to use.
I came into some problems with a few of my emails and the customer service was underwhelming.

That's just perfect for email management
Pros:
The API access and the visual email composition
Cons:
The cost of product compared with another

Alternatives Considered:
A good software but with some flaws
Comments: So far, given we can fix the issues in connecting to our custom domain, we are satisfied. With some reservations mentioned above.
Pros:
I like the fact that Mailjet has a very clear UI- and it is easy to find and craft new campaigns. They have also been one of the very first email systems to be GDPr compliant- and hence on my radar for very long. We had an account since 2019, but only recently started to consider automating our emails. The trial limit for daily emails is generous too.
Cons:
However, there are some issues. Connecting our domain was problematic, and email automation is only available to premium users. This should be available to free users as well, maybe limiting the free daily emails at the same time. It takes time to think automation processes through, and 30 days trial might be too little to decide whether the system is right for a user or not. I at least take time to properly test a software.

Easy To Setup, Crazy Terms of Service
Comments: It started off good, as an easy to use software but later turned into a nightmare working with their support.
Pros:
It's really easy to set up and get going on a WordPress site, and I liked being able to authenticate by confirming an email rather than by DNS if I wanted.
Cons:
Their TOS and enforcement of it is absolutely insane. One of my sites sends transactional emails for the purchase of firearms accessories (think like holsters, nothing regulated). They blocked my entire account and all sites associated because of that. I removed the site they flagged, thinking I'd get my account back. The compliance team then had to review my account, and then said one site I had linked which does landscaping is also against their terms because they don't allow real estate sales/related services. I should note, none of the sites on my account were sending any sort of newsletter or promotional emails. It was all contact form submissions and purchase receipts.

Hi Alexander, Thanks for your feedback and we apologize for any issues you had with our service. Ultimately our sending policy is in place to avoid issues of spam, and illicit sending. We restrict content on self-service plans related to fire arms and real estate due to recommendations from ISPs. Thanks for understanding. Best, The Mailjet team
Mail In A Hurry!
Pros:
There is an extensive and wide variety of email templates that allow you to send and receive emails based around marketing campaigns and/or automated messages, I love that it allows you to add and remove people to the structure of your math emails. Also, you can lock the email itself and only allow certain permissions to certain people so it gives each person a role that you give access via the mail jet system
Cons:
This is definitely a more fifth Decatur set up, this will work excellent with B2b but it’s not self owned start-up business focused.

Alternatives Considered:
Best Value Out There
Pros:
The software is easy to use and I can prepare a "mailing" fairly quickly with templates that I've set up for various types of occasions. The price is very reasonable and the reports are fantastic. I'm able to reach my target markets better when I download the reports and track who opens and "clicks" through my messages.
Cons:
Everything is great. I wish that there could be more templates for the emails to give me more "looks" when I do "mailings"

Alternatives Considered:
An alternative that is fine to start with, a little limited for the advanced
Comments: To begin with, and if you have few contacts, it's fine because even in the free version you will be able to have access to a certain amount of mailings, but if your list grows, as was my case, it's a headache because everything is limited and it's better to change as I did. I perhaps for others have had a better experience mine was not like that
Pros:
Price and quality is fine, transactional emails arrive well, marketing emails are a bit limited, the tool is easy to implement and take advantage of if you have less than 4k contacts
Cons:
Very limited for the free and basic versions, if you want to get more out of it you have to pay more, however, for that it is better to change to another of the competition for that higher price
Alternatives Considered:
For the price, Mailjet is near perfect
Comments: The Mailjet template creator is easy to use if you have any experience using other template creators. Love how they include "saved sections" in the template creator for ease of creation. Mailjet has strict rules for anti-spam measures and that's a good thing. The majority of my emails do get delivered. For the frequency of our newsletters, Mailjet is perfect for our company. For transactional emails, we use Marsello because of its vast segment properties.
Pros:
Picking a mail software is extremely stressful since most companies will charge you an arm and a leg when your list grows. Mailjet is the most value-driven software for medium-sized businesses.
Cons:
If you want to segment at all, you have to upgrade to higher payment tiers. After testing their segment tiers, I wasn't too impressed by the options, so I downgraded it.
Alternatives Considered:
A solid option for managing email lists.
Pros:
Ease of use A plethora of features Messages arrive to inbox (not spam) Good analytics Overall value is good
Cons:
Mailjet limits your sending rate at first Some features could be more customizable (e.g. subscriber forms/widgets) Can be a bit complicated to add sender addresses and verify URLs
Alternatives Considered:
MailJet Email Software is Best for Experienced Marketers
Comments: The delivery of emails and the stats is very detailed is their strong point so you get the complete picture of your campaigns.
Pros:
The system they use to send and deliver your emails is well done, but can get quite detailed. Keep in mind this is how your mails get a high deliverablility.
Cons:
This softward is strongly designed for team colaboration, and the learning curve is quite high. I also tried to contact support and it took them a long time to get back to me, and then several exchanges by email to get my inquiry solved.
Alternatives Considered:
Better value for money on the market
Pros:
Mailjet has all funcionalities needed for sending transactional emails. Great backoffice application and EU based
Cons:
Transactional confirmation API structure need some manual tricks to work with many domains and subaccount in an efficent way
Alternatives Considered:
Transactional Email That Covers 90% Of Use Cases
Comments: MailJet has been a drop in replacement for Madrill. It has been more than adequate for all of my transactional emailing needs.
Pros:
After using MailJet as a replacement for Mandrill for the last 2 years, I can fully recommend it. I use it for transactional email and I can send 6000 per month on the free tier. More than enough for my use case. I like the templates and templating language. Setting up sender domains and authenticating them is a doddle. Using the API is also painless with the excellent API documentation.
Cons:
The only thing I dislike is that there are almost too many options. This isn't a bad thing per se, but I have probably only used about 25% of the available tools/reporting etc. I also have no need for the campaign tools and would prefer it if Mailjet only concentrated on transactional emails.
Alternative of Mailgun
Pros:
Basically both the company name comes under same firm but having lots of different, if you use mailgun in free trial the deliverability comes to 100% but if you purchase then ratio will be different, however, the same does not happens mailjet, seriously i am using this service with multiple accounts and getting same ratio with it, the good thing is that you can save the template in the panel and modified to get better deliverability . Secondly they providing their own unsubscribe link which help us that there system identified the email address of unsubscribe and removed automatically
Cons:
One of the cons is to adding payment method every month,as in India RBI has change the policy for online payment
I would not recommend it, Mailjet is a frustrating experience
Comments: Learning to control my frustrations easier :)
Pros:
- cheap, compared to other email marketing tools - customer support was not that bad
Cons:
I would have a lot to write here. Here's a few: - server breaks down often and the entire platform is unreachable (therefore, you can not send your newsletters in due time) - poor templates, compared to other email marketing tools (no html editing available, only import) - a looot of small, frustrating errors (faulty reports, empty reports exactly when you need them, the test email not being sent, changes in templates not saved and you have no clue why) - no auto-clean option for the contact lists - quite poor segmentation options for the contact lists

Longtime fan and user for years.
Comments: Allows 3rd party applications to send email without having to open up security on mail servers, and does so with ease.
Pros:
MailJet is targeted more at being used for email marketing, but it is the perfect solution for 3rd party applications that require SMTP service but for one reason or another an organization cannot use their own mail server. (Also allows tracking for those 3rd party app mailings if you want to get fancy.) It's been my go to through several employment changes where I always end up needing it for one thing or another, and I've recommended to clients many times over. The support is always fantastic as well - they've always been responsive and on top of things, even when I was only using a free account. This has made them the first SMTP service I think of, always.
Cons:
The only real challenge I've faced was that the API keys can sometimes be too long for older applications. (And some poorly built ones.) This is not really a fault of MailJet -- the longer API keys make for better security, but it can just be a roadblock sometimes. (MailJet support is right on the case for it though.) In the years I've been using it (I think I first discovered them 4 or 5 years ago - not exactly sure how long, I've experienced an outage or two. Frustrating when it happens, but then any internet service is subject to that from time to time.
Alternatives Considered:
Great for sending outbound transactional email
Comments: Used mailjet within our Django based web app.
Pros:
Hassle-free and fair limits on the free plan, with well-priced upgrades for running specific campaigns. Great deliverability as well.
Cons:
Couldn’t find a way to see what unverified email addresses were being tried on our account as sender addresses (so we couldn’t fix those wrong outbound email addresses)
So horrible I had to create an account here just to write a review!
Comments: Horrible, horrible, horrible.
Pros:
The design / looks were the only positive that I could take. While the product is extremely irritating due to the limited functionality and horrible product thinking, the UI/UX designers have done a good job.
Cons:
Oh, so much. Here are a few things that it falls short in when compared to other mass emailers:1. Contacts management: You have very limited options in the way you want to upload / edit contacts. The multi-editing options are a joke, and there is no way you can send emails to some contacts in a list instead of all. Also, even to remove a contact from a list, you need to upload a freaking CSV file! I mean, did they never use their own product after creating it?2. The campaign editing options are extremely limited even in a paid version. Glad that I never paid them a buck.3. Creating contact properties is a big pain due to the functionality.4. Their email templates are a joke.5. Extremely limited options when designing emails.
This Is Good For begineers
Pros:
The service is good but they block accounts without intimation even we use list cleaning techniques so critical to recover accounts
Cons:
Pricing is little high and application Layout is little critical. Some functions doesn't work on slow internet
Support levels unacceptable
Comments: Support is non-existent when it is required. Getting locked out an account leaves nowhere for contact or account resolution. If your business is depending on such a service, my recommendation it to go elsewhere .
Pros:
When Mailjet it working, it works to an acceptable level.
Cons:
The support is of the lowest standard possible. We have been left high and dry multiple times now. There is zero care factor about resolution and response times are shocking. We spend several thousands per annum and have implemented customers directly with Mailjet also, but is still not of interest to Mailjet.
Amazing and powerful email marketing tool!
Comments: With Mailjet email marketing has become very easy for us. The newsletter editor is amazing and helps us build the best ones for our prospects. We are able to track and observe our clients which helps us reach them in a better way. It has also reduced our spam rates. Maintaining contact lists has never been easier. Overall a great experience with the platform.
Pros:
The platform is very easy to use and I can build email campaigns quickly and efficiently. It allows multiple team members collaborate which makes it convenient. It's drag and drop feature helps make the email templates better to work with. One of the best feature is that we can track and monitor all the emails sent.
Cons:
The platform lacks email templates options which could be increased. The pricing is a little expensive compared to other platforms, but the free plan also works pretty good.

MailJet better than Most
Comments: Overall, it changed my life for the better. I have a newsletter that I send out to almost 5,000 weekly. Mailjet has earned me new business, makes it EASY to create my newsletter. I haven't mastered segmentation yet, but, out of all the other platforms. Mailjet took me to a higher level with better "reach". I would recommend this to anyone that truly wants to increase their marketing exposure.
Pros:
For me, mailjet came in right on time. I had tried Mailchimp, Sendgrid and a few others. I like that you can do more in a quick period of time. The "template maker" is relatively easy to use, to those that are familiar with making on line newsletters. If this is our first time to this rodeo, it will have a slight learning curve, but nothing that will take you out the game. I like that you can add MANY MORE subscribers for a lot less money than the other places
Cons:
I HATE the "Subscription Boxes", they are NOT user friendly, and you can only do HTML. Someone needs to do these over. They are kinda sucky. Just the entire "subscriber addition" platform needs a do over

Ecommerce and Mailjet
Pros:
As we have to be sure that all the mails from our store goes to our customers, we did search for an easy solution. Mailjet is easy to configure and very stable. It was very easy to connect Mailjet with our Storesoftware. In I think 4 Years of using Mailjet we had to contact the support 1 time, they did help us very well.
Cons:
Okay the backend is sometimes a bit confusing and have to click arround to find the things you are looking for
I finally found my ultimate mailing solution
Comments:
1. I don't have to write and design emails manually.
2. I get a very scaleable sending solution with zero efforts.
3. The templating engine lets me easily put a face of a big operation, while I work from my basement.
Support was friendly, not always very efficient, but solved most of my issues, or at least pointed me in the direction. I'm in the free tier yet, so can't complain too much.
Overall I'm super happy with mailjet. Thank god you guys exist.
Pros:
This is the perfect solution for my needs: I define the email templates in a nice editor, get an ID, and then from my application i just call a command to send that email using the ID, along with my parameters. And somebody else (who is way better than me in this) is taking care of the sending, spam, opened/read etc. It works great, requires very little from my side, looks like it is ready to scale, I'm very happy!
Cons:
The email editor is where i spend most of my mailjet time. It is very good, but could be even further improved. Working with variables could be better and easier, validation at the editor could help in avoiding errors later, etc. But again, the tool gets A today, and I'm asking for A+.
Alternatives Considered:
Sending emails and bypassing the Spamfolder
Comments: Reliable reachability with good statistics on opened emails.
Pros:
Easy to start. In just a few minutes you can be up and running with your first campaign. Generous sending and contact limits for the startup. Good Wordpress support.
Cons:
Nothing so far. Working as supposed with nothing to complain about. If there was a wishlist, I'd like to see some kind of SEO and content AI based assistant.
Mailjet a simple way to send emails
Comments:
Mailjet is a simple way to send emails, manage campaigns and have good control over marketing campaigns. Very simple to use and with good technical support always ready to help.
For the development of my web applications and the sites I create I always use the service to be able to control the emails and to have in an instantaneous way all the dashboards that help me to perceive the state of the emails sent.
Pros:
Simple and very easy to use, Has good technical support, Very nice and useful dashboards
Mailjet Review
Pros:
What I like the most about this software is how easy it is to create templates
Cons:
What I like the least about this software is the customer service
