About Classy
Classy is a comprehensive fundraising platform on a mission to mobilize and empower the world for good.
The peer-to peer and ticketed events applications are easy to use for both the Admin and the guests using it.
Price is WAY over market; customer service reps LIED about pricing offers; vendor lock is tough to get out.

Great Tool
Comments: Classy has changed the game for our events management & check-in capabilities. We are so thankful for a platform that keeps our fundraising events running smoothly!
Pros:
We love being able to customize Classy to meet our specific organizations needs. Our Classy Support Team makes it extremely easy to get the most out of Classy!
Cons:
There are a few tools that we wish Classy could do - but we are always able to find a workaround that works for us.
Alternatives Considered:
Classy - an excellent solution for robust fundraising programs.
Pros:
Classy is very easy to use, from the moment it is set up. Implementation was relatively straightforward, and had a dedicated Classy representative to walk us through the process. Upon set up, we were able to immediately reap the benefits of the platform, and the Support - from documentation, to regular training webinars, to the assigned Client Success Manager has been very useful.
Cons:
There are certain design features/elements that I wish had more customization, especially within the crowdfunding and peer-to-peer campaigns and email acknowledgement templates.
They overpromise, and wildly underdeliver.
Comments: All, I'll say... there's a reason they wont let you trial the platform before signing up.
Pros:
Peer to peer platform is slick and easy to set up.
Cons:
They promised a whole lot during the sales process. And since you can't trial the platform, you need to take the lunge and pay the $4k subscription fee. We've been struggling for 7 days to install donation form on our website. The sales, product and support teams are very disconnected. Their integration with Mailchimp is very weak; as they only send name, surname and email data to MC. But, for some bizarre reason, no data about which campaign was donated to, or whether it was a standard, recurring or peer to peer donation. How do they expect you to build donor relationships without that data? We figured out that they integrate with Salesforce, and via Salesforce we now send data to MC. But, that cost us a week of engineering fees. All this for a $4k per year platform. For $4k per year, you have certain expectations. But, I waited 54mins on the customer support
Alternatives Considered:
Streamlined Fundraising Tool
Comments: Their customer service is amazing!
Pros:
It's very easy to use, implement, and train on. Donors are very happy with the ease of transactions
Cons:
I wish they had a more robust donor database so it could be an all in one solution for us.
Alternatives Considered:
Classy is Classy
Comments: Team Classy has been the most amazing customer service and team to work with. Responsive right away, always available, and the training through their library or in-person is second-to-none and done with excellence.
Pros:
Classy is the easiest and by far most customizable CRM software that we have used. It is ready to go right away to start to build and create campaigns. The look is great and it is easy for the end-user to use as well. It is also very multi-functional in using the platform for donations, crowdfunding, peer-to-peer or ticketed events. All in one platform and delivers.
Cons:
The current split of Classy and Classy Live (live event/auction) side of things is the biggest downside and separate but not a deal-breaker. They work together well.
Alternatives Considered:
Good fundraising platform
Pros:
Having a Peer-to-peer and crowd funding options is a nice tool to have under our belt.
Cons:
The transaction fees are too high. We have several donors that call us and mail us checks because, when they cover the fees for their $1,000+ donations, takes away from the money they have set aside for our cause. We wish the fees were a little lower for small charities like ours. We are already paying to have the software (which is not cheap) and on top of that we need to give from the donations.

Easy to use
Comments: In addition to loving the platform, we love the organization! Customer support is awesome!
Pros:
We love how easy it is to create a fundraising campaign. Our users find it easy to customize their personal fundraising pages and share with friends and family.
Cons:
Occasionally we find that it is not as feature rich as we would like, but Classy support is always there to suggest a work around and we prefer an easy to use platform to one with all the complexities that make it hard to use.
Simple Sharp Peer2Peer Fundraising Website
Comments: Classy allows us to run multiple similar events across Canada with the same professional quality of user experience and administrative management. When those two things are easier, we can focus on our priorities like recruiting participants and ensuring a quality event. We have had increased participation since using Classy and having measurably fewer user problems means having more returning participants year after year.
Pros:
Ease of making a personalized website that matches our brand and has all the functionality that we need. Our participants find it easy to navigate and use which is so important when you are asking people to voluntarily fundraise for your cause.
Cons:
I wish there was a way to highlight our sponsor logos in an upfront way so that participants and website visitors see them without it impeding their ease and ability to find information relevant to them. A sidebar or something?
Easy to use for donors and organizations, seamless integration, and a helpful support team!
Comments: The integration with Salesforce has been a big win for us. We've more than doubled our funding while cutting our manual data entry time in half.
Pros:
We made the switch to Classy from another fundraising platform in October 2018. The year prior, from October to December, we raised about $80,000. This year we raised more than double that, and I know that a big reason for that is because of Classy. The site is much easier to use for donors but it also is more aesthetically pleasing. It invites people in and engages them. Creating a page that transitions seamlessly from our own website was very easy to do with Classy. Page setup is user-friendly and I like that you can see the changes that you are making in real time, instead of having to make a change, save it, then go preview it, then go back and change it again (which is what we had to do on our old platform). Classy customer service has been very helpful as well. They are responsive and knowledgeable, and finding answers to my questions, or solutions to my problems, has been simple and pleasant. We have integrated Classy with our Salesforce database, which is a huge plus for us. There were some kinks but their support team was very helpful. Though more expensive that our former platform, I feel that the investment was definitely worth it.
Cons:
The price is significantly higher than the platform we used before, both in annual costs and in transaction fees. We also need volunteer registration functionality, which Classy doesn't provide, so we do still have to use our old platform for that piece.
Classy is an "okay" platform but not my #1 choice
Comments: My overall experience was not very good with Classy. Too expensive and not back-end friendly.
Pros:
Once I could get a fundraising page completed, it looked very good. Graphics were good, ability to use various fonts and different sizes was good.
Cons:
I found Classy to be expensive for what I got as a fundraiser and administrator. Customer service was pretty good, if I could get them on the phone. I found too many things difficult to do and ended up frustrated with the software. Also, we didn't raise much money because it was expensive and, of course, there were fees for each donation.
Fully Featured Nonprofit Fundraising Software - with a price to match - but not a CRM
Pros:
You can make really beautiful and functional things with Classy, there is lots of room to customize and design. The peer to peer fundraising pages as part of event registration is great (this is what we are using it for). There are lots of moving parts so it is good that they have such great customer service - people on the phone have been great, also chat and email options. The onboarding process was really hands on - which it should be as the price/year is very high and taken with the percentage is even higher. We are early in our relationship with them trying to see if this powerful tool will bring in enough extra donations to be worth the added cost. No doubt its a good product with good service.
Cons:
It's pricey, almost 3k/year - we've just launched our fundraising campaign and it remains to be seen if we can increase donations enough to cover the cost - but the biggest downside is you can't move your donor database in - at all. So let's be clear that this is not a CRM in any real sense- you can't upload files of people or donations to it - it is a one by one manual thing. It seems like a great way to manage people who have given through classy but if you have donor files already, you'll need another database - which you'll also have to pay for so this seems like a lot to pay for not a total solution. If you were to be starting from scratch this might be a moot problem. For us - we are keeping our Donor Tools account and just using classy for events as a test - but two donor portals is not an ideal situation.
Dynamic Fundraising Platform with Exceptional Customer Service
Pros:
Our organization has been using Classy as a platform for registration and fundraising for nearly 4 years. During that time, we have been most impressed by the customer service provided by the Classy team. The staff at Classy is always eager to help, which makes for a better experience for us, and for our users.
Cons:
Although we (as administrators) find the platform to be extremely user friendly, there has been quite a learning curve for our supporters. We have been using Classy for nearly 4 years and still field many questions about navigating the site.
Classy lives up to its name
Comments: Classy allows us to create beautiful landing pages for donors and supports and is easy to use.
Pros:
Classy has been our fundraising platform for nearly three years and has allowed us to raise money to fight child sexual abuse with our community of donors. Classy is easy to you, have helpful resources for various campaigns, and recognizes campaigns that are exceptional.
Cons:
We have not had any negative experiences with the software.
The best fundraising software on the market
Comments: Zero complaints. The few times we've had an issue with the software, the Classy Care team has quickly resolved the issue.
Pros:
Easy to setup, simple to use, and a great user-experience for our supporters.
Cons:
Wish there were some hardware features (such as card readers) attached to the software.
Classy keeps it, well, Classy!
Comments: I loved the customer support we receive from the Classy team. They are always so kind and helpful.
Pros:
I like the easy-to-use Classy platform. Overall, the donation pages are easy to create, implement, and deliver to our audiences.
Cons:
I think not having the Venmo or Cash App payment processors.
Empowering our organization
Pros:
Easy to use, setting up campaigns is a breeze, the user experience of donating/buying tickets is seamless. Integrated with our Salesforce instance fairly easily. Customer support is prompt and always helpful. Classy lets our organization be empowered to create the best fundraising campaigns to reach our constituents.
Cons:
Our organization hosts several events throughout the year and currently Classy does not have a native check-in function, which is a pain depending on the size of the event.
Pretty, but lacking
Pros:
I love how easy it is to set up new fundraisers and for others outside the org to create new P2P campaigns to share with friends. I also love how easily and efficiently it integrates with MailChimp. Last, their support is pretty decent.
Cons:
It's incredibly pricey for all that it does. If you are looking for a CRM, keep looking. Classy does not offer good data management or reporting.
Classy is #1 for Nonprofit Payment/Fundraising Online
Pros:
Classy is super easy to use. Integrates great into a website. Integrates great into Salesforce. Great information/customer service from their team, too. Value add!
Cons:
Classy is not the most fashionable payment processor. It is getting better though. It takes people out of the website to do its payment or fundraising stuff.
A game-changer for organizations looking to take giving to the next level
Pros:
With millenials as the largest segment of charitable givers, it was important for us to have a visually-appealing, user-friendly platform for managing online giving. Classy has done that for us. We have made a complete shift in our giving strategy from almost exclusively direct-mail appeals to a robust, web-based, crowdfunding and peer-to-peer approach. Additionally, the integration with Salesforce has been instrumental for us in being able to get the most bang for our buck. Finally, the ongoing user support, blog posts, guides, checklists, etc. have really been second-to-none. I can't recommend Classy highly enough.
Cons:
There are still a few features that are coming along - but with Classy's customer support, I'm sure they're on their way!
Classy is the best!
Comments: This platform makes it easy for our fundraisers to raise more money.
Pros:
It's easy to navigate. We have been using it going on our 3rd year. My higher ups attends great conferences. They offer webinars - if you ar not up to speed on anything it's one's on fault. And they are really fun to work with.
Cons:
During our peak season - Dec-Feb - sometimes it can be hard to get through - but it's rare.
Love Classy!
Pros:
Classy has been the most convenient fundraising site I have used. We needed a platform that would allow individuals to fund-raise under a team and Classy allows this.
Cons:
Any time I've run into a problem or issue their customer service is very helpful and responsive. Terms and conditions have changed frequently, however.
Great fundraising tool!
Comments: So far it's served our needs and looking forward to using more.
Pros:
The customization of each of the campaign pages.
Cons:
the mapping from classy into salesforce was not as smooth as I thought.
Great for Peer-to-Peer Fundraising
Pros:
I like how easy it is for someone outside of our organization to set up a page and begin fundraising on our behalf.
Cons:
I wish there was an option to be able to set-up a page for others like our Board or VIP donors, etc. It would make it so much easier for them to then just share their page.
Classy Review
Pros:
Straightforward to use, basic fundraising tools.
Cons:
Terrible customer service, frequently broken and buggy features.
Auto renewal with no cancellation during period
Comments: Horrible.
Pros:
Nothing, nothing nothing nothing nothing. Use NEON! Cheaper and better.
Cons:
Customer service! [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] changed over the last couple of years and Classy kept auto renewing sending a notice (according to them) to an email that didn’t work. They refused to cancel until next renewal date.
